Briscoe has good reason to fight Moxley, more matches added to Fyter Fest
AEW is serving a 'free PPV' in Fyter Fest on Wednesday, June 4 from Denver, CO. The special will act as a four-hour block of Dynamite and Collision airing all in the same night. The card is coming together quickly with Jon Moxley in a non-title bout, Toni Storm in tag team action, Kenny Omega in a four-way championship defense, and more.
Moxley has a fight for Fyter Fest. Mark Briscoe called that scallywag out. Briscoe was choked unconscious by Moxley in the recent six-man tag. When Briscoe went back home, his young son asked if daddy quit. Briscoe will never quit. Now, his kids are doubting him. Briscoe challenged Moxley to a match. This isn't about the AEW world title. This is about erasing those doubts in the eyes of his kids by kicking Mox's ass.

With Grand Slam Mexico coming soon, FTR have their eyes on the CMLL World Tag Team Championship. Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler plan to use Atlantis Jr. and Templario as a warm-up.

Tommy Dreamer Compares Recent WWE Signing To Joining The New York Yankees
Recently, WWE signed one of the hottest free agents in town. It was none other than former AEW Women's World Champion Mariah May. The Glamor now goes by the name Blake Monroe in NXT. Following her appearance on the Tuesday Night show, former WWE Hardcore Champion Tommy Dreamer compared her arrival on NXT to a baseball player getting signed by the New York Yankees. While speaking on the latest episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast, Tommy Dreamer shared why professional wrestlers want to sign with WWE. He also compared the signing to athletes wanting to join legendary sports teams such as the New York Yankees. Advertisement 'I think there are those … established franchises that, like in any sport — 'Oh, I want to be a Yankee.' Why? Because they're the oldest, they've been around, it's the 'Pride of the Yankees. They've always been glamorized as the 'it' team.' [H/T WrestlingINC.] Dreamer also mentioned that while both All Elite Wrestling and WWE are airing Live on National Television, professional wrestlers want to compete in a WWE ring. 'They're both on national television, but to become a global WWE superstar is what a lot of men and women aspire to be. It's the allure of what WWE can do for you for the rest of your life,' Tommy Dreamer said. [H/T WrestlingINC.] Advertisement Blake Monroe officially signed her NXT contract last night on NXT. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A recently released WWE star has commented on AEW running a show in his hometown, sparking conversation about his next move. The star in question is Joe Coffey, formerly of NXT's Gallus faction. AEW is scheduled to hold an episode of Dynamite in Glasgow, Scotland, in August. The event will take place at the OVO Hydro arena. Joe Coffey on AEW's Glasgow Show On a recent episode of the "Reffin' It Up" podcast (transcript from Fightful), Joe Coffey noted the significance of the upcoming AEW event. He pointed out that it is taking place in his hometown and in a familiar venue. "AEW have a show in my hometown in Glasgow on August 20th, which is very interesting," Coffey said. "And The Hydro, the same arena that ICW ran so, that's very interesting..." WWE Release and Scrapped Plans Joe Coffey, along with his Gallus stablemates Mark Coffey and Wolfgang, was released from his WWE contract on May 2, 2025. Following his release, Coffey revealed there had been discussions about Gallus moving to the main roster. The plan would have seen them working alongside fellow countryman Drew McIntyre. Joe Coffey's Current Status Despite the potential interest in the AEW Glasgow show, Coffey's immediate future has a significant hurdle. He has recently stated that he is "landlocked" in the United States. His work visa was tied to his WWE contract, complicating his ability to travel and wrestle internationally for now. Coffey first appeared in WWE during an NXT event at the Download Festival in 2018. He, his brother Mark, and Wolfgang officially formed Gallus on the January 9, 2019, episode of NXT UK. WWE broke into the United Kingdom wrestling scene, NXT UK, began with a championship tournament in January 2017, won by Tyler Bate. The brand officially launched its weekly show in October 2018, establishing a platform for European talent. NXT UK featured its own set of championships, including the prestigious United Kingdom Championship, famously held by GUNTHER (then WALTER) for a record 870 days. The brand developed future main roster stars like Rhea Ripley and Pete Dunne. In September 2022, the brand held its final event, Worlds Collide, unifying its titles with the NXT championships before going on hiatus. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.

WWE legend makes bold Blake Monroe prediction after NXT arrival
Blake Monroe made her WWE debut earlier this month for the NXT brand as the company continued its tear of free-agent signings, shaking up the pro wrestling landscape. Monroe, who was formerly known as Mariah May, made a name for herself in Stardom and was a women's champion at All Elite Wrestling and ended her time there after an epic feud with Toni Storm. Now, she has her sights on NXT women's champion Jacy Jayne and the rest of the Fatal Influence faction, hoping to add another accolade to her already impressive resume. Pro wrestling legend Bubba Ray Dudley told Fox News Digital in a recent interview that Monroe maximized her potential in her previous role and that coming to WWE was the right move. "Blake Monroe has caught my eye, caught my intention over the last couple of years, for the body of work she was involved with in another company," he said. "She did a phenomenal job and maxed out her potential there. I don't think Blake Monroe could have gotten better at where she was, I don't think there was enough talent that was better than her for her to work up to. "I don't know if there was enough minds that could have worked with Blake Monroe to have her be the sports entertainer she could be. I didn't use the word pro wrestler I used sports entertainer because when you look at Blake Monroe's body of work the last couple of years its more sports entertainer than pro wrestler to me and at the end of the day it's world wrestling entertainment." Dudley expressed optimism that Monroe would be a "big star" in WWE moving forward. "So, I think Blake Monroe coming into NXT was a very smart move on her behalf, working with all this new talent I believe working with Shawn Michaels and working with all the talented creative people he has under him and the producers," he said. "Blake is truly going to shine in the system. And I think she will go on and be a big star in the WWE." Monroe had her "contract signing" on NXT this past Tuesday and told the audience that her "dream" was to always come to WWE – something she has posted about on social media continuously as she began her pro wrestling journey. It is unclear when her first official match will be, but Jayne gave Monroe her welcome to NXT moment when she put Monroe through a table.
