'I went to a Knives Out-inspired whodunnit dinner and was not expecting this'

If you take Cluedo a little too seriously, this immersive dinner could be the next best activity date for you. I went along to The Perfect Bite experience, with tantalising drama and a murder to be solved Ever fancied yourself as Sherlock Holmes or Benoit Blanc? Or maybe you watched the Knives Out films and thought you'd love to be involved in a whodunnit investigation? Either way, if you're looking to add a little more bite to your usual romantic dinner, The Perfect Bite could be the next best dinner date idea. The Perfect Bite - hosted at Gaucho, City of London - adds a tantalising twist to your standard meal, serving up an evening of entertainment while you enjoy your steak and chips. By attending this limited time event, you're signing yourself up to a delicious four-course meal but you'll have to work for it, as you attempt to solve a twist-filled murder mystery, led by detective Logan Locke. ‌ ‌ READ MORE: Daniel Craig looks unrecognisable as he steps out in Venice with wife Rachel Weisz I have to say I wasn't expecting the level of suspense while enjoying my meal. Couples were embroiled in full blow arguments, suspects had breakdowns as we questioned them over their involvement and double lives were exposed. I worked alongside three other guests to find clues between courses, and watch the drama unfold as suspects revealed their true colours as the plot thickened. The Perfect Bite serves as an ideal immersive experience for a group of friends or as an exciting change to your usual date night. I left Gaucho feeling fulfilled, not only had I enjoyed a tasty meal, but I'd also solved a murder and had a decent dose of drama to go and tell my friends about. The Perfect Bite is inspired by Netflix 's Knives Out, which is set for a third instalment. Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery sees Daniel Craig reprising his role as the charming sleuth Benoit. Joining him is an A-list cast including Josh O'Connor (known for Challengers and The Crown), Cailee Spaeny (Alien: Romulus, Priscilla), Mila Kunis (Black Swan) and the legendary Glenn Close (Fatal Attraction, 101 Dalmations). Jeremy Renner is also making a comeback to the franchise. Devotees will recall his stint as the mascot for a hot sauce brand in Glass Onion, but his character in Wake Up Dead Man is entirely unrelated. ‌ The latest instalment will hit the streaming service on December 12, 2025, but Craig admitted that he'd love for the movie to go into theatres. 'Hopefully, Netflix will push it out a bit, and people will get to see it. The people I speak to – the fans, I suppose – all they want to do is take their families and go see it at the cinemas. That's all they want to do. Hopefully we can give them that experience,' the former James Bond star told Variety. Netflix's first-look prompted reactions from fans, with one saying: "Let's go. Love Daniel Craig in this role," while another commented: "I'm just here for Benoit Blanc's Southern charm and all the chaos in between." Another film enthusiast predicted: "This mystery is shaping up to be the best one yet." ‌ How to book The Perfect Bite Immersive Dinner The Perfect Bite, A Dinner Experience Inspired by Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery takes place at Gaucho City of London. New development announced for luxury hotel Holm House complex

New development announced for luxury hotel Holm House complex The boutique hotel in Penarth has hosted celebrities like Harry Styles, David Hasselhof and Daniel Craig and now there is a new development The Holm House was first built in the 1920s, becoming apart of the fabric of Penarth's community (Image: Mirrorpix ) An historic Welsh building is set for a new lease of life this summer, as the team behind one of Cardiff's most in-demand restaurants announces plans to open at the landmark site. Located on Marine Parade, with sweeping views over the Bristol Channel, Holm House will become the second venue for Silures - recently named Cardiff's most booked restaurant of 2024, by The Fork. This venture is being launched by Cardiff company A&M Hospitality Group, which was founded by Andrei Maxim and Daf Andrews. Their backgrounds include leading roles at some of London's most prestigious venues including the Savoy Grill, Galvin Bar & Grill and The Coral Room. ‌ They have a popular restaurant in Roath, Cardiff, and they say this new venture will bring its signature blend of European cooking, cocktails and warm hospitality to the scenic coastal town. The building is cherished locally and has been listed as a "country treasure" in Penarth's conservation area appraisal. Explaining why they have decided to open a new restaurant there, Daf Andrews said: "Penarth felt like the natural next step - a vibrant town with a strong sense of community and an appetite for quality hospitality. "Holm House is a beautiful building, and the rooms, spa and garden offer something truly special. The private dining space and outdoor areas give us more flexibility to host everything from intimate dinners to events and celebrations, while staying true to the Silures experience." ‌ The Penarth site will include a 50-seat main restaurant, a bar area with space for 25, a private dining room for 22 and garden terrace that can seat up to 50 or host up to 100 standing guests. The new venue hopes to bring the warm hospitality and great food, which it's Roath restaurant has become famed for (Image: A&M Hospitality Group ) Silures Penarth opens July 11, and bookings are already being taken. Aaron Taylor-Johnson drops cryptic clue he could be next James Bond at 28 Years Later premiere in London

Aaron Taylor-Johnson has further fuelled rumors he could be the next James Bond after responding cryptically to a question about his upcoming projects. Speculation about the forthcoming movie has been heating up in recent weeks with fans desperate to discover who will be following in the footsteps of Daniel Craig. At the world premiere of 28 Years Later in London on Wednesday, a Deadline reporter asked the Kick-Ass actor: 'What are you doing next?' The 35-year-old replied, 'I can't talk about it', as he was pulled away by his entourage. Some saw the curt response as a hint that his next project could be the 007 franchise, based on the novels by Ian Fleming. The Godzilla star has been one of those actors touted for the role, with Aaron even becoming the bookies' frontrunner at points. In May, Aaron appeared to hint that he could be the next superstar to don the iconic tux after signing a deal with the film's watch provider, Omega. Prior to Amazon's purchase of the Bond franchise, it was rumoured that Aaron was former Bond producer Barbara Broccoli's ideal candidate to take over the reigns from Craig. But he slightly dropped down the lists after playing it cool when asked about the possibility of him starring in the next movie. 'It's not really for me to say anything,' he told Esquire when quizzed about speculation. But the superstar joined Omega's family of global ambassadors - the makers of the watches which have been on the wrists of 007 actors for 30 years. Pierce Brosnan, 72, was the first special agent to don Omega during the 1995 film GoldenEye and the partnership has flourished ever since, with Craig wearing the brand's Seamaster watch during No Time To Die. After signing the deal, Aaron said: 'I have always had an appreciation for timepieces but especially for Omega. At the world premiere of 28 Years Later in London on Wednesday, a Deadline reporter asked the Kick-Ass actor: 'What are you doing next?' After signing the lavish new deal, the actor said: 'I have always had an appreciation for timepieces but especially for Omega' 'Now, after visiting the factory, I am in awe of the skill required to manufacture such a luxurious product.' Omega's CEO described Aaron as a 'versatile actor with a range that covers action, thriller, romance and much more'. It's precisely those qualities - and his striking good looks - that have led to the actor's strong links to the role. Last week, Jonathan Bailey responded to rumours touting him as the next James Bond during an awkward exchange with Scott Mills on BBC Radio 2. Daniel Craig relinquished his 'license to kill' with the 2021 film No Time To Die, which also proved to be the last masterminded by Bond producer of 30 years Barbara Broccoli after Amazon took over 'creative control' of the franchise. Having spent a reported $1billion on sealing the deal, the company are said to be fast-tracking the new movie with Hollywood producers David Heyman and Amy Pascal hired to bring in the new era of Bond. They're likely to want to put their own spin on 007, with Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey said to be one of the names in the running. Pressed by Scott about the rumours, the 37-year-old responded: 'That's an amazingly flattering ask. I mean, it would be hard to say no.' While Bailey stopped short of confirming anything official, he teased: 'I don't know, I really honestly... I mean it would be hard to say no.' The actor then joked with Scott: 'I could imagine you as James Blonde,' to which the host replied: 'Well swerved!' 'I know that it's going to be exciting whatever they do,' Bailey then affirmed. It came after the Brit - who played the starring role in Bridgerton - was tipped for the part of 007 by Harris Dickinson, 28, who had been a bookies' favourite. Harris had been in attendance at a BFI event in Cannes last month when he was asked who he thought would be the best Bond with the questioner saying that he was their 'second choice' for the role. 'Jonathan Bailey is your first choice, so lets go with that,' said Harris. 'That sounds like a good idea.'

28 Years Later actor leans into speculation he could be the next James Bond

Speculation is intensifying that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is the next James Bond, following his cryptic response to a question about his upcoming projects. When asked what he was doing next, Taylor-Johnson replied, "I can't talk about it," which some interpreted as confirmation of his involvement in the secretive 007 franchise. The actor recently became a global ambassador for Omega, a watch brand that has been associated with James Bond actors for 30 years. Daniel Craig, who played James Bond for the longest continuous reign, retired from the role after the 2021 film "No Time to Die." Amazon Prime recently acquired full creative control over the James Bond franchise, following its acquisition of MGM Studios.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson Fuels Bond Rumours With This Awkward 28 Years Later Red Carpet Moment

Aaron Taylor-Johnson… will you just spill already? It's now been well over a year since speculation went into overdrive about whether the Bullet Train actor would be taking over the role of James Bond in the iconic spy franchise, following Daniel Craig's final outing in 2021's No Time To Die. It seemed we finally had our answer in March 2024 when an unnamed 'source' told The Sun that the Tenet star had been offered the gig. However, this was then cast into doubt just one day later, when a 'production insider' told BBC News there was 'no truth in the rumours'. Despite the ongoing mystery, Aaron is hardly helping put our racing minds to rest. Appearing on the red carpet at the world premiere of his new film 28 Years Later in London on Wednesday, the actor was asked by Deadline what he was up to next. Aaron Taylor-Johnson declined answering a question about what he's doing next during the #28YearsLater world premiere. 'I can't talk about it,' he said as he was being escorted away — Deadline (@DEADLINE) June 18, 2025 He coyly replied that he 'can't talk about it' before being whisked away by a member of his publicity team. But while neither party actually mentioned James Bond, Aaron's response had everyone in agreement that he was only adding more fuel to the speculation fire… it's time — Cinema Tweets (@CinemaTweets1) June 18, 2025 i wonder how he likes his martinis — santeagu 🇧🇷 (@SanteaguArt) June 19, 2025 Oh... — Gaby Rogut 🇲🇽 🏳️🌈🩷💜💙 (@gabyfilmmaker) June 19, 2025 James Bond confirmed — Bobby Dollars (@BLKGLFNKS) June 19, 2025 Its gonna be bond isnt it? — santinerino (@santinorubano) June 19, 2025 — Frankly, my dear ⚜ (@Carenfc) June 19, 2025 he's definitely bond, isn't he? — ellie ゚𐦍༘⋆ (@cinebutlers) June 19, 2025 — That Viking Gamer (@VikingGamer_) June 19, 2025 Please God. Even his red carpet appearance at the Venice Film Festival last September seemed to point to the fact that he was next in line to play Bond. If he is, indeed, taking the reins in the legendary franchise, he's already received the seal of approval from two former 007s. Meanwhile, fans think they spotted a seriously big clue last month about Aaron, that might just be the James Bond confirmation we've all been waiting for. Besides Aaron, there have been numerous other British stars are reported to be in the running for the highly coveted role, from Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Richard Madden and even Harry Styles.
