Some outlets are putting her net worth at $1 billion. However, Forbes claims that she hasn't yet reached billionaire status.
Bloomberg had reported near the end of 2024 that Gomez's net worth was $1.3 billion. They reported that this was largely due to her makeup line, Rare Beauty. However, Forbes believes that Gomez's net worth is only around $700 million.

Her biggest asset? Definitely her stake in Rare Beauty, which is allegedly estimated at 51%. Rare Beauty products are only sold on its website and in Sephora stores. In 2023, a California state filing showed that Rare Beauty brought in $367 million in revenue. Forbes valued Rare Beauty at around $1.3 billion based on information from beauty industry analysts.
One analyst with Morningstar, Dan Su, told Forbes, 'The market condition right now is exerting a sort of downward pressure on valuation. And honestly, makeup is a category, in my view, where the entry barrier is relatively low. So there's a lot of competition.'
Forbes recently published a report stating that Gomez's mental health startup, Wondermind, has been facing financial issues. The startup has allegedly failed to pay employees, vendors and freelancers over the past few weeks, with one source claiming that nine employees were laid off. This leaves only four employees at the company.
Wondermind was started in 2021 by Gomez, her mother, Mandy Teefey and Daniella Pierson, who left in 2023. Forbes reported that the startup had owed tens of thousands of dollars (or more) in debts, but the company has said those have been repaid.
Forbes reported that, at the end of March, employees didn't receive a paycheck. They also received an email that stated their health benefits had been terminated two weeks before. Payroll was allegedly missed again on April 30.
Gomez started her career at 10 years old when she played Gianna on 'Barney and Friends.' However, her big break came from her role as Alex Russo in Disney Channel's 'Wizards of Waverly Place.' She even recently reprised that role in the reboot, 'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.'
Gomez reportedly had $90 million in gross earnings over several years from her TV shows, movies, music, brand endorsements and more. According to E! News, Gomez made $30 million from a Puma collaboration and around $24 million from the Hulu series 'Only Murders in the Building.'
Gomez is also a singer, releasing her first album in 2008. She went on a hiatus until her most recent album in March, which she collaborated on with her fiancé, Benny Blanco. Despite this, she hasn't done a tour since 2016.
Gomez purchased a home in Tarzana, California, for an alleged $2.175 million in July 2011. Jonah Hill owned the home, which has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, before Gomez. In May 2014, Gomez listed the home for $3.495 million and allegedly sold it in October of that year for $3.45 million.
Also in 2014, Gomez paid $3.69 million for a home in Calabasas. She did end up selling that home, which you can view a video tour of here:
In 2015, the actor and singer moved to Fort Worth, Texas, eventually selling the home for $2.4 million in 2020. However, in 2017, she spent $2.249 million on a home in Studio City, California. She sold it a year later for $2.3 million.
Forbes reported that Gomez paid almost $5 million for her home in the Encino neighborhood of L.A., where she has filmed multiple seasons of 'Selena + Chef.' Then, this February, Gomez and Blanco reportedly paid $35 million for a home in Beverly Hills.

Jeff Bezos' Marries Lauren Sanchez Next Week: What We Know About Venice Extravaganza
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former journalist Lauren Sánchez will reportedly get hitched next week in what is expected to be an opulent and controversial ceremony hosted in Venice, Italy, reportedly costing millions of dollars and mostly kept under wraps. Bezos and Sánchez will reportedly tie the knot this month. The wedding will be a 'multiday celebration,' according to The Wall Street Journal, noting the cost of the wedding will reach into the millions. Forbes has reached out to Bezos for comment. Where Will Jeff Bezos And Lauren Sánchez's Wedding Take Place? Bezos and Sánchez are reportedly getting married on a Venetian island, according to the Journal. The geography of the small city is spread out across over 110 small islands, with the historical center taking up approximately two square miles. However, a spokesperson for Brugnaro told CNN in March the wedding will take place on Bezos' $500 million superyacht known as the Koru. The Koru is a 417-foot sailing yacht, the second-largest of its kind in the world, meaning it would need to be anchored away from Venice's Grand Canal due to its size. Conversely, 'No Space for Bezos,' a local group protesting the event, has said the wedding will take place in the historic Church of the Abbey of Misericordia, according to the BBC. Some locals in Venice, which has dealt with overtourism that has strained the city's infrastructure and services for years, will protest the wedding over concerns its scale will worsen some of the issues created by excessive tourist crowds. Activists have organized a 'No Space for Bezos' campaign opposing the wedding, posting banners and stickers throughout the city. Federica Toninelli, a Venetian activist with 'No Space for Bezos,' told Reuters the wedding is also a 'symbol of the exploitation of the city by outsiders.' Protesters have threatened to block access to canals and city streets in an effort to block wedding attendees from reaching party venues in the city, according to Variety. Oliviero Cassarà, a lead organizer and activist, said in a statement 'No Space for Bezos' has zero issue with Americans or people getting married in Venice, instead criticizing Bezos for his links to Trump and blasting the president's controversial trade policies. 'Bezos supported Trump economically and politically and is consequently co- responsible for this drift against us Italian and European citizens,' Cassarà said. Brugnaro has spoken out against the protesters and tried to reassure them the city is capable of handling the event, citing its hosting of the Venice Film Festival and G7 Summit. Brugnaro said he was 'ashamed of those who behave like this,' Variety reported. Protest organizers have criticized Brugnaro, insisting demonstrations will be peaceful. How Many People Are Attending The Wedding And Who Is On The Guest List? Venice officials have said the guest list for Bezos and Sánchez's wedding is limited to 200 people. It is not known for certain who will be attending the wedding, but TMZ reported a handful of celebrities received invites including Eva Longoria, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian and Jewel Kilcher, noting Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, in addition to Karlie Kloss and husband Joshua Kushner also made the list. The Journal reported Lanza & Baucina, a London-based group that planned George and Amal Clooney's 2014 wedding in Venice, has been hired by Bezos and Sánchez. A representative for the group told the Journal its principles and the instructions of Bezos call for the 'minimizing of any disruption to the city, the respect for its residents and institutions and the overwhelming employment of locals in the crafting of the events.'
