GTA 6 fans roast gameplay trailer for new game

Yahoo30-04-2025

Grand Theft Auto VI may still be a few months away from its apparent release but in the meantime, this brand-new title - which has been compared to the hit Rockstar series - is keeping fans entertained.
Though perhaps for all the wrong reasons.
Check out the story trailer for below!
With its many comparisons to Grand Theft Auto VI, MindsEye is an upcoming narrative-driven, single-player action-adventure thriller by developer Build a Rocket Boy.
Set to be released on 10 June, 2025, MindsEye is set in the near-future in the fictional desert town of Redrock and much like Grand Theft Auto, it will feature 'best-in-class cinematics, high octane driving, and explosive combat'.
Since it was first revealed at Gamescom 2022 by ex-Rockstar dev Leslie Benzies, MindsEye has been compared to Grand Theft Auto and by looking at one of its many trailers, it is not hard to understand why.
With explosive car chases, high-octane shooting and a narrative adventure which hopes to keep players enthralled, this upcoming title will be the perfect thing to keep us busy until GTA VI launches later in the year.
However, earlier this week saw Build a Rocket Boy release our first look at the gameplay that can be found in MindsEye ahead of its full trailer coming soon and it is safe to say that viewers are less than impressed.
The 30-second clip that was posted on the Everywhere NET Twitter account soon garnered some attention but perhaps not the attention devs had planned on.
'This lowkey looks like a fake game that Jimmy would be playing in his room in GTA 5,' user Synth Potato commented.
User GameRoll shared the sentiment, adding, 'They really said no recoil ... Mafia 3 gameplay but somehow worse, I don't like this lol.'
However, user Only Official was feeling slightly more optimistic.
'A little rough around the edges but .. not bad,' they wrote. "Need to see something more exciting though.'
However, with just two months to go until MindsEye launches, it seems as though it will have to prove itself a bit more if it wants a successful release day.

The end of 28 Years Later, explained

Crowds are hitting theaters this weekend to once again enter the terrifying world of the rage virus we first met in 2002 with 28 Days Later. Director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland have reunited to take over the third entry in the series -- they were involved in 28 Weeks Later as executive producers only -- and brought their distinct style back to the screen. WARNING: Spoilers for 28 Years Later ahead! In 28 Years Later, we meet the inhabitants of Holy Island, a small stronghold off the coast of mainland England that has created a little safe haven from the rage virus. A causeway separates the island from the quarantined area, passable by foot only when the tide is low. Jaime (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) takes his son, Spike (Alfie Williams) onto the mainland to fulfill some sort of rite-of-passage zombie hunting for the young 12-year-old. They, of course, run into some trouble -- to include the seemingly much-evolved "alpha" zombies that are stronger, smarter and faster -- but make it back home (after one of the most intense, heart-pounding scenes in the movie). During the post-hunt celebrations, Spike catches his dad cheating on his mom, sending the boy spiraling. The mother, played wonderfully by Jodie Comer, has been suffering migraines and bouts of memory loss episodes. Spike then hatches a plan to sneak his mother out to find the rumored Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) and see if he can't help heal her. Along their travels, there are many close calls and a couple new friends. They eventually meet Dr. Kelson, who has dedicated his post-apocalyptic life to trying to memorialize those that have lost their lives. It's a truly remarkable look into life and humanity and grief. Spike eventually lands on a decision to remain on the mainland to try and find himself, but the movie closed with a perplexing sequence that, honestly, ran counter to the vibes and tone of the rest of the story. In the very beginning of the movie, we see a group of children watching Teletubbies as the rage virus starts to spread. One of the boys, Jimmy Crystal, escapes to find his father in the church. Before his dad sacrifices himself to the zombies (he thinks they're sent from the divine), he gives Jimmy his cross and tells him to hide. We don't see Jimmy for the next hour and 45 minutes or so, but he's hinted at through ominous carvings of his name both in an infected and on a wall that Spike passes. It looks like the movie is wrapping up, but a group of infected starts to overwhelm Spike. Suddenly, Jimmy (Jack O'Connell) appears on a ledge with blond hair and a track suit offering to help. His army of track-suited fighters defeat the infected in a wildly tonally different scene from the rest of the movie. The costuming of Jimmy and his henchmen seems to reference the disgraced Jimmy Savile, a once-popular television host in the UK. After Savile's death in 2011, horrifying stories of his abusive and predatory behavior emerged, including the sexual abuse of minors. If you consider the world ended for young Jimmy Crystal in 2002, the vile offenses of his idol Jimmy Savile would have never been revealed. The use of this specific imagery -- the blond wigs and track suits like Savile used to wear -- was intentional by Boyle and Garland. We don't get a lot of information about Jimmy Crystal in this world, it's clear he's not a good guy and someone that should be feared. The idea that even in a world where Savile isn't known for his evil that someone still emerges as evil in his absence is so startlingly dark. A follow up film, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, is already in post-production. The movie is directed by Nia DaCosta and set to release January 16, 2026. It is supposed to bring back O'Connell, Williams and Fiennes as the story continues.

Backpacking Maine Coon Uses Enormous Wooly Mammoth Paws to Warn Bro of Smackdown

Backpacking Maine Coon Uses Enormous Wooly Mammoth Paws to Warn Bro of Smackdown originally appeared on Parade Pets. Siblings will always find a way to irritate each other, especially when Mom and Dad have their backs turned. The old "I'm not touching you" while waving a digit in the other's face is classic and a regular go-to when forced to spend "quality" time together. Maine Coon bros Jimmy and Beaks ride the fine line between playing and fighting when joining the parents on a backpacking adventure, but only because neither wants to get caught, scolded, and the reason all the fun ended in the first place. But Beaks found a loophole, proving sibling rivalry never dies. This video is the epitome of "tell me you have a sibling without telling me," and the pair crushed it. The way Beaks uses that paw, the size of a human foot, is enough to threaten Jimmy within an inch of his life — except he, too, has humongous, wooly mammoth bear claw paws that he could use to fight back if he wanted! Play fighting is the game of choice for the Maine Coon brothers. It doesn't matter where they are or what's going on; if the mood strikes, the claws are coming out and floof will be shed! The boys do get along every now and then, and outside of usual sibling antics, they're really well-behaved kitties. Hiking, backpacking, hanging with the fam — whatever it is, they're fully in. I've never seen a more worldly duo. Even when dressed to the nines in the finest, freshest new styles, Beaks and Jimmy can't help but start some beef. It's a rite of passage to have these sorts of interactions with your brother, so they don't skip a single chance to do it — while wearing the cutest little sweater and puffy coat! Affectionately called the "skibbidi bap," these two have perfected the art of war, at least when the war is just being in the same vicinity! If you'll notice, there's even a rage-filled look of brotherly annoyance right before Jimmy's smackdown. It's such a mood. Future smackdowns are inevitable and it's a sign the two love each other. When it comes to siblings, love isn't so much a verb that has to be shown in sweet ways. In fact, sometimes the more arguing, fighting, skibbidi bapping there is, the more each feels that love! 🐶🐾🐾 Backpacking Maine Coon Uses Enormous Wooly Mammoth Paws to Warn Bro of Smackdown first appeared on Parade Pets on Jun 19, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade Pets on Jun 19, 2025, where it first appeared.

'GTA VI' delay weighs on global videogame market growth, data shows

By Zaheer Kachwala (Reuters) -The global videogame market's growth rate is expected to improve marginally in 2025 from the previous year, according to a report from research firm Newzoo, seen exclusively by Reuters on Tuesday. Analysts and industry experts had projected a surge in industry growth this year due to the expected blockbuster launch of Take-Two's "Grand Theft Auto VI" and new consoles. However, the delay of the long-awaited title to next year and price hikes to videogame hardware, arising from tariffs, have made consumer spending uncertain. The global videogame market is projected to grow 3.4% to $188.9 billion in 2025, compared with last year's growth of 3.2%, according to the report. "This forecast reflects concrete changes, hardware cycles, pricing trends, install base growth, and title pipelines," said Michiel Buijsman, principle analyst at Newzoo. Compounded annually, Newzoo expects the market to grow 3.3% till 2027, compared with its earlier forecast of 3.7%. As "GTA VI" is scheduled to launch in 2026, the industry will most likely see the boost from sales next year along with the release of other premium titles such as Capcom's "Resident Evil Requiem." The launch of "GTA VI" on PC is also expected to carry growth through 2027, the report said. Price increases to Microsoft's Xbox and Sony's PlayStation devices have sparked fears of slower hardware sales as consumers globally grapple with market uncertainty, even as Nintendo's Switch 2 became the company's fastest-selling console. Xbox also unveiled its own handheld console, the Xbox Ally, earlier this month, developed in partnership with ASUS and set to launch in holidays 2025.
