Pep Guardiola is a huge admirer of the versatile full-back and had been linked with an attempted £30m swoop.
But the City boss looks set to be left disappointed as Livramento prepares to try and break more Spanish hearts tomorrow in Slovakia with England U21s at the Euros.
Asked directly if he will still be a Newcastle player come August, he revealed: 'The manager, I'm in constant contact with him.
'He has just said to keep focusing on what you're doing now and you're doing so well.

'So having that relationship with someone that is obviously such a big figure in what I've done so far, I think is an amazing thing for me.
'I'm very much focused on what I'm doing here now. I don't know anything about that [speculation].
'Being away with the U21s is my main priority. I like to stay in the moment and just focus on what I can do to help the team now.'
One man Livramento knows will be key to Toon's success next season is their 27-goal Swedish superstar Alexander Isak - another player being continually linked with a move to Liverpool.

The defender said: 'Alex is an unbelievable player. We definitely saw that a lot this season.
'Training against him is obviously a privilege, being at a club like Newcastle and seeing the quality that we have as a team. Being involved in that is only going to make me a better player.
Tino Livramento branded young Gareth Bale by Theo Walcott after shining since £5m transfer from Chelsea
'You see the level that he brings on a Sunday or Saturday as fans, but I see that sort of every single day as a player. It's a real privilege to be in around players like him.'
Livramento's displays for Newcastle earned him a first senior England cap in November.
He went on to play a huge role at Wembley as the Magpies beat Liverpool to end a 70-year major drought in the Carabao Cup final before they went on to clinch Champions League qualification.
Given those big moments at senior level, discussing how much a shootout with Spain for a place in the U21 Euros ranks with them, he said: 'It's massive. I've played in a lot of big games already in my career so I just see it as another challenge, another privilege to be in a situation where the stakes are high and the pressure is on.
'I just see every game as a different challenge and tomorrow's no different. I think when it's a high pressure game, you know, you just stick to what you're good at and then just let the situation take care of itself. We've got a great squad.'

Lee Carsley insists England aren't 'underdogs' against Spain

Meanwhile, England manager Lee Carsley, who guided the Young Lions to victory over Spain in the 2023 final, has every confidence that his current crop can produce a repeat in Trnava - even if the bookies don't.
On Spain being made the favourites, he said: 'I don't feel like an underdog.
'There's a massive expectancy, against Spain, that we can perform and that's all we need to do. 'If we can perform, play to our ability, then we've got a great chance of winning the game.
'Spain are a top team and anyone that was with us in the last Euros, you have to beat all of the top teams and they are a team that I've got a lot of respect for.
'There's definitely a lot more to come from us if we're going to progress.'

Saturday's briefing: Wirtz completes Liverpool move and Jackson dismissed in CWC

Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson loses his head in Club World Cup defeat, while Gareth Bale is looking at getting back into football. Liverpool's record signing Florian Wirtz insists he has not moved to Anfield to 'have fun' but believes it is the right place for him to improve and be successful. The Premier League champions have paid Bayer Leverkusen £100million for the 22-year-old Germany international but that fee could potentially become a British record as there are £16m of add-ons included. If achieved that would surpass the existing mark of £115m which Chelsea paid for Moises Caicedo in 2023 and it is understood Liverpool will be happy to pay these 'aspirational bonuses' as it will mean they have enjoyed considerable success at elite level. 'I'm not coming (to) have fun here, I want also to achieve something and give the fans what they deserve,' Wirtz told the club's website. 'I would like to win everything every year. I'm really ambitious.' Nicolas Jackson was sent off as Chelsea crashed to a 3-1 loss to Flamengo at the Club World Cup. Pedro Neto fired the Blues ahead early on but Enzo Maresca's side imploded in the second half in Philadelphia. The Blues conceded twice and saw Jackson dismissed for a horror tackle in the space of just six minutes after the break. Their woes were compounded when Wallace Yan wrapped up the scoring late on, adding to earlier goals from fellow substitute Bruno Henrique and veteran Danilo. The result – played out in temperatures of 27C in front of a crowd of 54,019 at Lincoln Financial Field – left Chelsea with a win and a loss from their two outings in Group D having earlier looked set to take a giant stride towards the last 16. Gareth Bale is part of a United States investment group wanting to buy League One club Cardiff, according to reports. The 35-year-old former Real Madrid and Wales forward was understood to be part of a consortium that had conversations regarding a takeover of Plymouth earlier this week, along with several other clubs, but it appears they have now turned their attention to south Wales. The Athletic reports that the consortium sent current Bluebirds owner Vincent Tan a letter of intent last month, which included financial figures, but it was rejected. Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah leads a six-player shortlist for the Professional Footballers' Association Men's Player of the Year award. The Egyptian was instrumental in the Reds' Premier League title success last season, scoring 29 goals and adding 18 assists. Earlier this year he was voted footballer of the year by the Football Writers' Association, and will now be favourite to win the vote of his peers. He is joined on the shortlist by team-mate Alexis Mac Allister, Arsenal's Declan Rice, Cole Palmer of Chelsea, Newcastle striker Alexander Isak and Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes. Jobe Bellingham gets another chance to impress for new club Borussia Dortmund at the Club World Cup with a game against Mamelodi Sundowns. Inter Milan face Urawa Reds while Fluminense take on Ulsan. England's Under-21s have a European Championship semi-final against Spain.

Nicolas Jackson says he is ‘so angry at myself' after red card in Flamengo loss

The Senegal striker was shown a straight red card – just four minutes after coming off the bench – for an aggressive studs-up challenge on Ayrton Lucas in Friday's 3-1 defeat in Philadelphia. It came amid a calamitous six-minute spell in the second period in which the Blues also conceded two goals to surrender their half-time lead. It was also Jackson's second dismissal in just four appearances having also been given his marching orders for a forearm crack on Newcastle's Sven Botman in a Premier League match last month. 'I want to say sorry,' Jackson wrote on Instagram on what was a 24th birthday to forget. 'To the club, the staff, my teammates, and all the fans watching, I let you down. 'Another red card… And honestly, I'm so angry at myself. I work hard every day to help the team not to put us in this kind of situation. 'I still don't fully understand how it happened. But one thing is clear: it wasn't intentional. Just a moment in football that went the wrong way. 'No excuses. I take full responsibility. I'll reflect, I'll grow, and I'll come back stronger for the badge and for everyone who believes in me. 'Sorry. Sorry, Sorry.' 🔴⚫️ A comeback win for @Flamengo!#FIFACWC — FIFA Club World Cup (@FIFACWC) June 21, 2025 Jackson's moment of madness, in which he forcefully caught Lucas on the shin, effectively ended Chelsea's hopes of getting back into the Group D contest at Lincoln Financial Field. Enzo Maresca's side were already reeling after Pedro Neto's well-taken 14th-minute opener was cancelled out by Bruno Henrique after 62 minutes and quickly followed by another goal for veteran Danilo. Wallace Yan wrapped up the scoring seven minutes from time, putting Flamengo in charge of the group and potentially making Chelsea's route through the tournament complicated. Defender Marc Cucurella suggested discipline was an area Jackson needed to work on. The defender told DAZN: 'He is young player, he has a lot of quality, he maybe needs to improve this a little bit. We are here to improve, we are not perfect so it is part of the game.' Maresca did not deny the sending-off was damaging, though he tempered criticism by claiming it was not a clear-cut decision. Maresca said: 'Those six minutes completely changed the dynamic of the game. 'I'm not 100 per cent sure that it's a red card compared to the Newcastle one, but it can be and the referee decided it. 'It's a little bit of a bad moment for Nico in these things. He knows very well that both situations were not something good for the team.' Former Chelsea defender Filipe Luis, now the manager of Flamengo, backed Jackson to bounce back. 'It was a little mistake,' he said. 'It was a clear red for me but it is a small detail for a player who can be one of the biggest strikers in the world.' Chelsea, who now have three points from their opening two games, face ES Tunis in their final group game on Tuesday night (2am Wednesday BST).

'Jordan Henderson caused trouble and my relationship with Jurgen Klopp changed'

Jordan Henderson was a leader, motivator and an engine for Liverpool, but one person who frequently visited Anfield labelled the England international as something else In the eyes of many Liverpool fans, Jordan Henderson was an Anfield leader and legend. However, iconic German referee Dr Felix Brych described the England midfielder as a "troublemaker". Henderson, 34, was often the loudest player on the pitch throughout his time at Liverpool. While his voice was mainly used for barking out instructions and encouragement to his team-mates, he also reserved plenty of noise for the officials. ‌ Brych understands this better than most, having officiated Henderson in Liverpool's European matches. The referee, who hung up the whistle for good at the end of the Bundesliga campaign, offered an insight into what it was like to referee Liverpool when Henderson was wearing the armband. ‌ Speaking to talkSPORT, Brych said: "I got along with all the players very well. But in every game there was always my troublemaker. "Looking back on many games at Anfield with Liverpool, when I saw Jordan Henderson, I knew I had to keep an eye on him. He was talking all throughout the game. "Also, James Milner. Sometimes he was quiet, sometimes he was talking a lot and like you do, you talk in a different way. In Germany, talking is much more aggressive. In England you talk in a different way, I knew that before the game." When quizzed on what the now Ajax midfielder used to say to him, the ex-referee added: "'Come on, it's not a foul. You can do it in Germany, but in England we want to let the game flow.' It was always this kind of trash talk, but I liked it and I got used to it. It was fun and games." Brych also remembered his first interaction with Klopp in the early 2000s. While their exchange was pleasant at the time, he had to park any niceties he had with his compatriot so opposing sides didn't think there was any favouritism going on. ‌ He added: "I met Jurgen Klopp in Germany 20 years ago, but in England it was a different relationship with him. If you know someone better than the others, they think you might favour them. I cannot give any kind of bonus to anybody." Brych walked away from refereeing at the end of the German football season after taking charge of 359 Bundesliga matches. As well as his domestic tally, which is a Bundesliga record, Brych also officiated 69 matches in the Champions League. Meanwhile, Klopp departed Liverpool at the end of last season after eight years in charge of the Reds. He has since gone on to become the head of global soccer at the Red Bull football franchise, where he has been advising on playing philosophy, scouting and other aspects of the set-up.
