This week, fans seem certain that they uncovered another one of those Easter eggs.
As one popular Taylor Swift fan account pointed out on social media this week, the first letter of all of the categories atop Taylor's official merch shop currently spells out "AMAs" – Apparel, Music, Accessories, and Sale. This has led fans to speculate that she is preparing a significant announcement at the American Music Awards on May 26.
While this might seem like just a coincidence, one fan pointed out that the change actually occurred on April 29, which lines up with the lyrics from her song "High Infidelity" which says, "Do you really want to know where I was April 29?"
Needless to say, the apparent hint has Swifties bracing for an announcement.
"three of these just take you to the merch... this is definitely on purpose," one fan wrote in a post on X.
"I know a true Taylor Swift Easter egg when I see one," another person added.
"Something is for sure happening at the AMAs," someone else said.
"I feel like she's up to something. This is an obvious easter egg," another fan added.
"Are you telling me we actually have an Easter egg for maybe an announcement?" someone else wrote.
It's worth noting that this is currently the largest "break" that Taylor has taken between the release of her albums since she released her album "Lover" with Republic Records in August of 2019. So she's long overdue for a new release.
