2026 four-star receiver target to make unofficial visit to Notre Dame

USA Today05-02-2025

As of this writing, Dylan Faison is the only receiver commit for Notre Dame's 2026 recruiting class. While the Irish might not be the frontrunners for 2026 four-star receiver recruit Brody Keefe, he at least has enough interest that he'll see for himself what Notre Dame is about.
Rivals national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman is reporting that Keefe, who hails from Charlotte, North Carolina, will make an unofficial visit to Notre Dame on March 28 and 29. He also has Georgia and Florida on his list for the spring.
It's hard to say exactly which direction Keefe is leaning towards. Rivals has Clemson as the favorite to land him. 247Sports lists both Ohio State and Tennessee as the programs trending most favorably for his services.
Right now, it appears College Football Playoff teams from this past season are most likely to get Keefe. That obviously would be good news for the Irish, who came one game short of winning the whole thing:
Best of luck to the Irish in their pursuit of him.

Golden State coach unearths blueprint for slowing Caitlin Clark

After holding Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark to 11 points on 3-of-14 shooting from the field and 0-of-7 from 3-point territory. In front of a raucous Chase Center crowd, Golden State gave Clark fits on Thursday night. Valkyries head coach Natalie Nakase was asked to share the secret for her team's defensive successes against Clark. "I mean, you guys saw what we're doing. We were being disruptive. We know she doesn't like physicality," Nakase said. "We know she wants to get to that left stepback. I watched her at Iowa. She loves that left stepback, it's almost like a layup for her. So we were just making sure she wasn't getting into rhythm and then that she was seeing multiple bodies." While it's no secret that teams across the league have been trying to apply physical pressure on Clark since she arrived in the league, the challenge of executing such tactics for a full game has rarely been achieved. Golden State's defensive approach will continue to be commonplace against Clark and occasionally could create some of the hostility that erupted during Indiana's June 14 win against the Connecticut Sun. The Fever and Valkyries will meet again on July 9 from Indianapolis where Clark will undoubtedly have plenty of motivation to make amends and to let Golden State witness her scoring abilities in front of a crazed Fever faithful. Class of 2027 California cornerback Joaquim Davis receives offer from Nebraska football

The Nebraska Cornhuskers offered a class of 2027 California defensive back last week. Joaquim Davis of Etiwanda High in Riverside County announced Thursday that he's received an offer from the Huskers. This is Davis's second college offer. He announced Tuesday that he received an offer from San Diego State. He is listed at 6 feet, 160 pounds, and is coming off a solid sophomore season. The Rancho Cucamonga, California native played his sophomore year of high school at Ontario Christian, only taking action in six games due to injury. Despite this, he finished the year with 24 tackles, three interceptions and four pass breakups. He helped the Knights to a 6-5 season before the team lost the first round of the CIL Southern Section Division 6 Playoffs. Davis remains unranked for now but enters his junior season at Etiwanda. Podcast predicts MSU's Aidan Chiles to be top 20 QB nationally this season

One well-known college football podcast is expecting big things from Michigan State's signal caller this upcoming season. The official X account for the College Football with Sam podcast recently posted that they anticipate a big season for Spartans quarterback Aidan Chiles. The account made the strong statement that Chiles will be a "top 20 quarter back in college football" this upcoming season. The post from College Football with Sam noted "having a much healthier and deep offensive line" paired with a "lethal" receiving unit will play a big role in Chiles' growth this year. Chiles -- who is entering his second season as the Spartans' starter -- will look for more consistency from last year. Chiles finished the season with 2,415 passing yards, 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions with a completion percentage of 59.4%. His 11 interceptions led the Big Ten last year, but eight of those came in the first six games compared to only three in the second half of the year. Michigan State opens the 2025 season on August 29 against Western Michigan. The game is set to kickoff at 7 p.m. ET from Spartan Stadium and will be televised on FS1.
