EXCLUSIVE Paris Jackson and older fiancé spotted in matching grungy outfits on rare LA outing days before she glammed out at amfAR Gala
has openly admitted her struggles following the death of her superstar father Michael Jackson and harrowing journey to sobriety from alcohol and heroin.
But her road to recovery appears to be a lighter load with her much older fiancé Justin Long by her side, which was apparent as Paris looked at ease as she and her man walked hand in hand to grab takeout.
But a few days later Paris, 27, showed her glam side as she turned up solo for Thursday's amFAR Gala in Cannes, France in a daring thigh-baring outfit.
The couple's stroll in Malibu led them to the trendy cafe Sunlife Organics which caters to her vegan lifestyle.
With six months of engagement under their belt, Paris and Long, 46, were more than comfortable sporting a grungy look as embarked down the empty street on the morning of May 4.
Putting her bleach blonde locks into a messy bun, Paris wore a green long-sleeve shirt with an evil eye motif, black leggings and tan running shoes.
Long wore a distressed Van Halen t-shirt, accompanied by gray sweats and white Vans-styled sneakers.
Butit was a totally different look in Cannes. As she sauntered down the red carpet for the festival's annual amfAR Cannes Gala, her slit-way-up-to-there outfit turned heads.
The cream gown was embroidered with a cluster of shimmering silver beads along the neckline and seamlessly transitioned into a structured bodice with daring shoulder pads, drawing attention to her silhouette before cascading into a sheer, floor-length skirt.
The layered design revealed a nude bodysuit underneath, while a racy thigh-high slit offered an alluring glimpse of her toned legs as she walked.
She elevated her outfit with a pair of nude heels and accessorized with silver jewelry.
Paris pulled her blonde locks into a stylish updo and finished off her look with a swipe of satin red lipstick.
The layered cream gown Paris wore in Cannes revealed a nude bodysuit underneath, while a racy thigh-high slit offered an alluring glimpse of her toned legs as she walked the red carpet
Her outfit skirted the line of Cannes' newly implemented dress code, which was devised for 'the sake of decency' and bans nudity, long trains and voluminous outfits.
Long wasn't in France with Paris for the Gala, but the pair were spotted together at another well-known event in February, the Grammy Awards Viewing Party at the Hollywood Palladium.
The couple appeared radiant and in love as they embraced each other for a photo. A stark contrast from the somber reveal Paris had dropped on social media a month prior.
The singer posted a video to Instagram on January 7 revealing that she was five years into her sobriety journey from heroin and alcohol, featuring disturbing clips that showed the darkest moments of her dependence.
'Hi, I'm pk and I'm an alcoholic and a heroin addict,' she wrote.
'Today marks 5 years clean & sober from all drugs and alcohol. To say that I'm thankful would be a poor euphemism. Gratitude hardly scratches the surface.
'It's because I'm sober that I get to smile today. I get to make music. I get to experience the joy of loving my dogs and cat. I get to feel heartbreak in all its glory. I get to grieve. I get to laugh. I get to dance. I get to trust.
'I feel the sun on my skin and it's warm. I've found that life keeps happening regardless of whether I'm sober or not, but today I get to show up for it.
'Here's a little snapshot of what has been possible because of my sobriety, and my god I can't believe I almost missed it all,' she finished off the heartbreaking caption.
This confirmed the speculation that had been swirling through the airwaves, despite Paris' persistent denial.
Even some members of her famous family revealed they were left completely in the dark when it came to her private struggles with addiction.
An insider close to Janet Jackson – Michael's younger sister – exclusively told DailyMail.com she 'had no idea' that her niece was battling addiction and was 'heartbroken when she found out with the rest of the world'.
Paris's journey to sobriety was complicated by feelings of depression and anxiety. Speaking to Rolling Stone in 2017, the singer admitted she had attempted suicide at age 15 and was later hospitalized.
She described how several of her tattoos conceal both track marks from drug use and self-harm scars.
'It was just self-hatred, low self-esteem, thinking that I couldn't do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore,' she confessed.
The loss of her father, who struggled with his own drug use that led to his death at his Los Angeles mansion at age 50, also contributed to her spiral.
But multiple rehab stints, a therapeutic school she attended for her sophomore and part of her junior year in high school and the supportive love from Long appears to have mended some of those wounds.
The couple are believed to have started dating in 2022, and while it's unclear when exactly they got engaged - though she was spotted wearing the ring back in September – they announced their joyous moment on December 6, 2024.
'Happy birthday my sweet blue,' she wrote in a birthday tribute announcing their engagement.

Cardi-B puts on a busty display in a bold cowboy outfit as she heads to Beyonce's concert in Paris
Cardi-B put on a busty display in a bold cowboy outfit as she headed to Beyonce's concert in Paris on Sunday. The Please Me singer, 32, turned heads as she stepped out in a fur corset which featured structure hip pads, a belt and long leather tassels. She layered her unique country-inspired garment under a matching ankle-length trench coat. In keeping with her cowboy theme, Cardi-B added inches to her surgically-enhanced frame as she slipped into a pair of matching towering platform heels. To accessorise, the songstress added a pop of colour with huge teal statement necklace. Finishing her cowboy themed ensemble, Cardi-B wore a matching fur hat and a long pale blue wig. Beyonce is currently in Paris performing after she concluded her epic six-night concert run in London on Monday night, breaking her own huge record at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The 43-year-old singer's groundbreaking series of concerts welcomed over 275,000 fans and grossed over £45million (over $61million USD), making it the most tickets and highest gross for any artist in the stadium's history. Beyoncé also now holds the all-time record at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the most concerts performed by any artist. Her Cowboy Carter Tour shows - held June 5, 7, 10, 12, 14, and 16 - surpassed the benchmark she previously set with five sold-out nights during her Renaissance World Tour in 2023. This broke her own all-time record for most performances by any artist at the venue. At the venue she also broke the record for the most ticket sales for any artist - with over 275,000 tickets sold. It is also the highest grossing concerts for any artist (over £45million) at Tottenham. The news comes after Beyoncé reportedly 'bowed down' to Mariah Carey and 'packed up her £25k-a-night London penthouse for the diva songstress to move in.' The singer's groundbreaking series of concerts welcomed over 275,000 fans and grossed over £45M, making it the most tickets and highest gross for any artist in the stadium's history The If I Were A Boy hitmaker had booked a 12-night stay at the Corinthia while performing at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. But she allegedly moved out at the weekend when self-confessed diva Mariah, 56, touched down to play at Capital's Summertime Ball on Sunday. A source told The Sun: 'Superstars as big as Beyonce and Mariah want to stay in only the best hotels. 'Beyonce had been staying in Corinthia's penthouses. 'But when Mariah flew in, Beyonce packed up so Mariah could take over her suites. It was like Beyonce was bowing down to another music queen.'

Briton arrested after Disneyland Paris ‘mock wedding' with girl, 9
A British man was arrested on Sunday after an alleged attempt to stage a mock wedding with a nine-year-old girl before a crowd of 100 guests at Disneyland Paris. The man, 22, was allegedly the 'groom' at a bizarre staged ceremony at dawn on Saturday in front of the Sleeping Beauty castle in the theme park 20 miles east of Paris. The aim was to make a video for social media, he told police. Disney staff intervened to halt the action and called police when they spotted the girl, a nine-year-old Ukrainian, in a bridal dress. The organisers had booked the park — which is available to rent outside public visiting hours — for a function that they said would be a genuine wedding ceremony. The 'guests' were recruited online through adverts seeking 200 adults and 100 children aged between five and 15 to play the guests at a 'rehearsal' for a wedding at Disneyland. Video obtained by BFM TV showed about 100 seated guests awaiting the ceremony as a female violin trio played at dawn before a stage strewn with flowers. The event had cost the organiser €130,000, BFM said. Alexandre Verney, assistant prosecutor for the Seine-et-Marne département, said: 'Four people were arrested and questioned: the groom, who was believed to be the organiser of the event and is presumed to be British and aged 22; the mother of the child, a 41-year-old Ukrainian woman; and two Latvian nationals aged 55 and 24. 'It wasn't a wedding but a staged wedding that was to be filmed with a hundred extras. They privatised Disneyland, claiming that it was a real marriage.' The mother and the older Latvian were released after a medical examination of the girl showed no mistreatment or constraint. The Briton and the other Latvian were held for questioning over possible money laundering and fraud offences, the prosecutor's office said. Disney thanked its staff for their action in halting the event. A witness told Le Parisien: 'We were not told at any time that it was about a film shoot. We all thought we were going to part of a wedding. Everyone was stunned. No one expected this. Disneyland does things very well. They immediately cancelled when they understood that the bride was a kid. We were sickened by that.' The extras said they had been driven from central Paris on buses at 5am and given pink bracelets with the names of the 'bride and groom' printed on them. One of the extras, named Yeleen, who went to the ceremony with her daughter, said: 'I saw a little girl dressed in white. I saw her hair prepared with curls and a lady picking her up in her arms. At that moment, I was shocked. I realised when I saw the child. It was atrocious.'

Blue Ivy looks the spitting image of her superstar mom Beyoncé as she arrives in Paris with rapper dad Jay-Z
Blue Ivy looked the spitting image of her superstar mom Beyoncé as she arrived in Paris on Wednesday. The 13-year-old recently made the stage her own runway before breaking into a solo dance at the opening night of her mum's Cowboy Carter tour. And arriving in Paris on Wednesday, Blue looked a mirror image of Bey as she stepped out of a chauffeured car. Blue sported dark denim baggy jeans and an oversized grey t-shirt with a pair of blue Adidas trainers as she entered a restaurant. Later her father, rapper Jay-Z, was seen waving to fans as he arrived at Moët Hennessy in the French capital. Jay-Z sported jeans and a white t-shirt with tan Timberland boots as he signed autographs outside the French luxury goods offices. The nepo baby showcased her explosive choreography as she led a troupe of her mom's backing dancers in front of 70,000 fans at California 's SoFi stadium in April. With music in her genes, it seems fitting that Blue has inherited a taste not only for the industry, but also the spotlight. Now, the Daily Mail can reveal the seasoned performer wants more than to saddle up beside her mother – she wants to take the reins and pen her own body of work. 'Blue is considering starting her own career in music,' our insider said. 'Some of Beyoncé's favorite writers are quietly penning demos for her in anticipation of a solo album.' With no shortage of industry bigwigs to lean on, the youngster has reportedly sought help from her famous aunt Solange Knowles and already has tracks lined up from The-Dream, should she want them. The American songwriter and producer has long worked with Beyoncé, co-writing songs including Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) and Break My Soul from her Grammy-winning Renaissance album. He also worked with Jay-Z on his 2013 track No Church in the Wild. 'Blue is also writing material with help from Solange,' our source continued. 'The-Dream has been spearheading it, and he has two or three records for her. 'They know the fans want to hear a Blue record.' Later her father, rapper Jay-Z, was seen waving to fans as he arrived at Moët Hennessy in the French capital They added: 'She is only allowed to listen to age-appropriate songs from artists and has been listening to Infinity Song, Michelle Williams' Heart 2 Yours record and Goapele.' Blue Ivy's foray into solo stardom won't be her first shot at singing. The young teen, whose fan base is known as the Ivy League, had credits to her name long before reaching double digits. Dubbed 'the most famous baby in the world' by TIME, just ten days after her birth in January 2012 her coos and cries featured on her dad's track Glory. The following year she landed a credit on her mom's single Blue from her self-titled album. Aged seven, she sang on Homecoming: The Live Album – a collection of recordings from Beyoncé's record-breaking Coachella 2018 set – performing her own rendition of hymn Lift Every Voice and Sing. 'I want to do it again… I want to do it again,' she says at the end of the track. 'It feels good!' And do it again she did. In 2019 she became the youngest female artist to chart on the Hot 100 after featuring on her mom's single Brown Skin Girl – a title she later lost to her sister Rumi after she joined Beyoncé on Protector last year. The credit also earned Blue a Grammy and the Guinness World Record for youngest individually credited person to receive one of the famous gold-plated gongs. Soon followed a cascade of accolades, all before she had started secondary education, as well as a spot on her mom's record-breaking Renaissance World Tour - which saw her criticised for her moves. In 2023 she finally showcased her singing live on stage in Dubai with a duet with her mom who was making her return to the stage for the first time in four years. The one-hour set earned the pop superstar a reported $35 million. And Blue Ivy could challenge her mom's fortune if she is able to shake the nepo baby tag and deliver real talent. 'Blue Ivy could easily secure multi-million-dollar deals, lucrative brand partnerships, and significant earnings from streaming platforms and endorsements right from the start,' said PR expert Stacy Jones Founder and CEO, Hollywood Branded. 'Think Olivia Rodrigo or Billie Eilish, but amplified due to her family background. 'Could she become as big as Beyoncé? Honestly, that's an extraordinarily high bar, but if Blue Ivy delivers real talent, authenticity, and genuinely connects with fans, especially Gen Z, there's no reason she couldn't carve out her own substantial legacy.'
