How many Rams made ESPN's All Quarter Century Team?

How many Rams made ESPN's All Quarter Century Team? There's been no lack of star power for the Rams this century. In the Sean McVay era alone, the Rams have had Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey, Cooper Kupp, Matthew Stafford, Jared Goff and Todd Gurley all suit up for them. And in the early 2000s, it was Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt and the other Greatest Show on Turf playmakers leading the way. Dating back to the start of this century, how many of the game's best players have played for the Rams? ESPN created an All Quarter Century Team with 25 years of the 2000s in the books and the Rams had a handful of selections. At defensive tackle, Donald was an obvious choice. He's a future Hall of Famer and legitimately one of the best defenders in NFL history, dominating for the entirety of his career from 2014-2023. Donald is certainly the greatest defensive tackle of the past 25 years and possibly the greatest in NFL history. His 20.5 sacks in 2018 set a single-season record for a primary defensive tackle, while his career total is second among defensive tackles (since 1982) behind John Randle's 137.5. Bobby Wagner only had a one-year stint with the Rams but he's still an all-time great at linebacker. He was one of ESPN's five selections at the position, along with Ray Lewis, Brian Urlacher, Lavonte David and Luke Kuechly. At cornerback, Ramsey didn't quite make the cut but he was chosen as a 'practice squad' player behind Darrelle Revis, Champ Bailey, Ronde Barber, Richard Sherman and Patrick Peterson. Ramsey played three and a half years for the Rams and was a Pro Bowler each season, unquestionably establishing himself as one of the best cornerbacks of this generation. Sean McVay missed out on the coaching staff and was snubbed for Kyle Shanahan, who ESPN picked to be the team's offensive coordinator. Wade Phillips was chosen as the defensive coordinator, a position he held with the Rams from 2017-2019 – his final job in the NFL. Had Gurley not gotten hurt, he might've had a case at running back but with only three players picked at that position, it would've been a tough group to crack. Priest Holmes, Christian McCaffrey and Derrick Henry were the selections, with LaDainian Tomlinson on the practice squad.

'Fully bald' Joel McHale reveals he underwent FOUR hair transplants

Joel McHale has undergone four $10,0000 hair transplants and admits he is "fully bald". The 53-year-old actor and comedian - who is best known for hosting The Soup and his role as Jeffrey "Jeff" Winger on the NBC sitcom Community - says the treatments he has had are "a miracle" because he lost all his hair ages ago. Appearing on the We Might Be Drunk podcast, he confirmed: "Yeah, I'm fully bald. [I've had] four transplants. "I did it way back when it was a strip. Painful. Don't do a strip. Do plucking. Now they pluck it from the whole back section, and it's a miracle. "You're still going bald, so that hair is still falling out, but the hair that you put there is growing, but you'll still thin, because the hair that was going to fall out is going to fall out." On the recovery process, he added: "They send you home with Tylenol. If you shave your head, it goes faster." He's hopeful there is going to be a pill to cure baldness, adding: "They are still trying to unlock the DNA but they thought that would be solved 15 years ago." Joel recently revealed a Community movie is in the works. He starred as a suspended lawyer who attends a community college in the NBC sitcom - which originally ran from 2009 until 2014 - and, in April, he revealed the budget had been put in place for a big-screen adaptation. He told Us Weekly: "We are going to make the movie and we have the money. "We are funded. That is the hardest thing to get made, or get to get done, and we have got that done. It's come down to scheduling. And so, I think it'll be done by — I think it'll shoot at some point this year. Probably in the autumn. That's my prediction and that's also my hope." Last year, the Ted star - who appeared alongside the likes of Donald Glover, Alison Brie and Yvette Nicole Brown in the sticom - explained that any delay in the movie's development was down to him and his hectic schedule. He said: "If it's anybody's fault, it's my schedule on this one. It's not [Donald's] at all. He was available. … We love Donald. You can fully blame my schedule."

World Test Championship victory makes up for '99 Cricket World Cup semi, says Allan Donald

It still ranks as one of the biggest heartbreaks in SA cricketing history, and Donald said those demons can finally be vanquished. South Africa famously tied their 1999 Cricket World Cup semi-final in England, with Donald involved in a mix-up with Lance Klusener with one run needed for the win when the fateful run-out occurred. With the teams ending in a tie, Australia advanced to the final and went on to lift the title. As Donald was seen, quite unfairly, as one of the main scapegoats for South Africa's exit in the 1999 Cricket World Cup semi-final, it came as welcome relief when Temba Bavuma and his charges finally got one over the old foe in a major final at Lord's. The Proteas ' victory in the World Test Championship ( WTC ) final over Australia has been seen as a breakthrough, and legendary SA fast bowler Allan Donald has echoed that sentiment. South Africa's Journey to the WTC Final: Overcoming Criticism and Proving Their Critics Wrong "It really is a day for the past players who were involved in the '99 World Cup and the guys who followed them, will know how close it was to be in the final, but I think we can safely say now that gate is now shut,' Donald told CricBlog. South Africa were also criticised about their path to the final since they had not played two of the big three in the WTC cycle - Australia and England. The Proteas did begin the cycle with a series draw against India in South Africa. "Well done to this group. They deserve it. They worked so hard. And to have done what they have done... you can say a lot of other teams will say they haven't played against the very best and all this other stuff. 'I don't care. They got into the final and when it needed them to produce, they did. That's all that matters. They did. And they needed to front up with their backs against the wall. They showed again what 'refuse to lose' means to these guys. They are going to come and they're going to come hard, come again, bounce back strong, which they did." @Michael_Sherman IOL Sport
