Llanfest 2025 in Llangollen: Here's who is on the line up
Taking place at the Llangollen Pavilion on Sunday, June 8, from 2pm to 10.30pm, the event promises a day of live music, family-friendly activities, and a festival atmosphere.
The 2025 lineup features a mix of indie, rock, and pop music, with headliners and emerging talent alike.
Among the first to perform will be Llangollen's own four-piece, Kuff Dam.
The band is set to bring their indie rock sound, influenced by The Verve, Muse, The Amazons, and Royal Blood.
Luke from Kuff Dam said: "We are absolutely buzzing to be playing Llanfest this year.
"As local lads, we've been wanting to get on the bill for a few years now, so getting the opportunity to open up the show in our hometown is proper mint.
"We've been busy gigging recently and are really looking forward to adding Llanfest to our dates."
Other acts include The Cazadors, a five-piece rock, funk, and soul band also from Llangollen, and Seprona, a five-piece rock band from Liverpool.
Manchester's indie group, Muddy Elephant, will also perform, as will seven-piece psychedelic revivalists, Galore.
Monstaball, known for their high-energy performances, will deliver exhilarating party vibes, while Chilled, an indie rock band formed in 1998, will represent Corwen.
Amnesia, a Liverpool-based club classics dance band, will perform euphoric dance tracks live.
Kids are set to have a great day out too, as the event is offering free entry for accompanied children.
Keith Potts from the Llangollen Pavilion said: "Llanfest 2025 is a true celebration of music, community, and culture, bringing together festival-goers of all ages.
"Best of all, accompanied children can attend for free, making it a perfect day out for families.
"Alongside live music, people can enjoy a range of food and drink stalls, entertainment, and the unique atmosphere of the Llangollen Pavilion."

'William has key priority he'd never put in jeopardy - despite any criticism'
Prince William is marking a special day today as he celebrates turning 43 - and it comes after he puts what he described as a 'brutal' year behind him From tackling climate change and saving the oceans to trying to solve the homelessness crisis, Prince William seems to be a man on a mission. In recent months the Prince of Wales has been carrying out work linked to a range of causes close to his heart - including mental health and the climate crisis - combining it with the pomp and pageantry of royal events such as Trooping the Colour and the ancient Order of the Garter ceremony. But today, he will surely be swapping any work matters for precious family time with the Princess of Wales and their children as he celebrates his 43rd birthday. A year ago, William was in a very different place, as wife Kate was still undergoing chemotherapy treatment after her cancer diagnosis. At the same time, his father the King has also been diagnosed with the disease. Not only was he on hand to support them both, but he also proved to be a rock for his three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. He memorably described 2024 as "brutal" and significantly one of the "hardest of his life". But with Kate now in remission, things look different 12 months on as he turns a year older, focus shifts slightly to duty. In the past week, not only has he been at Trooing and Garter Day but also Royal Ascot and carried out a visit alongside actress Cate Blanchett to Colorifix - a Norwich-based company which creates sustainable dye for clothing, and is one of his Earthshot Prize finalists. And former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond tells the Mirror that William is "extremely serious" when it comes to the job that his life has given him. She explained: "As he himself has said, if he can't make some kind of difference, some kind of impact on issues he cares so deeply about – then what is the point of being a prince or of having such a high profile platform? "So, now that the crisis of the past 18 months has eased, he seems to be working pretty much flat out for much of the time, and I'm sure that will continue." But despite his work and duty, there is one thing that always comes first for William as well as wife Kate - family. William is a very hands-on parent, doing the school run and ferrying the kids to their various after-school sports clubs and activities. Putting family first was no more so evident than at Easter earlier this year when he and his family skipped the traditional Easter Sunday church service with the King and Queen at Windsor to spend precious family time together - all with the King's blessing. And even if his schedule may seem busier, Jennie believes this family time is something William will always make a priority. She said: "These years are a period when, without the never-ending state duties of a monarch, he can be allowed to concentrate rather more fully on his wife and children. So I think school holidays will continue to be ring-fenced as much as possible, even if he is criticised for doing so. "You just have to look at the pictures of William and his children released for Father's Day to see how much they adore him and how close they are as a family. This tall, handsome, smiling man is their dad and their protector. And William would never want to put that in any jeopardy." It's not known exactly what type of birthday celebration will be in store for William today - but no doubt it will involve Kate and the kids. Last year, Kate shared an incredible photo of her husband and three children leaping over sand dunes in Norfolk with the message: "Happy birthday Papa, we all love you so much! Cx" His father the King also shared a baby photo of the Prince sitting on his lap. And Jennie added: "His birthday is on a Saturday this year, so there'll be a chance for a family celebration. I doubt it will be anything particularly grand - it's more likely they'll enjoy a family barbecue and a romp around the garden or beach."

Brooklyn Beckham receives word of warning as he continues to shun family amid feud
Brooklyn Beckham has been urged to break his silent treatment to better his furture prospects. Brooklyn Beckham has been given a stern word of warning as he continues to give his family the silent treatment as he bids to go it alone in the US. Amidst the family feud with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, the 26-year-old bought a permanent home in Los Angeles with his wife Nicola Peltz. This comes after the eldest Beckhams' son had snubbed his dad on his 50th birthday, as well as his long-awaited knighthood. The couple were not seen to attend either event or celebrate the occasions through social media. While both the couple and the Beckhams are keeping quiet about the situation, Brooklyn is being urged to break the current silent treatment by PR to the stars Jane Owen. In order to create a positive brand, Jane argues that silence isn't always the best answer. Speaking to the Mirror, she said: "The problem with not saying anything is that it allows people to assume the worst. Silence is extremely damaging because silence in itself is a statement. "When people are having a field day throwing out all kinds of criticism and he's not saying anything it's the same as saying 'yes, that's right'. People will just assume that if it wasn't true he would say something so the silence is compliance." Jane instead believes that honesty is the best policy, as it allows fans to see the human side of celebrities. She added: "Fighting with your family is something everyone can relate to. So is making up with them. So is saying 'this is a private family matter and we appreciate you letting us figure it out ourselves'. "Anything other than silence and anything remotely relatable would likely help his situation and bring people on to his side." While the influencer is now wanting to start fresh in the US, the PR guru has also noted that while Brooklyn is known in the states, it is more to do with his family connections. She argues that if he is intent on making a name for himself away from his family ties and the current feud, then he needs to pick a lane and push on with it. The US-based PR expert said: "He has a certain amount of name recognition but honestly that's mostly because of his famous parents and his last name. People in the US know his name but they would not be able to tell you much about him or what he does apart from just existing. "I would strongly recommend that he pick a career and really go for it in a public way. He has enough brand recognition in his last name that he could get a lot of press attention about whatever it is that he decides he wants to do as himself, whether that's being a chef or restaurateur or a content creator or whatever. "He needs to be loud about it so that people start seeing him as Himself and not just someone's offspring." According to sources, the move to Los Angeles and the purchase of a permanent home is said to be nothing to do with the rift between the Beckhams and Brooklyn and Nicola. Instead, the source says that Brooklyn sees LA as "where his home is". They added: "This house has nothing to do with family dynamics. Both Nicola and Brooklyn's careers are based in Los Angeles, and Brooklyn spent part of his childhood there while his father played for LA Galaxy. "During that time, he attended school in LA for several years and built a life and friendships in the city. LA has always felt like home to him." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Ronnie O'Sullivan's snooker plans become clearer after reuniting with girlfriend Laila Rouass
Ronnie O'Sullivan's snooker plans become clearer after reuniting with girlfriend Laila Rouass Ronnie O'Sullivan plans for the new snooker season have emerged following the news that the seven-time world champion has reconciled with long-term partner Laila Rouass Ronnie O'Sullivan and Laila Rouass have got back together (Image: Getty ) Ronnie O'Sullivan's manager has revealed the snooker icon's plans for the new season following a tumultuous 2024/25 campaign both on and off the table. The Rocket's frustrations peaked during a round of Championship League action in January when he snapped his cue in anger and subsequently withdrew from the Masters at Alexandra Palace and host of other tournaments. Equipped with a new cue, he made a much-anticipated comeback at the World Championship in April, reaching the semi-finals despite ongoing equipment issues. After losing to eventual champion Zhao Xintong, O'Sullivan announced his plans to relocate to the Middle East, where he has a snooker academy in Saudi Arabia in his name. In personal news, the Rocket is reportedly back together with actress Laila Rouass, following their split nine months ago. The pair are rumoured to be planning for a new life in Dubai, a two-hour flight away from his Riyadh-based academy. Jason Francis, O'Sullivan's long-standing manager, revealed that the 49-year-old has been thriving in his new environment and anticipates his participation in the Shanghai Masters, a prestigious invitational event commencing on July 28. "Ronnie's moved out to the Middle East for a while. You'll probably see him first in Shanghai. He's had a little break from the UK," Francis told the Express. Article continues below O'Sullivan is enjoying life in the Middle East (Image: Getty ) "You're talking about someone who can't go to the shop without being asked for a selfie, a photo. Where he is, he's finding a life a little bit quieter at the moment. "Ronnie's Ronnie. He'll decide when he wants to play and everyone knows he can come from nowhere to win a major tournament. You won't see Ronnie play a full schedule [this season] but I think you'll see him try and properly prepare for the tournaments he plays in. "He'll still be the sport's most commercial player in the short-term. Whether Zhao Xintong or [Judd] Trump can pick up that mantle now as we transition... Ronnie will be 50 in December, people have to remember that. They still expect him to turn up and win everything." O'Sullivan will pick and choose his tournaments this season (Image: Getty ) While still struggling with his game, making the last four at the Crucible was an impressive feat after so long out. On O'Sullivan's performance at the World Championship, Francis added: "Absolutely incredible. He didn't even have a cue a few weeks before! Article continues below "But that's Ronnie for you. He had one bad session [losing all eight frames in the second session]. I'm not saying he could have beaten Xintong - there was a feeling his name was on the trophy - but apart from one bad session, he was still toe to toe with him. "I think if he had beaten Xintong, him and Mark Williams would have been an incredible final. But it's great for snooker to have a Chinese world champion and it's for World Snooker to exploit that over there." The Shanghai Masters will see the top 16 players in the world rankings joined by the next four highest-ranked Chinese players. The tournament boasts a prize fund of £825,000, with the winner banking £210,000.
