Wisconsin football top 2026 wide receiver target commits to a familiar blue-blood
Wisconsin top class of 2026 wide receiver target Bubba Frazier committed to Notre Dame on Monday afternoon.
The 5-foot-10, 175-pound slot wide receiver chose the Irish over top contenders Wisconsin, North Carolina and Georgia. His offer sheet also includes Auburn, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Arkansas and Virginia Tech. Frazier had scheduled an official visit to Madison for June 6, but his commitment to Notre Dame likely changes those plans.
247Sports currently lists the Savannah, Georgia, native as a four-star recruit, ranked specifically as the No. 373 player in the class of 2026, the No. 58 wide receiver and the No. 46 player from his home state. Rivals also consider Frazier a four-star recruit.
During his junior season at Benedictine Military School, Frazier caught 46 passes for 753 receiving yards and five touchdowns. He also rushed 85 times for 604 yards and eight touchdowns, bringing his all-purpose total to 1,357 and 13 touchdowns on 131 touches.
Here's more from 247Sports national scouting analyst Gabe Brooks on Frazier as a prospect:
"Exciting offensive weapon who fits a slot role in the long term, but could also move around for backfield touches in varying personnel packages...Couples explosive linear acceleration with above-average speed-changing nuance. Capable of taking the top off the deep third, but also a fierce run-after-catch threat in the screen/jet/fly game... Frame-limited, but fits the mold of a big-play offensive athlete who naturally suits the slot. Projects to the P4 level as a potential multi-year impact player who could particularly excel in the right system."
With the receiver's decision, Wisconsin's class of 2026 ranks No. 39 nationally and No. 10 in the Big Ten. Wisconsin landed three-star class of 2026 quarterback Ryan Hopkins on Sunday, boosting the group from No. 44 to No. 39.
UW's class is up to five players - Hopkins, three-star WR Tayshon Bardo, three-star DL Carmelow Reed, three-star CB Carsen Eloms and three-star iOL Benjamin Novak. Frazier's commitment would have been Wisconsin's fourth on the offensive side of the football, plus second in the wide receiver room.
The Badgers are still in search of their third straight top-25 finish in the national recruiting rankings after productive 2024 and 2025 outputs. As of April 14, Wisconsin has yet to land a blue-chip recruit, which Frazier qualifies as. That number will need to rise significantly as the summer months near.
While Frazier's decision comes as somewhat of a disappointment, Wisconsin will be busy on the recruiting trail over the next four months. The Badgers need a solid 2026 output to stabilize momentum after a busy offseason of personnel and coaching changes.

Coveted Playmaker Delivers Unclear Message on Georgia Ahead of SEC Visit
Coveted Playmaker Delivers Unclear Message on Georgia Ahead of SEC Visit originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Georgia Bulldogs appear to be the favorite for one in-state highly touted receiver. But the recruitment is far from finished even with his commitment day less than a week away. Advertisement Four-star wide receiver Craig Dandridge indicated in a conversation with On3's Jeremy Johnson this week that he is truly undecided and keeping an open mind with every official visit. Dandridge will visit the Oklahoma Sooners this weekend. The receiver stressed he has liked the recruiting process. 'I mean, a lot of people wanna say like, they're like really pressured with all the thoughts, but, I'm just enjoying it all, man,' Dandridge said. 'I really took the time to like, just think like, I'm blessed to be in this situation at all. Being able to pick from these top schools, I can't go wrong.' Georgia Bulldogs football head coach Kirby Smart© Stephen Lew-Imagn Images While that's a great attitude to have, it's not necessary what the Bulldogs want to hear. Advertisement That's especially true of Dandridge's conclusion that he "can't go wrong" with his recruitment decision. The Bulldogs would prefer the Milton (Ga) Cambridge wideout feel that any choice but Georgia is the wrong one. Dandridge has a few more days to decide. The receiver will announce his commitment decision on June 26. Oklahoma will be the last school Dandridge visits before that commitment day. In addition to Georgia and Oklahoma, the receiver is also considering the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Tennessee Volunteers and Stanford Cardinal according to Johnson. The 247Sports Composite rankings rated Dandridge the No. 38 receiver and 26th Georgia prospect in the 2026 recruiting class. Advertisement Additionally, Dandridge is the No. 237 overall recruit in 2026. On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine projected Georgia as having a 35.6% chance of receiving a commitment from Dandridge. ‘Completely ridiculous.' GM shoots down rumors that he'll trade former Red Sox ace
The Atlanta Braves may be 11 games down in their division, but general manager Alex Anthopoulos is making it clear that his team has no plans of selling at the MLB trade deadline. That means, no, former Boston Red Sox ace Chris Sale is not on the market. Advertisement During an 680 The Fan in Atlanta, Anthopoulos was asked about the potential of a trade involving Sale. The Braves GM said there was 'zero' chance that the team would deal him away. 'It's completely ridiculous to me. We're not selling, especially someone that has club control beyond the current year,' Anthopoulos said. 'Will not happen – and I never make definitive statements unless I'm going to stick to them," he added. 'Once you make definitive statements and then go back on them, you're a liar and you're done. Will not happen. Bold, italicize it, caps.' Anthopoulos said he's currently working on a trade that he hopes will prove to fans that the team has no plans of giving up on the season. Advertisement The Braves have run hot and cold this season (mostly cold). They've won six of their last eight games. But that came after a seven-game losing streak. As for Sale, the veteran lefty has been one of the best pitchers in baseball since the Red Sox traded him away. The 36-year-old won his first career Cy Young Award after a dominant 2024 season. This year, it's been more of the same, with Sale posting a 2.52 ERA through 15 starts. There haven't been any direct rumors regarding a Sale trade. But with the Braves struggling this year, there's been heavy speculation that Atlanta could benefit from dealing the veteran starter. Advertisement Anthonopoulos did later admit that he could reevaluate things if Atlanta continues to struggle heading into the trade deadline. However, that would be an 'extreme' scenario, he stressed. More Red Sox coverage Read the original article on MassLive.
