The third-person shooter game was released on June 10, but TheGamer reported that Sony has already started handing out refunds. In the past, Sony has been reluctant to offer refunds unless a game is almost entirely unplayable. Gamers have reported recurring crashes and a sub-30 frames-per-second running rate. Developers of the game Build a Rocket Boy issued an apology after users complained about the issues they were facing. They also promised a "hotfix" to address the immediate performance problems. Build a Rocket Boy said in their statement: "A heartfelt thank you to all our day-one players. We know the launch of Mindseye hasn't been without its challenges for some of you. "Right now, our top priority is game performance. We understand that the requirements are high and have limited the experience for many of you, and for this, we sincerely apologise. "Improving performance across all devices is our immediate focus. A patch that begins our commitment to address this is scheduled for the end of this week on PC, which will also roll out to consoles as soon as possible." Even before the game's release it was already the subject of controversy, with Push Square giving it a 3 out of 10 review. The game is described on Stream as "a narrative driven, single-player action-adventure thriller set in the near-future fictional desert city of Redrock. "Featuring best-in class cinematics, high octane driving, and explosive combat from game director Leslie Benzies." Reviews so far have been mostly negative, with nearly 1500 reviews averaging out at 2.5 stars. One recent 2/10 review reads: "Mindseye isn't disappointing - disappointment implies expectations. This is a $60 crash course in how to wrap a hollow experience in cinematic lighting and misleading trailers." Another customer who had their purchase refunded wrote: "Absolutely horrible game." Even without the technical problems, gamers criticised it as a "boring" cash grab with "stupid" side missions. They did, however, praise the game for its immersive cutscenes, although for many this wasn't enough to redeem it. Others were more positive, with one writing: "I recommend it once all the bugs are fixed." Another wrote: "I really believe this game could turn around. The potential is there." Promotional Twitch content was postponed after the developer became aware of some of the bugs - with popular streamer CohhCarnage having his stream cancelled just as he was about to begin promoting the game. Others content creators that had been paid to promote the game clearly showed its many issues - with streamers trying to talk through the game while it crashed.

How to refund MindsEye from PlayStation?
There have been huge anticipations regarding MindsEye, developed by studio Build a Rocket Boy and published by IO Interactive. We have heard the latter several times, thanks a the bald assassin, but it was the first project for the former. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now As the game was directed by founder of Rockstar North and former producer of GTA, Leslie Benzies, fans were ready to witness a masterpiece, just like the Grand Theft Auto series. But instead of following the path of GTA, MindsEye seems to be following the trails of Cyberpunk 2077. PlayStation is refunding the MindsEye fans MindsEye was released on June 10, 2025, with . But it seems, the tables have turned over its head out of nowhere. Since the launch of this narrative-driven single-player third-person shooter, there have been only complaints for the fans. Many players stated that despite being released in 2025, this game is using outdated gameplay mechanics of the early-2010s shooters. On the other hand, glitches and bugs became constant to the game. Yes, as a newly launched game, these issues are quite normal. But the infestation had become so bad that some people didn't even manage to try out the game. For example, NPCs are randomly floating in the game or cars are exploding out of nowhere, ragdoll distortions, and many more. The game is so poorly optimized that even a powerful console like PS5 is unable to provide constant 30 FPS (which is also capped at that limit.) Amidst this turmoil, Build a Rocket Boy has acknowledged the situation with MindsEye and says it is 'heartbroken' regarding everything happening around. The company has also promised the fans to be patient as it is planning to release the game's first update between June 13 to June 15 on both PCs and consoles, which is the potential fix for all these persisting issues. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now However, fans don't seem to be pretty patient in this scenario as many of them have already started demanding refunds for their piece. Just like in the case of Cyberpunk 2077, many of those fans have already started getting refunds as well. You can get yours as well. All you need to do is to go to the PlayStation Support and ask about the refund for your MindsEye copy. After verifying some details, PlayStation will refund you back. Read More:

GTA 6 fans roast gameplay trailer for new game
Grand Theft Auto VI may still be a few months away from its apparent release but in the meantime, this brand-new title - which has been compared to the hit Rockstar series - is keeping fans entertained. Though perhaps for all the wrong reasons. Check out the story trailer for below! With its many comparisons to Grand Theft Auto VI, MindsEye is an upcoming narrative-driven, single-player action-adventure thriller by developer Build a Rocket Boy. Set to be released on 10 June, 2025, MindsEye is set in the near-future in the fictional desert town of Redrock and much like Grand Theft Auto, it will feature 'best-in-class cinematics, high octane driving, and explosive combat'. Since it was first revealed at Gamescom 2022 by ex-Rockstar dev Leslie Benzies, MindsEye has been compared to Grand Theft Auto and by looking at one of its many trailers, it is not hard to understand why. With explosive car chases, high-octane shooting and a narrative adventure which hopes to keep players enthralled, this upcoming title will be the perfect thing to keep us busy until GTA VI launches later in the year. However, earlier this week saw Build a Rocket Boy release our first look at the gameplay that can be found in MindsEye ahead of its full trailer coming soon and it is safe to say that viewers are less than impressed. The 30-second clip that was posted on the Everywhere NET Twitter account soon garnered some attention but perhaps not the attention devs had planned on. 'This lowkey looks like a fake game that Jimmy would be playing in his room in GTA 5,' user Synth Potato commented. User GameRoll shared the sentiment, adding, 'They really said no recoil ... Mafia 3 gameplay but somehow worse, I don't like this lol.' However, user Only Official was feeling slightly more optimistic. 'A little rough around the edges but .. not bad,' they wrote. "Need to see something more exciting though.' However, with just two months to go until MindsEye launches, it seems as though it will have to prove itself a bit more if it wants a successful release day.
