Fans can't get over how much Ava Phillippe's boyfriend looks like her father
Ava Phillippe will never live down the comparisons — and neither will her boyfriend. The 25-year-old daughter of actors Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe has made plenty of headlines through the years due to her striking resemblance to her iconic mother and father. But now fans are bringing her boyfriend, Dakota Brubaker, into the mix. Ava Phillippe and Brubaker, a musician who goes by the stage name Vindigo, went Instagram official in December after previously teasing their relationship several months prior. On June 10, Ava Phillippe posted a TikTok video of her and Brubaker lip syncing to Ke$ha's hit song, 'Your Love Is My Drug.' And it didn't take long for the 16-second clip to go viral. 'Close enough. Welcome back Reese & Ryan!' one fan wrote in the comment section. Fans were quick to point out how much Ava Phillippe looked like a '50-50 match' of her parents, but others were more focused on how much Brubaker resembled her father. 'Thought it was her dad for a split second,' one fan wrote, while another commented, 'Reese and Ryan is that you?' On June 11, Ava Phillippe returned to TikTok with a hilarious reaction to the comparisons. In the video, Ava Phillippe is standing in the kitchen when her boyfriend slides into frame wearing a black turtleneck and reading glasses — recreating her parents' look when they co-starred in 'Cruel Intentions.' 'You guys… whaaaaattt,' she wrote in the caption, while mouthing 'No, no, no, no,' in the video. The video was also set to The Verve's 'Bitter Sweet Symphony,' which was the song that played at the end of her parents' iconic movie, released in 1999. 'This song choice is DIABOLICAL,' one fan wrote in the comments, while another added, 'Not the turtle neck too.' Ryan Phillippe and Witherspoon met in 1997 at the latter's 21st birthday party, according to People. They quickly became one of Hollywood's biggest 'it' couples after announcing their engagement in 1998 and co-starred in 'Cruel Intentions' the following year, which officially put them on the map. The couple married in June 1999 and welcomed their first child (a daughter named Ava) in September of that year — six months after the premiere of 'Cruel Intentions.' 'I mean… technically you were IN Cruel Intentions…' one fan commented under Ava Phillippe's recent TikTok. Ryan Phillippe and Witherspoon welcomed a second child, a son named Deacon, in October 2003 before separating in 2006 and finalizing their divorce in 2008. Witherspoon has since welcomed a second son, Tennessee James, with her other ex-husband Jim Toth, whom she announced her divorce from in 2023. Meanwhile, Ryan Phillippe shares a second daughter, Kai, with his ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp.

When it comes to Ava Phillippe, she's been compared to her famous parents, Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, her entire life. In every video she posts, every picture she shares, fans will be all over the comment section pointing out just how similar she looks to her parents when they were younger. But her latest post has apparently hit a nerve. On TikTok, the 25-year-old, who recently made her acting debut in Doctor Odyssey, posted a video alongside her boyfriend, Dakota Brubaker, singing to Kesha's 2010 song, 'Your Love Is My Drug.' While Ava sang the lyrics in a light brown off-the-shoulder top, brown belt, and jeans, Brubaker rocked out in the back in a black tank top, black sunglasses, and baggy jeans. To the first comment above, Ava responded in another video. In it, Brubaker, now rocking a black long-sleeved turtleneck, removes his reading glasses and joins Ava in looking appalled at the camera. For all the Cruel Intentions fans out there, the look is almost exactly like the one Ryan wears in the movie. Coincidence much? In the video, Ava and Brubaker then join in mouthing 'no' over and over again while the song 'Bittersweet Symphony' by The Verve plays (which just so happens to be the final song in Cruel Intentions). If you ask us, they're totally in on the joke. 'You guys… whaaaaattt,' Ava wrote in the caption. In the comment section, fans continue to stand by the comparison. 'If not Cruel Intentions, why Cruel Intentions shaped?' one commenter joked. We couldn't agree more! Prior to her videos, rumors had circulated about a rift between Ava and her dad. But, in a recent interview with Elite Daily in May, Ava seemingly squashed any rumors of a feud. 'I've had a really good guiding light in my parents,' Ava told the outlet. Notably, Dakota appears to pay homage to Sebastian by wearing a black turtleneck and glasses in the clip. Llanfest 2025 in Llangollen: Here's who is on the line up
Taking place at the Llangollen Pavilion on Sunday, June 8, from 2pm to 10.30pm, the event promises a day of live music, family-friendly activities, and a festival atmosphere. The 2025 lineup features a mix of indie, rock, and pop music, with headliners and emerging talent alike. Among the first to perform will be Llangollen's own four-piece, Kuff Dam. The band is set to bring their indie rock sound, influenced by The Verve, Muse, The Amazons, and Royal Blood. Luke from Kuff Dam said: "We are absolutely buzzing to be playing Llanfest this year. "As local lads, we've been wanting to get on the bill for a few years now, so getting the opportunity to open up the show in our hometown is proper mint. "We've been busy gigging recently and are really looking forward to adding Llanfest to our dates." Other acts include The Cazadors, a five-piece rock, funk, and soul band also from Llangollen, and Seprona, a five-piece rock band from Liverpool. Manchester's indie group, Muddy Elephant, will also perform, as will seven-piece psychedelic revivalists, Galore. Monstaball, known for their high-energy performances, will deliver exhilarating party vibes, while Chilled, an indie rock band formed in 1998, will represent Corwen. Amnesia, a Liverpool-based club classics dance band, will perform euphoric dance tracks live. Kids are set to have a great day out too, as the event is offering free entry for accompanied children. Keith Potts from the Llangollen Pavilion said: "Llanfest 2025 is a true celebration of music, community, and culture, bringing together festival-goers of all ages. "Best of all, accompanied children can attend for free, making it a perfect day out for families. "Alongside live music, people can enjoy a range of food and drink stalls, entertainment, and the unique atmosphere of the Llangollen Pavilion."

Richard Ashcroft told Noel Gallagher he was the "only person" who could open for Oasis on their reunion tour. Gallagher is reuniting with his estranged brother Liam and their bandmates to get the group back on the road this summer for series of sell-out stadium shows on the 'Oasis Live '25 Tour' and The Verve star Ashcroft will be supporting them on all of their UK and Ireland shows - and he's convinced he was the right choice because of his long history with Oasis. In an interview on 'The Chris Moyles Show' on Radio X, Ashcroft explained: "I see it as I've got a very important part to play in this. "You know, back in the day Oasis supported The Verve and then it flipped around and we supported Oasis at Earls Court, then I as a solo artist have played with Oasis. "I said to Noel: 'You know, I think I'm the only person who could go in this slot. Especially for a huge outdoor show, because everyone wants your lot. And unless you're coming with something, unless you've got something to offer, I don't know what's gonna happen'." Oasis previously opened for The Verve back in 1993 before the release of their 1994 debut album 'Definitely Maybe' and Ashcroft's band went on to support the brothers' group at The Bataclan venue in Paris, France in 1995. Ashcroft went on to perform with Oasis at gigs in Scotland in 1995 and he also sang on their track 'All Around The World' which featured on the 1997 record 'Be Here Now'. He added: "I think it's great that we're still around. I've been there almost in that whole story together with them. Right from the day one. "Before their album came out, first album [1994's 'Definitely Maybe'], seen that. They were kind of like mega successful before I was. They were on [TV show] 'Top Of The Pops'. By the time it was my turn, it was like they'd been all over it. "They sold millions of albums, blah, blah, blah, but the rarity of that, that you could have two bands, both in transits off playing to 300 people. "Both saying: 'We're gonna do this.' 'No, no we're gonna do that'. And for that to happen is incredible." Cast will also be opening for the band on the 'Oasis Live '25 Tour', which kicks off in Cardiff, Wales on July 4.
