Seahawks' biggest Achilles heel since 2020
Pro Football Focus recently released a list compiling all 32 teams' most difficult opponents since the 2020 season. Almost every player is active except the Seattle Seahawks' one. The Seahawks' biggest Achilles heel has been former Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald.
"Aaron Donald's second appearance on this list comes about due to his production against a divisional foe," Dalton Wasserman wrote. "In seven matchups against Seattle from 2020 to 2023, Donald recorded a 92.1 PFF pass-rush grade. He generated a ridiculous 47 pressures, six sacks, a batted pass, and a 21.9% pass rush win rate. Statistics like that are simply a reminder of how dominant Donald was."
Donald announced his retirement in 2023 after an illustrious 10-year career. The Seahawks were thrilled to see him hang up his cleats. The future first-ballot Hall of Famer and three-time Defensive Player of the Year Award winner is arguably the greatest defensive player of all time.
Unfortunately for the Seahawks, the rival Rams quickly reloaded their defensive line following Donald's premature retirement. The likes of Jared Verse, Braden Fiske, Byron Young, and Kobie Turner have formed a fierce pass rush in L.A. They're no Aaron Donald, though, who routinely tormented the Seahawks throughout his career.

Jets Running Back Tipped For 'Make-Or-Break' Season
Jets Running Back Tipped For 'Make-Or-Break' Season originally appeared on Athlon Sports. New York Jets running back Breece Hall is under no illusions as to what is on the line for him in 2025. Entering a contract year with a new regime, Breece, who was once the bellcow for the offense, will be splitting carries with Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis. Advertisement That isn't ideal. But for Hall, he needs to separate himself from that duo and emerge as the star back we want him to be. He knows what is at stake, and now is the time for the running back to make good on his potential as a star of the league. And for Pro Football Focus, Breece faces a make-or-break season. "Hall has been the subject of criticism and trade rumors this offseason," Pro Football Focus writes. "Head coach Aaron Glenn recently shot the latter down, but Hall still needs a bounce-back campaign to secure a long-term future in New York. "There is a chance that he is a dynamic playmaker in a new offense, but there may be an equal chance that 2025 is his last season in New York." New York Jets running back Breece Hall (20) runs with the ball© Kevin R. / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images Hall saw his name thrown up as a trade target this offseason, but he will be a Jet in 2025. Still, he has to show he can be "the" guy for Tanner Engstrand. Advertisement To do that, he must show in training camp that there is only one answer to the Jets' run game question. He's off to a solid start under Glenn, but the real proof will be when training camp rolls around. Breece has all the potential in the world, but even he said during minicamp, the time has come for that potential to manifest itself into something tangible. Because in a contract year, Hall needs to show out, otherwise his NFL career might continue in 2026 with another team.
