'I'm playing golf in a wedding dress for charity'
A man will wear a wedding dress for part of a 24-hour charity golf challenge.
Ollie Spry is taking part in a golf session to raise money for Cancer Research UK Jersey.
While the wedding dress is just one of the "ridiculous outfits" Mr Spry plans to wear, it will not be the only unconventional thing he does on the course at La Moye Golf Club.
He also plans to hit the ball with a variety of unusual objects, including a croquet mallet and a frying pan. He said: "I just thought it was a bit of a laugh and to raise as much awareness as possible."

"I've watched cancer change the lives of people I love. Their pain, their bravery, it's pushed me to do something big.
"That's why I'm taking on this golf challenge. Dawn till Dusk. All for a future without cancer."
People visiting St Helier this week might have seen Mr Spry in his wedding dress near Charring Cross ahead of the event, which takes place on Friday.
Mr Spry said: "Obviously its quite a showstopper for people walking by in the middle of the High Street."
He said the outfit had helped raise awareness for the charity, with people stopping to ask: "You look ridiculous why are you wearing that?"
Mr Spry, who has been training by going on some "long walks", has raised more than £2,000 so far and hopes to reach £5,000.
"There are so many amazing charities here in Jersey," he said.
"The community here in Jersey is incredible - everyone comes together, everyone tries to support as many charities as possible.
"I'm just proud to try and raise as much awareness as possible."

Paige Spiranac Confirms Theory About Her Golf Game: 'Science is Right'
Paige Spiranac Confirms Theory About Her Golf Game: 'Science is Right' originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Golf influencer Paige Spiranac is once again proving that her signature golf style isn't just for show. Advertisement On Sunday, the social media star and former pro golfer posted a lighthearted message on X, reflecting on a not-so-great day on the course and how her outfit may have played a role. 'If you've been following me for awhile you know I have this working theory that I play better when I wear less clothes,' Spiranac wrote. 'Can confirm that science is right once again. I played like 💩 today.' The post included a photo of Spiranac in a sporty but more covered look than her usual on-course outfits. She wore a light gray, short-sleeved button-up shirt with thin stripes, paired with black shorts and white sneakers with yellow accents. Her outfit was completed with a blue visor, dark sunglasses and her blonde hair tied back, perfect for the summer heat but not, in her view, for her swing. Advertisement The 32-year-old golf personality is known for posting about golf, fashion and sports commentary. She often shares videos of her playing golf, giving tips and reviewing golf equipment. In a separate post few days ago, Spiranac cleared up a rumor after a video of a woman falling from a golf cart went viral. Many thought it was her, but she responded by saying, 'This is not me. We all know I wouldn't be wearing a polo.' Spiranac also helps promote the Grass League, a growing Par 3 golf league, where she takes part in media coverage and content creation. On Instagram, she recently shared selfies from the course wearing another golf outfit that included a white tank top and a blue pleated skirt. Advertisement Spiranac has over four million followers across Instagram and X. She often uses her platforms to mix golf content with personal updates and opinions about the sport. Though Spiranac admitted to a bad round, her outfit and comment drew attention and reactions from her fans once again. Heartbreak for Fleetwood as Bradley denies him first PGA title
Travelers Championship final round -15 K Bradley (US); -14 T Fleetwood (Eng), R Henley (US); -13 H English (US), J Day (Aus) Selected others: -12 R McIlroy (NI), S Scheffler (US); -6 A Rai (Eng), M Fitzpatrick (Eng), R MacIntyre (Sco); E S Lowry (Ire) Advertisement Full leaderboard England's Tommy Fleetwood was denied his first PGA Tour title in heartbreaking fashion as American Keegan Bradley claimed the Travelers Championship by a single shot. After 41 top-10 finishes, Fleetwood finally looked to be on course to claim his maiden PGA Tour title as he held a two-shot lead with three holes to play and a one-shot advantage going into the final hole. After a decent tee shot on the 18th, a poor putt on his third shot left the 34-year-old needing to hole from six-feet to make par. But Fleetwood narrowly missed, leaving him to bogey and hope that Bradley, who had reached the green in two, would miss his birdie putt. Advertisement The 2011 US PGA Championship winner - who will captain the USA at the Ryder Cup in September - made no mistake, slotting home to deny Fleetwood even a play-off. "I'm gutted right now," said Fleetwood. "I've not been in that situation for a long time. It's probably the worst way to finish. "Leading by two with three to play. Leading by one going into the last and you don't even make it to a play-off. It's the worst way it could go." From the brink of glory to despair Despite his three-shot overnight lead, the scars of past near-misses meant the pressure was still firmly on Fleetwood. Advertisement Three bogeys and a birdie in his opening four holes raised fears that he could once again be set for a near miss. Fleetwood steadied from there, keeping par until a pair of birdies on the 11th and 13th holes restored a two-shot lead. Bradley had looked out of contention when he fell a shot back by bogeying the par-four 14th. But a sensational 35-foot birdie on the 15th put the 39-year-old firmly back in the running. It was Bradley's approach on the 18th that turned the tide, with the American laying up five feet from the hole to pile the pressure on Fleetwood. Fleetwood's missed par putt gave Bradley a perfect read of what he needed to do to seal the win. Advertisement He stayed composed, closing with a two-under 68 to finish up on 15 under for the week, with Fleetwood a shot back - tied for second with Russell Henley, who chipped in on the last. 'Another near miss for Fleetwood' - Analysis This is a heartbreaking defeat for Fleetwood, who must have thought he was about to land his first PGA Tour title while preparing his approach to the final green. But his earlier bogey at the 16th meant that the closing stretch was laden with pressure after those birdies at 11 and 13 had strengthened his position at the top of the leaderboard. Fleetwood has been top four in two of his past five tournaments and dominated for much of the Travelers event. Advertisement But the passionate, partisan atmosphere inspired local star Bradley to come up with a brilliant birdie while the Englishman slumped to a tame bogey that flipped the tournament on its head. Fleetwood has finished second twice in majors and last year was an Olympic silver medallist. This runner-up finish will hurt just as much as those near misses. Bradley's win, meanwhile, calls into question whether he would be better playing for America in this September's Ryder Cup rather than captaining the US side.
