Yesterday, the world mourned the loss of one of the single greatest songwriters we had the privilege to experience, and that was Brian Wilson, of The Beach Boys. His career, spanning 60 years, has completely changed music.
So many different facets of the music world owe so much to Wilson, with "Pet Sounds" being considered one of the greatest albums of all time. Wilson's beautiful writing style has created so many incredible songs throughout the years, and the music industry should be forever grateful for that.
Artists all over the music world have been coming out to share their feelings on the man and pay tribute. His impact is truly being felt in this moment, with several of music's greatest writers and composers bending the knee to the incredible talent that has been lost.
One of these musicians to come out and speak on Wilson's passing is legendary songwriter, Bob Dylan. He posted a brief, yet touching tribute on his X account yesterday evening.
Fans were touched by this recognition from artist to artist, leaving comments about the tribute.
"Yes, Brian gave us a truly beautiful gift with his music. May he rest peacefully now, God bless."
"The music never aged. Rest in peace."
"He gave us little slices of the twinkle in god's eye…. Hope you are loving life Bob."
It's a tremendous loss to all of music to see him gone. I know I'll certainly have his music on loop for the foreseeable future. Rest in peace, Brian.🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬

Johnny Depp says he 'never chased fame' and cannot discuss how much it 'upsets' him

Johnny Depp has "never chased" fame. The 62-year-old actor has been one of the biggest names in Hollywood for more than 40 years but has insisted that being well-known or "pleasing" others was never part of his plan, although he is aware that he cannot really talk about how "upset" it makes him and expect others to sympathise. He told The Sunday Times: "Well, fame is the last thing I ever chased. "If you look at the 9,000 years that I've been doing this s***, it's pretty clear that I wasn't ever thinking how I could be more famous, make a hit or please the press. Fame is an occupational hazard — but if I spout off about how upset I am, people will say, 'Sweetheart, take a job pulling trash bags.' Meanwhile, the Pirates of the Caribbean star grew up as one of four, and even though his parents divorced when he was a teenager, he admitted that the "dynamics changed" once his siblings got married and he found himself having to "step in and out" of family life as he became more well-known. He said: "My brother had his problems with the parents. "There were many episodes of conflict — he and my father would duke it out — and Debbie had her problems with them too. Then Danny got married. Soon Debbie got married too, so it was only me and Christi. Then Christi got married, so it was only me. And dynamics changed. It was almost as if I was used to conflict. It was not abnormal. I did my best to just step in and out. "What were my initial dealings with what we call 'love'? Clearly obtuse. And what that means is, if you're a sucker like I am, sometimes you look in a person's eye and see some sadness, some lonely thing and you feel you can help that person. 'But no good deed goes unpunished. "Because there are those who, when you try to love and help them, will start to give you an understanding of what that malaise, that perturbance was in their eyes. It manifests itself in other ways. And the interesting thing is that it is merely a sliver of my life I have chosen to explore, because it is my mother and my father. Do you know what I'm saying?"

Selena Gomez Is Back in Her Bangs Era

Welcome back to Team Bangs, Selena Gomez. After a dalliance with slightly longer lengths, a brief escapade into blonde, and some variations on the bob (the lob and the puffed variety), the pop star and Rare Beauty founder has settled on her summertime hair refresh. Her longtime makeup artist Hung Vanngo dropped the first picture on his Instagram yesterday (June 21). Her new haircut was done by another go-to Gomez glam team member, Orlando Pita. (Who also often works with Julianne Moore, Sofia Coppola, and Anne Hathaway on their refined, elegant styles.) Photo: Instagram (@hungvanngo) Of recent, Gomez had been wearing her hair in a grown out bob, hitting just below her shoulders. She often sticks to a middle parting, and has been styling it in slicked back buns and high ponytails for the last few months. This time, her new cut features wolf cut-esque choppy layers, with the shagginess from her natural curls providing lots of volume and texture to graze the top of her collarbones. The bangs fall thickly across her brows, but have been cut into to resist any density, and to keep them easy in the summer heat. It's an easily replicable cut, light and breezy for this time of year and requiring little maintenance. Selena Gomez is no stranger to the bob, which has become somewhat of a signature look for her red carpet appearances. There was a soft and waved bob worn at the American French Film Festival, a glamorous old Hollywood bob for the Golden Globes, and a more experimental wet-look, flipped bob at the 4th Academy Museum Gala last year. On other occasions, she switched it up to a more messy, piecey fringe that looks great with up-dos, face-framing Brigitte Bardot-esque bangs, and a casual curly set. A beauty mogul, Gomez is a serial re-inventor unafraid of the style switch up, whether that's a statement lip or total hair transformation. NEWS OF THE WEEK: Court rejects Ed Sheeran Thinking Out Loud copyright case

A minority owner of a Marvin Gaye song has tried tirelessly to sue Sheeran over the alleged similarities between Sheeran's hit and Let's Get It On, but the High Court has refused to accept the lawsuit. "No reasonable jury could find that the two songs, taken as a whole, are substantially similar in light of their dissimilar melodies and lyrics," the judge declared, as reported by USA Today. Back in November, the High Court found that Sheeran did not infringe on Gaye's copyright, citing that the songs share only the "fundamental musical building blocks".
