The Sun30-04-2025

EASTENDERS fans were left absolutely gobsmacked as they spotted the sister of a very famous star appearing as an extra.
On the BBC One soap, Harry (Elijah Holloway) was trying to teach Kojo (Dayo Koleosho) the art of the chat-up.

The pair were getting ready to celebrate Nicola's (Laura Doddington) birthday when they spotted a group of ladies by the bar.
Later on, Harry approached one of them, only to be confronted by a previous one night stand whom he ghosted.
Although he failed massively, fans of EastEnders couldn't help but notice something else entirely amongst the group.
One of the ladies was the sister of Lacey Turner, 37, who has starred in the show as Stacey Slater since 2004.
Lacey confirmed she had given birth to her third child with partner Matt Kay in January of this year.
Her sister Lily Ruby Turner is a 22-year-old actress who also dabbles in singing, according to her YouTube profile.
She boasts over 17,000 followers on her TikTok account, where she regularly uploads videos which showcase her talent.
Fans could not help but notice her prominent positioning as they claimed that this was not her first time on the soap.
She previously played a young Shenice Quinn, daughter of Martina Quinn (Tamara Wall) who was looked after by Kat (Jessie Wallace) and Alfie (Shane Richie).
One fan gushed: "She was in it years ago as a little girl kat and Alfie cared for."

A second stated: "I KNEW SHE LOOKED FAMILIAR."
While a third enquired: "She played Sheniece didn't she?"
Other enthusiastic viewers could also not get over the striking resemblance between her and her super famous sister.
Someone else exclaimed: "She looks like 2010 stacey omg
And a fifth added: "Omg she's Lacey reincarnated."
Stacey Slater's biggest EastEnders storylines
Stacey Slater, played by Lacey Turner, is one of the most iconic characters on EastEnders. Since her introduction in 2004, Stacey has been at the center of some of the soap's most memorable and gripping storylines. Here's a rundown of a few.
Mental Health Struggles and Bipolar Diagnosis (2009)
Stacey's battle with bipolar disorder was one of the soap's groundbreaking storylines. Her erratic behavior, mood swings, and hallucinations led to her eventual diagnosis, highlighting the challenges of living with mental illness.
Stacey and Max Branning's Affair (2007)
One of the most explosive storylines in the soap's history involved Stacey's affair with her father-in-law, Max Branning. Stacey was married to Max's son Bradley at the time, and their affair was exposed in dramatic fashion on Christmas Day when a recording of their tryst was played to the entire family.
The Murder of Archie Mitchell (2009)
After a widespread hunt for Archie's killer EastEnders fans eventually discovered Stacey was responsible for his death. She murdered him on Christmas day after he raped her. When she confessed her crime to Max Branning, the couple got closer.
Postpartum Psychosis (2016)
After the birth of her son Arthur, Stacey suffered from postpartum psychosis. She struggled with delusions and became paranoid, believing that the devil was trying to harm her child. Her breakdown was a pivotal moment that brought her close to her family and helped educate the public about this serious mental health condition.
Stacey's Imprisonment (2021)
Stacey faced imprisonment after being falsely accused of attacking her one time best friend, Ruby Allen. This plotline saw Stacey having to leave her family behind while she served time.
Lily's Pregnancy and Becoming a Grandmother (2023)
A recent major storyline saw Stacey grappling with the shock of her 12-year-old daughter Lily becoming pregnant. This brought new challenges and responsibilities for Stacey as she tried to face becoming a grandmother while still dealing with her own struggles.

Truth behind mysterious ‘lie' that has haunted Meghan Markle for 8 years after telling ‘swipe' on her podcast show

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THE truth behind a mysterious "lie" that has haunted Meghan Markle for years has been revealed, experts claim. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, opened up on a podcast this week with entrepreneur and CEO Emma Grede. The mum-of-two was asked by her host: "If you could rewrite your public narrative from scratch, is there anything you would do differently?" Meghan replied: "Yes. I would ask people to tell the truth." Grede came back: "You're very measured about it, I would just get so angry if I felt like everyone was lying about me all the time." "Peaks and valleys," said the Duchess. "Of course, I've gone through those chapters and you do a lot of work, you do a lot of self work and go, 'What's the why?' It's happening for a reason." The mum-of-two also said her "dear friend" Serena Williams told her "a lie can't live for ever". "Eight years is a long time, but not for ever," she added. Experts have been speculating over what the "lie" is, and suggested Meghan was referring to the Royal Family when she said "people". They highlighted Meghan and Harry's 2021 Oprah interview, during which the Duchess said: 'I don't know how they could expect that, after all of this time, we would still just be silent if there is an active role that The Firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us.' Meghan is 'social mountaineering' herself to the top. The lack of authenticity is palpable She added: "It was only once we were married and everything started to really worsen that I came to understand that, not only was I not being protected, but that they were willing to lie to protect other members of the family. "They were not willing to tell the truth to protect myself and my husband." Prince Harry and Meghan met on a blind date in July 2016, before going official later in the year. The Sun published exclusive first pictures of the couple in December as they were spotted hand-in-hand, while out on a date in London. The in 2017, Meghan was on the cover of Vanity Fair for their October 2017 issue and talked publicly about their relationship for the first time. It was later announced that the pair were engaged to be married in spring 2018. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wed at St. George's Chapel in Windsor in front of their family, friends and the world on May 19. They welcomed Prince Archie in June 2019 and stepped down as senior working royals in 2020, quitting the UK. The couple have since been embroiled in a bitter feud with the Firm. Harry, alongside his wife, has continued to drag his family name through the mud, from their 2021 Orpah interview to his 2023 memoir Spare. And, the latest blow to their fractured relationship came when the Duke of Sussex dropped some extraordinary bombshells in a BBC interview last month. He filmed a rare sit-down chat after losing his appeal against the decision to remove his taxpayer-funded security. Royal author and broadcaster Hugo Vickers and news commentator Samara Gill also spoke to The Sun's royal editor Matt Wilkinson this week about Meghan's podcast comments. On Royal Exclusive, Matt noted how he was stunned at Meghan's latest podcast interview where she asked people to "tell the truth about her". Samara said: "The fact is she is a constant liar and her whole brand is built on a spin of lies." "I don't trust a word that woman says. I think it is very, very low for her to insinuate that we should listen to her truth or that the royal family should tell the truth. "The lack of authenticity in that interview is palpable." Samara added that perhaps the "revolving door of staff" the Sussexes have employed may shed more light on "truth". Countless staff members have joined a long list of people who over the years no longer wish to associate with the mum-of-two. Samara also referenced bullying allegations levelled at her from staff during her time at Kensington Palace. The royal expert added: "I don't want to listen to this woman about truth. "The fact of the matter is that she is a constant liar." Hugo agreed with Samara on the issue and questioned how accurate Meghan's accusatory comments actually were. He said: "I think Samara and I, as well as others, do tell the truth about her and I don't think she likes it very much." The royal expert added: "No one would actually listen to Meghan Markle if it wasn't for the fact she married Prince Harry. "It's because she's married to Harry it gives the soap opera quality that seems to appeal to everyone. "Otherwise would not really care about her, a lot of other people are doing stuff similar to her on social media anyway." This comes as Meghan has now has added Rosé wine to her range of As ever products - which is her first alcoholic beverage. The 2023 pink booze from Napa Valley, California, will be sold via her As ever website from July 1. It has been announced alongside two new spreads now available including a Limited-Edition Orange Blossom Honey for $28 (£20). And she has also restocked six of the original products including $15 flower sprinkles. But there is no new raspberry spread available after Meg admitted she may never restock the infamous jam spread. Hypocrite Meghan CAUGHT OUT playing major power game – she knows exactly what she's doing By Leanne Hall, Fabulous Digital Writer ROYAL experts have said Meghan Markle has been caught out playing a power game after she was caught calling herself 'Her Royal Highness'. Meghan was caught using the royal title in a recent podcast interview, which showed an image of a gift basket the Duchess sent to Kern Lima a year ago. The present was filled with ice cream and jam and came with a note on monogrammed paper, signed: "With the compliments of HRH the Duchess of Sussex." Both Meghan and Harry agreed not to use their HRH title at the Sandringham Agreement five years ago amid fears they would use their royal titles to make money after leaving the working royal family. Sources have said that while Meghan and Harry do still have their titles, they agreed not to use them for "commercial purposes". The source said the note was a "personal gift" but the couple don't publicly use HRH. However, The Sun's Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson has said she was 'caught out' by the inclusion of the picture. He said: "She's kind of almost been caught out because I have a theory on this that maybe she hadn't seen the edit or she wasn't aware this picture was going to be shown or maybe her staff didn't realise the gravity or we'd end up talking about it lots. "Is there a danger that it could be, and we don't know, but I'm just guessing, that if she's sending cards to friends, private gifts with HRH, Duchess of Sussex, there are also emails or contacts that we don't see publicly, she could be speaking to Netflix bosses, Spotify bosses using this title." Public Relations Consultant Mark Borkowski also agreed the image caught Meghan out for using the title for leverage. He said: "It's clearly social capital. I mean, I think that I'm sure her PA uses it to ensure that she gets that top table at a restaurant." He went on to add: "Of course it adds weight and she knows it adds weight. And it gives that sort of subliminal aura that she still has links with the British Royal Family, which is a very, very, very powerful brand globally, particularly in America. "And the fact is, if you are disconnected from that, of course, you lose your social capital, you lose your weight in terms of sort of some of these deals that she's trying to do. "I'm sure she is using that, when it's important, when she has to land something to remind the people the power that she possibly has. "This is a power game. And no more than in America where that status is so important because without that status, she's just another sort of B-lister in a continent absolutely populated with celebrities." 5 The couple have been embroiled in a bitter feud with the Firm since quitting the UK in 2020 Credit: Getty

Exit story for EastEnders' Bernie ‘confirmed' as The Six is revisited

The Six may be quietly continuing with their lives after getting away with Keanu Taylor's (Danny Walters) murder in EastEnders, but their crime is set to be revisited as the soap builds towards Bernie Taylor's (Clair Norris) forthcoming exit. Back in September, café worker Bernie found out that Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) killed her brother in the Queen Vic on Christmas Day 2023, with Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Sharon Watts (Letita Dean) all helping her to cover it up. While Bernie has been distressed by the truth, she has so far kept quiet about what she knows, while the rest of Walford still believe deceased villain Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) killed Keanu. After Nish died in January, a shock twist also saw Bernie become a trustee of Nish's businesses until his grandchildren Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) and Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) are old enough to take over. It was recently confirmed that actress Clair Norris, who has played Bernie since 2017, will be leaving EastEnders later this year, and upcoming scenes see her exit storyline kick off. Next week begins with fresh fear for The Six, as Linda's son Johnny Carter's (Charlie Suff) relationship with Bernie's cousin Felix Baker (Matthew James Morrison) continues to blossom. Felix is keen for Bernie to give Johnny her seal of approval, unaware that he helped The Six cover up Keanu's murder. Denise fears that if Johnny doesn't win Bernie over, it could bring the past back to haunt them all. As the week goes on, however, it starts to look like Bernie is plotting something. When Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) is brought in to check the Panesar business accounts, she notices some strange invoices, which, when raised with Bernie, she quickly dismisses. After Vicki tries and fails to broach the subject with Bernie again, her partner Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw) suggests speaking to Ravi Gualti (Aaron Thiara) directly. When she does, Ravi knows nothing about the suspicious invoices, and he and Suki go to confront Bernie about the irregularities. Has Bernie been fiddling the accounts? And what consequences might she face? Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? The latest gossip from Emmerdale? Earlier this month, Clair teased that her exit as Bernie will be 'very dramatic', telling Metro on the red carpet of the British Soap Awards: 'It's exciting. It's an exciting time. Also very dramatic. You'll have to stay tuned.' More Trending Reflecting on her experience as part of The Six storyline, Clair added: 'I absolutely loved doing that storyline. I loved working with the Six, they're amazing women. I definitely had to up my game when I was working with them. 'The scenes were amazing and it was nice to be given that storyline. Especially when the Taylors had left, it was nice to be given something that was dramatic. I absolutely, still to this day, love those scenes.' EastEnders Kat in turmoil after Alfie's departure as she 'gets close' to Phil

It's set to be a dramatic week for Kat Moon in next week's EastEnders as she's left worrying about how things are with Alfie, as well as being concerned for her ex, Phil It's been a huge week for Kat and Alfie in EastEnders this week, with the return of Kat's daughter Zoe Slater. However, Kat is completely unaware that Zoe returned to London - and that her husband, Alfie, has gone to Barcelona to follow her after she fled. Next week, she's left worrying about her lack of communication, while also being left concerned about her ex, Phil. ‌ It was a close call in scenes earlier this week, as Kat suspected something suspicious was going on in Stacey's flat. She opened the bedroom door, where Zoe was, although she'd already escaped out the window. She later told Stacey she was going to Barcelona, and now Alfie's gone to hopefully bring her back home. ‌ However, he told a huge lie to his new wife Kat, telling her that he was off to Australia to visit his brother Spencer. Although she came round to the idea in the end, Kat told Alfie that their relationship would be over for good if she finds out he's lying. Spoilers for next week reveal even more turmoil for Kat and Alfie as she's left is worrying about how things are with her husband Alfie Moon. She tries to confide in Jean Slater, Jean about her hurt over Alfie being incommunicado, but Jean refuses to forgive Kat for going into business with Kathy and Harvey. However, Alfie's lack of communication isn't the only thing concerning Kat, as she's left worried about her ex-husband Phil. Phil's worried about Nigel deteriorating amid his dementia diagnosis, and some of his actions next week leave Phil struggling. ‌ During a heart to heart, Kat realises her ex-husband is exhausted and in over his head as she suggests he gets help to care for Nigel. Jean is later left questioning Kat why she's spending so much time at Phil's place, as she insists it's nothing but platonic concern. Last week, Phil was seen giving Alfie an unlikely pep talk after he and Kat called the wedding off. He told Alfie that he was the one Kat always wanted as the two made amends and tied the knot. However, the couple's third marriage to each other hasn't got off on the best foot - starting off on a huge lie. Will Kat find out that Alfie's lying about her whereabouts? If so, how will she react? Will the pair really be over for good like she said? EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
