Dodge Challenger Fleeing Trooper Wrecks Out At 160 MPH

Running from police is a dumb and selfish thing to do, but this Dodge Challenger driver learned that lesson the hard way. Dashcam footage obtained from Arkansas State Police shows the Mopar muscle car flee from a traffic stop, only to wreck out at 160 mph, ejecting the driver.We're not entirely sure what the initial stop was for, but we're going to guess it was speeding. In the footage, you can see the trooper is sitting blacked out on the side of the highway before he flips on his lights, then pulls over the Challenger.
As you already know, the guy did the dumb little trick of waiting until the trooper was walking up to his vehicle before he sped off, tires squealing. The guy must've thought with the higher-powered muscle car, there was no way the trooper could catch him.
For the first while in the footage that seems correct. The suspect driver gets off the main highway and turns on a dark, rough rural road, speeding along like a demon. At one point, the pursuing trooper catches air, which seems to scare him.
But he presses on, seeing the Dodge's taillights in the distance. Not that we're fans of when criminals black out while running from police, but this would've been a great time for that trick. Of course, the guy might not have been able to see where he was going.
The chase continues on a much nicer two-lane road. That smoother surface must've given the suspect more confidence, because he pushes the Mopar to 160 mph. Even on a well-lit, multi-lane interstate with no traffic around that's a dangerous proposition.
After all, at that speed if you make one wrong move, you're done for. The guy does and his muscle car leaves the roadway behind, exploding into thousands of pieces. He must've not been wearing a seatbelt, because the trooper couldn't find the driver for a while.
As backup arrives, troopers figure the driver took off on foot. But they later find him, deceased. We guess the guy really didn't want to go back to prison and he made sure he didn't.

If neighbors notice any suspicious or unfamiliar activity in their area, they are encouraged to call 911 immediately so an officer can investigate. The St. Joseph Police Department also offers a free residential and business watch service, which allows officers to periodically check on your property while you're away. "The officers working on the street, day or night, are made aware of those addresses and provide extra patrol during their shifts, Peters said. Residents can fill out the watch request form by visiting and navigating to 'Forms and Requests'.

AI image does not show French spy caught in Burkina Faso
'French spy has been captured by captain Ibrahim Traoré, president of Burkina Faso,' reads the caption accompanying a TikTok video posted on May 2, 2025. The post was shared more than 2,400 times. The video includes a static image that appears to show Burkina Faso's president standing next to a man wearing an army uniform, who has blood on his face and is holding his hands in the air. Several TikTok users have claimed that the man in the image is a French spy who was caught posing as a journalist by the name of Julien Moreau (seen here and here). This comes several months after four French nationals who had been held in Burkina Faso over espionage accusations were freed following more than a year of detention (archived here). The group was arrested in the capital, Ouagadougou, on December 1, 2023, and presented by the authorities as intelligence agents working for France's Directorate-General for External Security (archived here). They were released in December 2024, with French authorities thanking Morocco for mediation in the case. However, the claim that this image shows a captured French spy is false. A close look at the picture reveals several flaws commonly found in AI-generated images. For example, the writing on the man's army uniform is gibberish; it's not inscribed in French or any real language. Additionally, Traore's hands appear deformed. A reverse image search of the image led to the earliest occurrence of the claim we could find online: a YouTube video posted on May 1, 2025, seen here. In the caption, after a lengthy tale about a French man posing as a journalist who is then publicly confronted by Traore for being a spy, there is a disclaimer. 'This video is a work of fiction inspired by the life of Ibrahim Traoré,' the caption reads. 'The situations and dialogues depicted are entirely fictional.' Subsequent posts circulating on YouTube and TikTok do not contain any such disclaimers, leading users to believe the image and story is real. AFP Fact Check did not find any credible reports by international media on any French journalist being accused of espionage in Burkina Faso in May 2025. Several AI detection tools also considered the image to be AI-generated. Posts shared on social media with a similar claim that a French woman was caught spying in Burkina Faso were previously debunked by Euronews (archived here).

Fort Collins police arrest '420 Minister' accused of providing minors with marijuana
Fort Collins police have arrested a man who has dubbed himself the 420 Minister and is accused of providing marijuana to a minor. Garret Van Mullins, 34, was arrested June 19 and is being investigated for underage marijuana sales in Fort Collins and surrounding Front Range communities, according to a news release from Fort Collins Police Services. The Loveland SWAT team assisted in the arrest, according to the news release. Mullins is a marijuana legalization advocate and has a social media presence where he is known as '420 Minister' and 'I Am Foundation Church.' Mullins often posts religious videos to Facebook called "Blaze n Praise" in which he appears to smoke marijuana and shares a message. He often ends social media posts by saying, "Remember God made pot and loves you a lot." In an interview posted to YouTube in 2019, Mullins said he's a minister and smokes cannabis for his spiritual beliefs. He also recounted going to prison for marijuana possession in Texas. He also pleaded guilty to money laundering in Texas in 2016, the Wichita Falls Time Record News reported.
