Man arrested after Katy Perry ambushed on stage in terrifying stage invasion

The man who stormed the stage during Katy Perry's recent concert has now been arrested and charged with two offences.
Since kicking off her Lifetimes world tour last month, the Firework singer has faced a string of viral moments, including for her 'cringe' dancing, confronting a fan and nearly plunging into a crowd.
The 40-year-old was met with another unsettling moment after an over-eager fan took things a little too far and jumped on stage with her at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney
Footage made the rounds on social media on Monday, showing the shocking moment Johnson Wen – known online as Pyjama Man – crashed her rendition of 2008 hit, Hot N Cold, before being escorted off stage.
According to 9News, he was arrested after the incident, and taken to Auburn Police Station.
Wen was eventually charged with entering enclosed lands, as well as obstructing a person in the performance of their work or duty.
After being granted conditional bail, he was issued with a six-month ban from entering the Sydney Olympic Park Precinct, and is due to appear at Burwood Local Court on June 23.
Speaking to the outlet after his bizarre antics, Wen claimed that he stormed the stage for fun, and detailed the moment that Perry 'freaked out' at his appearance.
'I said, 'Let me get on stage with you', then she freaked out because she realised I wasn't a performer,' he recalled.
'I was about to do like extra Fortnite moves but security got there too quick.'
This isn't his first brush with the law, as he was already banned from the Olympic Park for crashing the Weeknd's concert, and also invaded arenas at the Olympics, the Women's World Cup and the Cricket World Cup final.
However, Wen has vowed that he will no longer storm stages, adding: 'I'm planning to quit forever because you get in way too much trouble for it.
'Especially me, because I've done it so many times.'
Perry is currently performing in Australia, where she has already played two shows in Sydney and one in Melbourne.
On Monday night, a clip shared by Pop Crave showed the musician belting out her 2008 hit while holding a guitar.
Things then took a turn when Wen appeared on stage, before running up to her and grabbing her shoulder, while excitedly jumping up and down.
Visibly uncomfortable by the encounter, Perry spun away and told the confused crowd: 'Well, there's never going to be another show like this, so just enjoy it, Sydney.'

Security were then seen trying to drag him off stage.
Soon after, the Roar icon exclaimed to the audience: 'What the hell is going on?'
Just a few days ago she also faced a near-miss after being suspended by a crane while singing.

During her set, Perry soared over the mosh pit, but after the crane tilted unexpectedly, she was briefly left upside down.
Realising her risk of plunging headfirst into the sea of people, she was heard exclaiming, 'Oh dear!'
However, she continued with the song and waved to the arena to assure everyone she was fine.
Last month, she also narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction at a Las Vegas show when her bra snapped.
'Oh, my bra's gonna come off,' she joked, dancing along while calling to her crew for help. More Trending
'Get my bra back on, Patrick,' she said before turning to the audience and joking: 'Sorry, guys, you didn't pay that much.'
After massive demand for her shows Down Under, Perry added extra ones, and will now perform a total of 15 in Australia, where she'll be until the end of the month.
She is set to bring her Lifetimes Tour to the UK later this year, playing concerts in Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, and London in October.

Noel Edmonds tears up reflecting on ‘dark space' when he attempted suicide
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Noel Edmonds has reflected on 'dark times' from his past in his return to TV. The former Deal or No Deal host is back with Kiwi Adventure, which follows his life in New Zealand with wife Liz as they run a hospitality business in the rural town of Ngatimoti. Noel, 76, and Liz, whom we married in 2009, decided to make the move in 2015 before going ahead in 2019, having previously said the 'incredible spiritual pull' he felt when visiting the country made him want to settle there. Now, the couple owns an 800-acre estate called River Haven, boasting a vineyard, restaurant, wellness centre, and a pub named The Bugger Inn. In the first episode of his comeback, Noel, who was last seen on telly when he was voted off I'm A Celebrity in 2018, became emotional as he looked back on his tougher moments and feeling suicidal. At one point, he visited a sculpture named Guardian, which was described by narrator Rob Brydon as 'a permanent reminder of a difficult period in his life'. 'In 2005, at the height of his fame, Noel's production company unexpectedly went bankrupt, hugely affecting his mental health,' Rob explained to viewers. Cutting back to Noel, the former House Party presenter pointed to a plinth: 'There's a description of my story here, for guests to understand why I had Guardian created.' 'My Unique group of companies was deliberately collapsed by some corrupt bankers,' he recalled. 'And I'm safe in saying that because my bank manager went to prison, along with four others, for 50 years. 'What they were doing was pushing businesses over the edge and then taking assets—that's basically what it was about. 'When the companies went into administration in 2006, I thought I was a crap businessman. I thought it was my fault. 70 people lost their jobs.' Noel then shared: 'And I said to Liz, who was a fantastic support, 'When,' not if, 'When I win my battle to get my losses back, I'm gonna get the great Weta Studios, Lord of the Rings, Avatar, the real creative powerhouses here in New Zealand, I'm gonna ask them to build me a statue'.' Indeed, that's when Guardian was made, with Liz designing the shield the statue holds to represent his legal 'fight'. Beside the statue of a crouching man with his head bowed is an inscription, which Noel says is what encouraged him to build it in the first place. 'It was that inscription that held me together and motivated me during some very dark times,' he admitted, with the plaque reading: 'The devil saw me with my head down and thought he'd won until I said Amen.' 'The relevance of that is the knight is not kneeling in defeat; he's praying,' revealed Noel. He then became choked up as he explained just how hard the legal battle hit his mental health: 'He's praying before he gets up and defeats the dark force, the enemy. 'I'll tell you, when you go to that dark space… I used to, like many people, kind of look down my nose and think, why would anybody want to take their own life? Why would they want to do that? 'I'll tell you, if you've ever been in that dark space, you'll never be critical, because it's a space where there is no reason.' Noel concluded by sharing that the Guardian statue is there for those who feel 'weak,' 'disenfranchised,' 'marginalised,' and 'let down' by society. 'He has not given up. You can feel it.' Grabbing onto the sword, he tearfully said: 'Thanks, mate. Thank you.' This isn't the first time Noel has spoken candidly about his suicidal thoughts. In June 2017, he shared that he had attempted to take his life in 2005 after the fraud by a group of HBOS financiers destroyed his businesses. At the time, he wished to 'end the overwhelming mental pain that had consumed [his] whole being'. 'Until these criminals took me to the brink of emotional annihilation, I had always felt those who opt out by taking their own lives were selfish and cowardly… But having been cast into that bottomless dark space devoid of logic and reason, I have a much deeper understanding of life without hope…', he said. Noel also stated then that he 'sought no sympathy' and 'felt no shame' in making the confession. Ultimately, Noel received an apology from Lloyds Banking Group, which agreed a compensation deal with him following the fraud case. While details of the agreement were not made public, it was reported by the Daily Mail that he received around £5million. More Trending Lloyds acknowledged causing Noel 'distress' after corrupt staff from the Reading branch were handed jail sentences for the £245m loans scam between 2003 and 2007. Several businesses were destroyed as profits were squandered on prostitutes and luxury holidays. View More » Watch Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure on ITV.

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Get the latest Edinburgh Live breaking news on WhatsApp A young Midlothian man quit school after earning £10,000 a month managing some of the world's biggest online gamers from his bedroom. Ross McLaren, 22, was born with a rare form of muscular dystrophy which left him wheelchair bound. He dreamed of becoming a professional Fortnite player but instead built a six-figure business at the age of 17 while living at home with his parents, Lesley and Craig. Now Ross manages a team of ten and oversees the daily operations of some of the biggest names in online gaming including megastar Fortnite players Clix and Sentinel, reports The Daily Record. He told the Record: "I really wanted to be a pro-Fortnite player but I realised I wasn't good enough. "I got into video editing for professional Fornite players and started working with small gaming streamers for free when I was in school. "By summer 2021 I was making £10,000 per month and I told my parents I didn't want to sit my Advanced Highers. "They had their doubts and asked me to go back to school - but I quit after one day." Ross explained how his disability enabled him to get into the gaming world and hone his craft. He said: "Having muscular dystrophy was somewhat of an advantage for me as it meant I spent a lot more time on a computer when I was younger as I couldn't go out and play sports like other kids." The then-schoolboy began offering his video editing services to small streamers for fun. Just as he was about to give up, Ross struck gold. "I was working with a streamer called Bugha who only had about 20,000 subscribers," he said. "Bugha played in the Fortnite World Cup in 2018 and won $3million. Overnight, his subscriber count hit one million.' Bugha– now with 4.7million YouTube subscribers – stuck with Ross, and business 'spiralled from there'. Ross then caught the eye of another famous Fornite player called Clix who had 3.5 million YouTube subscribers. Following pressure from his parents, Ross went back to George Heriot's School for one day before quitting - and landed one of the biggest opportunities of his career. He was asked to run a gaming channel fronted by UK YouTube icon KSI who boasts more than 22 million subscribers. He now works as a freelancer, and manages content for professionals like Clix and top E-Sports organisation Sentinels, based in Los Angeles. Top Fortnite streamers like Clix earn around £100,000 per month and Ross collects a lucrative commission for producing content. The young entrepreneur now has his sights on relocating to the US to be closer to his star clients. He added: "It's crazy how things have turned out. "My job didn't exist a few years ago - now business is thriving. "I hope to move to Dallas. With Fortnite, the servers are based there and many of the players are. "I'm planning on taking the leap to move to be closer to my clients."
