Adam Schefter gives update on Jalen Ramsey trade timeline, preferred teams
Where Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey ends up to start the 2025 NFL season is one of the biggest mysteries this summer. The veteran is widely expected to be traded away, but so far there have been few updates.
Well, ESPN's Adam Schefter has some answers.

Schefter told The Pat McAfee Show this week that he expects Ramsey to be traded before the start of training camps and that he prefers to go to the West Coast — either the Los Angeles Rams or the Los Angeles Chargers."
"Jalen Ramsey will get traded," Schefter said. "It'll be, I would expect before the start of training camp. We'll see how it shakes out, where he goes. I think he would like to go to the West Coast. To Los Angeles. Rams, Chargers, something like that."
The Rams haven't said much about their purported interest in a reunion, although Ramsey was in L.A. recently to work out with ex-Rams and Chargers safety Eric Weddle.

Ramsey, 30, played four years with the Rams from 2019 to 2022 where he made three Pro Bowls and one All-Pro team. He racked up 242 combined tackles, 10 interceptions and defended 47 passes before L.A. traded him to the Dolphins ahead of the 2023 season.
Bringing Ramsey back could be costly, but he would upgrade a mediocre secondary that returned the entire 2024 lineup that gave up the 26th-most passing yards during that season. But it takes two to tango, and the Rams may not want to pay up to bring back their star cornerback.

Odell Beckham Hints at Giants Reunion
Odell Beckham Hints at Giants Reunion originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Odell Beckham returning to the New York Giants remains a longer shot than some of the one-handed catches he made in Gotham. But maybe at least one of the parties is genuinely interested in a reunion. Advertisement Beckham was traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2019 after a fascinating five-season stint with the Giants. He was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2014 and made three Pro Bowls, but his narcissism and sideline antics earned him a ticket out of town. He's played with four teams in the last four years, winning a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021 and last season caught nine passes in nine games for the Miami Dolphins before being cut in December. Beckham, still only 32, remains a free agent as NFL training camps are begin to open in three weeks. During a panel appearance at Fanatics Fest NYC on Saturday, a fan yelled out to encourage Beckham to return to the Giants. He offered a smile and a three-word response. Said Beckham, "I got you." Advertisement Whether the Giants "got" a need for Beckham remains to be seen. New York's receiving corps is led by Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton, Wan'Dale Robinson and Jalin Hyatt. New quarterback Russell Wilson has an elite target in Nabers, but seemingly the Giants could use another dynamic weapon. "I never, ever wanted to leave the New York Giants," Beckham Jr. said. "The reason you heard me talking about what was going on was because I was pissed because, where I come from in college, if we lost one game, our season was over. "This was the organization I got drafted to. They believed in me. So if the Giants went and won a Super Bowl, I would be happy. But deep down inside, I wanted to be the one. No question. So it's definitely you'll always hold that. But then someone like me, I went to the LA Rams, won a Super Bowl. But still, you just want that." Riley Gaines reacts to ‘phenom' Simone Biles deleting X after feud over transgender athletes
Decorated Olympian gymnast Simone Biles deactivated her X account weeks after her feud with former swimmer and women's sports activist Riley Gaines over a transgender high school softball player spiraled out of control. The 28-year-old's other social media accounts are still active, including her Instagram, which has 12.4 million followers. After noticing Biles' retreat, Gaines, 25, said it was 'sad to see such a phenom go down like this. ' 3 Olympian Simone Biles deleted her X account following her feud over transgender athletics with swimmer Riley Gaines. X / simone_biles '-has an incredibly unpopular and morally indefensible take, gets rightfully ridiculed for it, issues a groveling public apology after unrelenting backlash, deletes account to pretend it never happened,' the former NCAA swimmer for the University of Kentucky wrote on X. In early June, Marissa Rothenberger, a transgender athlete, pitched a shutout to give Minnesota's Champlin Park High School a state championship. The State High School League posted a team photo on social media after the big win — with comments turned off. 'To be expected when your star player is a boy,' Gaines, who competed against transgender University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas in 2022, said. Biles fired back at Gaines' critique. 3 Simone Biles during the Women's Team Final on day four of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games at Ariake Gymnastics Centre on July 27, 2021, in Tokyo, Japan. You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports. Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports!! But instead… You bully them… One things for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around!!!!!' Biles wrote. Biles later apologized for the insults lobbed at Gaines, who is now a conservative commentator and activist for protecting women's sports. 3 Riley Gaines speaks at a news conference following the House of Representatives vote on H.R. 28 – 'Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act' at the US Capitol on Jan. 14, 2025. Getty Images 'I wanted to follow up from my last tweets. I've always believed competitive equity & inclusivity are both essential in sport. The current system doesn't adequately balance these important principles, which often leads to frustration and heated exchanges, and it didn't help for me to get personal with Riley, which I apologize for,' Biles wrote. 'We all want a future for sport that is fair, inclusive, and respectful,' she insisted. But the damage had already been done — and other sports celebrities weighed in, including ex-NASCAR driver Danica Patrick and Biles' former teammate MyKayla Skinner, who accused her of bullying. The exact reason why Biles deleted her X and not her other social media accounts is unclear.

Pep Guardiola reaction — Man City boss praises Ait-Nouri, Echeverri, Gundogan
Manchester City clobbered UAE side Al Ain at the Club World Cup on Sunday, scoring three goals in each half to seal passage to the knockout rounds via a 6-0 win. RECAP — Man City 6-0 Al Ain City will try to beat Juventus on Thursday to win Group G, but Guardiola's started 22 different players over two games including several new faces and he'll consider this tournament a success outside of the additional minutes it's asked of his squad. Ilkay Gundogan scored twice in the win, while Claudio Echeverri spun home a wonderful free kick and Rayan Ait-Nouri was terrific at left back. No, the opposition was not Premier League level. Yes, City looked very sharp. Pep Guardiola reaction on Ait-Nouri, Echeverri, Gundogan Here's Pep on ex-Wolves man Ait-Nouri, via Manchester Evening News: 'We knew it. A talent, within the final third a lot of talent. Defensively, he can play outside, he can play inside, and in the final third he's so clever. Really good.' On Gundogan: 'Gundo's an exceptional player! Exceptional in all senses. He's really, really good and made a fantastic goal, he reads what we have to do every game. I'm really pleased.' On Echeverri: "[Exiting at halftime] was a pity. It was a problem at half-time. ... I want to tell you a secret. Last season, when he arrived, after every training session he practiced free kicks alone. So work pays off. If he scored a goal, it's because he practiced. When other guys don't practice, they don't score.'
