A 68-year-old who was driving a motorcycle involved in a collision Wednesday in northern Ontario has died from their injuries, police said.
The crash took place on Highway 64 in French River and also claimed the life of a 75-year-old pedestrian.
Ontario Provincial Police said Thursday that the motorcycle driver died in hospital.
Police responded to the crash at 1:45 p.m. The pedestrian died at the scene while the motorcycle driver was airlifted from the scene by an ORNGE helicopter to a regional trauma centre.
'The investigation remains ongoing,' police said.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident is asked to contact the Nipissing West OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online.
'The OPP remains committed to public safety and thanks the community for their cooperation and patience during the closure,' police said.
