BRS leader Harish Rao threatens to block Outer Ring Road over Rythu Bharosa

SANGAREDDY: BRS MLA and former minister T Harish Rao on Saturday warned that Outer Ring Road (ORR) will be blocked if the government fails to extend the Rythu Bharosa benefits to farmers of Sangareddy, Rangareddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts with immediate effect.
Addressing a gathering of farmers at Jinnaram under the Patancheru Assembly constituency, he said: 'The government is treating the farmers within the ORR limits inhumanly. It should immediately credit Rythu Bharosa amounts into the bank accounts of these farmers. Otherwise, the farmers will block ORR, which will in turn 'blank' the mind of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy,'
Comparing the present situation with the one that prevailed when the BRS was in power, he said: 'We used to extend Rythu Bandhu benefits to each and every farmer and credit the amount into their accounts without any delays. The situation is different now. But we will continue to fight for the cause of farmers.'
Taking a dig at Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, the BRS leader said: 'This CM doesn't even know where Nallamala forests are and in which basin Devadula is located.'

Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao, who is the in-charge Minister of the erstwhile Karimnagar district, asked officials to immediately identify dilapidated school buildings and shift the students to nearby buildings. Mr. Rao presided over a review meeting with the officials of Karimnagar, Jagtial, Peddapalli and Rajanna Sircilla districts at the Collectorate in Karimnagar on Sunday. He reviewed the functioning of School Education, Agriculture and Housing departments. Minister for IT and Industries D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for Transport and Backward Classes Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar, among others attended the meeting. Metpally MLA K. Sanjay apprised the district in-charge Minister of the dilapidated condition of the State-run high school building in Metpally and sought speedy completion of the government junior college building on the same premises to shift them into the new building. The Minister instructed the officials of the School Education, Panchayat Raj and Roads & Buildings departments to jointly inspect the condition of government school buildings to take appropriate steps to ensure the safety of students in the current rainy season. He asked Collectors to focus on students' enrolment drive in government schools, achieve the stipulated targets of oil palm cultivation and effective implementation of the Indiramma Illu, the flagship housing of the State government, in a transparent manner. Mr. Sridhar Babu said the State government accorded top priority to education, health and agriculture sectors. He called upon the officials to strive to ensure the benefits of the welfare schemes, including Indiramma housing, reach all the deserving people. He wanted the officials to encourage farmers to grow suitable alternative crops, including vegetables, so as to double their income. He directed the officials to take stringent action against those selling spurious seed. Mr. Prabhakar asked the officials to focus on improving students' enrolment and enhancing learning outcomes in government schools. Highlighting the initiatives of the Congress government such as recruiting teachers and conducting training programmes for teachers of State-run schools, he emphasised the need for increased community engagement in Badi Bata enrolment campaign to make all stakeholders active partners in the endeavour. He added that the government has started disbursing ₹9,000 crore to farmers under the Rythu Bharosa, the investment support scheme, across the State within nine days in a mission mode.

Country witnessing remarkable growth under Modi's leadership: Kishan Reddy

HYDERABAD BJP State president and Union Minister of Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy said that the country has witnessed remarkable growth in all sectors over the past 11 years under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while the previous Congress-led governments were known for 'inefficiency' and 'corruption'. Addressing the Viksit Bharat Sankalp meeting, Mr. Kishan Reddy said, 'People voted the BJP to power as they wanted to unseat the corrupt Congress government in 2014,' he said. Drawing parallels between the Modi government and the Manmohan Singh-led UPA government, the BJP leader alleged that the Singh government was considered a puppet government. Referring to India's recent retaliation to the Pakistan-sponsored Pahalgam terrorist attack, Mr. Reddy said that Operation Sindoor had taught a befitting lesson to Pakistan. 'During the previous government led by Congress, Pakistan used to have a field day carrying out terrorists at its will. But things have now entirely changed under the Modi government,' Kishan Reddy claimed. Under the Modi government, the Union Minister said that basic amenities in rural India had been improved significantly, while rural roads and national highways were also built on a large scale. 'While there are 33 districts in Telangana, 32 districts have been connected with national highways,' he said, crediting Modi for the massive infrastructure development in Telangana. Mr. Reddy also slammed both the ruling Congress and the main Opposition BRS for 'failing to fulfill people's aspirations'. 'People are vexed with the corrupt BRS and voted it out of power. Then, they believed in the tall promises made by the Congress, but the Revanth Reddy government has miserably failed to fulfill the poll promises,' he said. Several BJP top leaders, including Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Mahabubnagar MP D.K. Aruna, National OBC Morcha president K. Laxman, TG party in-charge Sunil Bansal, former Governor Ch. Vidyasagar Rao, and BJP LP leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy, were present.

Congress govt. shielding KCR family on KLIP row: Bandi Sanjay Kumar

Alleging massive corruption in Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) under the previous BRS government led by KCR, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar hit back at the ruling Congress dispensation accusing it of being a shield for KCR family. 'Some people are spreading false propaganda that the BJP has changed its stance on Kaleshwaram and colluded with BRS. Our party's stand on the Kaleshwaram project is very clear, and our demand is for a CBI inquiry into the Kaleshwaram project,' Mr. Sanjay told the media in Karimnagar on Sunday. 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself said that the Kaleshwaram Project became an ATM for KCR's family. That is BJP's stand too. If any party leader speaks against the BJP's stand, it's wrong. The high command will deal with them,' he said in reply to a query. Has Congress leader Rahul Gandhi forgotten his earlier demand for a CBI probe into the Kaleshwaram fiasco during the last Assembly elections? he asked. 'We don't trust the Congress government's current investigation into Kaleshwaram project. Our main demand remains a CBI inquiry,' he added. Citing the copies of the Central Water Commission (CWC) report, he said the CWC reported that Tummidihatti has water availability of 165 tmc ft based on the scientific assessment of the data from the past 33 years (1986 to 2013). 'But those at the highest echelons of power in the previous BRS government altered the design and looted public money by inflating the ₹38,000 crore project to ₹1.2 lakh crore,' he charged. 'The project failed to bring any tangible results.' If BRS claims that the Kaleshwaram project was built with Cabinet approval and sub-committee recommendations, why aren't they making those documents public? Mr. Sanjay asked. Taking a dig at KCR, he said that Mr. Rao, who called himself a top engineer, alone made all decisions including on Kaleshwaram during his tenure as Chief Minister. Stating that the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) is a statutory body, the Union Minister said the BJP's view is that any future action on the Kaleshwaram project must be guided by the expert committee report.
