Boston Celtics fans should still be worried about Jaylen Brown's knee
Jaylen Brown is dealing with a bone bruise that has limited some of his mobility, while also sapping the burst out of his first step. The Boston Celtics star has also been dealing with knee tendinopathy for the past few years. However, despite Brown's recent injury struggles, he has been suiting up for the Celtics and finding ways to impact games.
Brown's mid-range shooting has become a key factor in his ability to remain impactful. While his knee issues will undoubtedly limit his explosiveness around the rim, he can play under more control when hunting space in the mid-range. Once the playoffs begin, Brown will have plenty of room to operate, as most teams shift toward a drop coverage due to the half-court nature of the postseason.

Nevertheless, Felger and Mazz recently shared their concerns regarding Brown's knee issues on 98.5 The Sport's Hub. They discussed whether Brown will be anywhere near 100% healthy once the playoffs arrive, and whether he can sustain the physicality of the postseason on what will likely be another deep run.

Magic Johnson Takes A Shot At The Celtics After Jeanie Buss' $10 Billion Lakers Sale
Magic Johnson Takes A Shot At The Celtics After Jeanie Buss' $10 Billion Lakers Sale originally appeared on Fadeaway World. The sports world is shaken up as Jeanie Buss has decided to sell the Buss family's majority stake in the Lakers to the majority owner of the LA Dodgers, Mark Walter. The deal valued the LA-based franchise at a whopping $10 billion, the highest valuation ever given to an NBA team. Advertisement Following the report that broke the news about the deal, Magic Johnson, the Lakers legend, went on social media to express his feelings about this sale. Johnson also co-owns the LA Dodgers alongside Walters, and hence had a detailed reaction to the news. However, the highlight of his responses was when he hilariously did not miss the chance to take a shot at the Lakers' long-term rivals, the Celtics. "Just like I thought, when the Celtics sold for $6B, I knew the Lakers were worth $10B!", wrote the NBA legend on X. The Celtics were the last NBA team that sold its majority stake, and it was valued at $6 billion, considered the highest-ever at the time. Now the Lakers have dwarfed that valuation, exceeding it by $4 billion. His full response was an in-depth explanation of what makes him most excited about this move. His initial reaction was to congratulate Jeanie Buss and Mark Walter for striking the deal, and what makes Walter the best fit to carry on Jerry Buss' legacy. Advertisement "Job well done to my sister Jeanie Buss for striking an incredible deal and picking the right person to carry on the @Lakers legacy and tradition of winning - Mark Walter, my business partner and friend! Mark Walter is the best choice and will be the best caretaker of the Laker brand. The proof is in the pudding on what he's been able to accomplish with the LA Dodgers. Mark has been nothing short of a winner, notching 2 World Series and 11 NL West divisional titles in the last 12 years!" He then went on to explain why the Lakers' fans should be as excited as he is and tried to rationalize why Jeanie Buss decided to sell the majority ownership stake. "Laker fans should be ecstatic. A few things I can tell you about Mark - he is driven by winning, excellence, and doing everything the right way. AND he will put in the resources needed to win! I can understand why Jeanie sold the team to Mark Walter because they are just alike - they are competitive people, have big hearts, love to give back, and both prefer to be behind the scenes. This makes all the sense in the world. I am so so SO happy and excited for @Lakers fans all over the world!!" "I know that my sister Jeanie would have only considered selling the Lakers organization to someone she knows and trusts would carry on the Buss legacy, started by her father, Dr. Buss. Now she can comfortably pass the baton to Mark Walter, with whom she has a real friendship and can trust. She's witnessed him build a winning team with the Dodgers and knows that Mark will do right by the Lakers team, organization, and fans! Both are extremely intelligent, visionaries, great leaders, and have positively impacted the greater Los Angeles community! I love both my sister @JeanieBuss and my business partner Mark Walter." Advertisement Jeanie Buss is expected to remain as the governor of the team in the future. This means that she still owns or represents at least a 15% ownership stake in the team to continue to hold that position. (worth $1.5 billion on current valuation). Following his conversation with Buss, Johnson went back on social media. "I just talked to my sister Jeanie Buss to tell her congratulations, and that I'm so happy for her and her family. I told her that her dad, Dr. Buss, would be very proud of her for getting $10B for the Lakers, the largest sports franchise sale in history!" Mark Walter now co-owns three major sports franchises in Los Angeles. Two of which he co-owns with Magic Johnson: the Dodgers and the Sparks. He also owns multiple other sports teams, like the Cadillac Formula One team, expected to compete in 2026 and even the whole Professional Women's Hockey League. Advertisement With this purchase, Walters has successfully built himself a sports empire that dominates most of Los Angeles-based sports, at least. Advertisement The draft begins Wednesday night in Brooklyn with the first round, and then the second round will take place Thursday night. The 2025 draft class is considered by most experts to be pretty strong, especially in the lottery. The No. 1 pick is widely expected to be Duke star Cooper Flagg, who has all the makings of a generational star. But he's not the only highly rated prospect in this group. The Boston Celtics have the No. 28 pick in the first round and the second pick (No. 32 overall) in the second round. It's very important for the Celtics to get at least one decent player from this class, given the fact that they are among the few teams in the second apron of the luxury tax. 76 days until the Texans' 2025 season opener: Who has worn No.76?
The Houston Texans are less than 100 days away from kicking off the 2025 season in Los Angeles against the Rams at SoFi Stadium and we're counting down the days until a victory ensues on the west coast. Texans Wire will each day tell you which player has worn the number of the day leading up to kickoff and pick the player who ensured the number best during their time at NRG Stadium. As for today, let's take a look at who has won No. 76 since the inaugural season in 2002. Texans players to wear No. 76 No. 76 currently belongs to offensive tackle Austin Deculus. After being a member of the 2022 draft class, Deculus bounced around in 2024 before joining the Texans ahead of the playoffs. He's a long shot to start this fall on the right side of the offensive line, but given his relationship with offensive line coach Cole Popovich, he could at least make the active roster come Week 1. Deculus wore the jersey before Kenyon Green switched over from No. 59, so he's not the best player to don the number. In fact, everyone should know who the best player is to wear No. 76 over the last two decades. Best Player: Duane Brown While some would consider Laremy Tunsil as the greatest offensive tackle in franchise history, Brown is the best drafted player at the position by a significant margin. After a slow start to his career on the blindside, Brown eventually became a fixture of the trenches, posting three straight Pro Bowl seasons starting in 2012. He also was named a first-team All-Pro in 2012 after not allowing a sack in over 800 pass-blocking snaps. While his tenure ended on a sour note over contract disputes, he'll still be a stable force for Houston's overall turnaround under Gary Kubiak and later Bill O'Brien. Add in the fact that he remains one of the better linemen in franchise history and it's hard to imagine anyone else belongs in the conversation of G.O.A.T. for No. 76. Shout-out to McKinney. He spent five seasons as a starter when the franchise was first founded, but the record hurts his case, espcially since David Carr still remains the most-sacked quarterback in a single season.
