Karrion Kross Hopes Multi-Time AEW Champion Returns To WWE One Day
Karrion Kross wants to see a multi-time AEW Champion make his way back to WWE. WWE superstar Karrion Kross recently appeared on Battleground Podcast to talk about his former gimmick and WrestleMania promo among other things. During the conversation, the hosts asked Kross about AEW World Champion Jon Moxley. Advertisement 'Jon's a former WWE champion,' he said. 'He's competed and performed with some of the best people in the world. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, The Shield. I didn't know him. I put out a promo attempting to pique intrigue to see if that's a match people wanted. They wanted it. He didn't know me. I didn't know him.' Karrion Kross reveals Jon Moxley complimented his work 'I really wanted to work with him as soon as I found out that he wasn't signed, and he showed up. We didn't know each other. We worked, and then as soon as we got backstage, it feels weird talking about somebody else giving you compliments about your work. It is. But he was very complimentary, and that's where that conversation began and not to stir the pot, but I just, I want Jon to be happy wherever he is. 'I do hope one day. I do hope one day that he does come back to WWE because I think it would be insane. I think it would be insane, and I would love to compete with him here. I would love to compete with him here so we can finish what we started. That's what I will say.' [H/T Fightful] Advertisement Though the pair didn't meet in a WWE ring, Karrion Kross and Jon Moxley did cross paths at FSW Natural Born Killers on July 5, 2019, a month after Moxley's AEW in-ring debut against Joey Janela at the promotion's inaugural Fyter Fest event. Mercedes Moné Ruins A Steak On AEW Dynamite
Mercedes Moné found the $2 steak that Jim Ross was always talking about. This week's episode of AEW Dynamite was a special night for multiple reasons. AEW ran a double broadcast, branding Dynamite and Collision as a four-hour show under the 'Fyter Fest' name. Mercedes Moné also had a special seat for the show, as she brought her own table to the ringside area. She did commentary and dined on steak and wine during the Mina Shirakawa and 'Timeless' Toni Storm vs. Julia Hart and Skye Blue match. Advertisement Seeing a wrestler eat a meal during a match was a great segment. However, fans are still going wild over one other key aspect: Mercedes Moné's steak was way overcooked. See for yourself: Mercedes later admitted that she likes her steaks well-done… Public shaming isn't always the most appropriate course of action, but if you need a reason, this is it! Steaks are supposed to be red, or maybe pink if you ask for medium or medium-well. That thing is BROWN! It is so overcooked that it looks like leather, or if you cut open a tree trunk to count the rings. This steak was cooked longer than Moné's TBS Championship has lasted. Advertisement We're not the only ones who noticed either: Credit goes to 'Timeless' Toni Storm, who somehow managed to take a bite out of the steak without chipping a tooth or hurting her jaw. Moné will challenge Storm for the AEW Women's World Championship at All In: Texas on July 12. Catch up on everything that went down at AEW's four-hour Fyter Fest broadcast here. Huge Matches Signed For AEW Summer Blockbuster
AEW Summer Blockbuster is going to be a big one, with two matches already confirmed for the event. During Wednesday's episode of AEW's Fyter Fest, Will Ospreay took to the ring alongside Tony Schiavone. He said he regrets trying to pair up Adam Page and Swerve Strickland, and has since adjusted his focus. In a surprising moment, Ospreay then challenged Strickland to a singles match at the upcoming TV special. The match was later confirmed by the show. Ospreay and Strickland met each other in the ring at last year's Forbidden Door pay-per-view in an instant classic. In that match, Strickland walked out the winner, something Ospreay hopes to change this time around. Advertisement Elsewhere in the show, it was also confirmed that The Hurt Syndicate would take on Speedball Bailey, Komander, and Kevin Knight in a trios match during the show. AEW Summer Blockbuster is set to take place on June 11, 2025, and will be held at the Theater of the Clouds at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.
