Margaret Cho reveals Ellen DeGeneres was 'not nice' to her, Entertainment News

Margaret Cho has slammed Ellen DeGeneres for being "not nice" to her.
The 56-year-old comic first crossed paths with the former talk show host on the stand-up circuit in the 1980s, so she has always found it "really weird" that Ellen would pretend they had never met when she appeared on her eponymous daytime programme.
Speaking on The Kelly Mantle Show, Margaret said: "Ellen was really weird and not nice to me for most of my career.
"I opened for her in the 1980s, when she was a headliner in comedy clubs. Later, when I would do her talk show in the 2000s, she would act like we just met.
"And I'm like, 'B****, what?' That's weird. We go way back. It's so creepy and weird."
Margaret will never forget one particular incident when, after she had attended a David Bowie concert in a "Chinese emperor outfit", David — who died in January 2016 — praised the elaborate costume during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show the following day, but his remarks were edited out of the final broadcast.
She said: "It made me so mad.
"The producer, who was a really good friend of mine, had to call and tell me, 'I can't believe she did this but she cut it out of the show. But you need to know that he was going on and on about your outfit! God said your name.'
"[It's] so rude! I don't know if it was personal, maybe it was [cut] for time. But still, I'm going to take it personally just because I decided to."
Margaret isn't the only comic to have criticised Ellen because Rosie O'Donnell recently admitted there is still unresolved "stuff" between herself and Ellen — who she previously accused of pretending she didn't know who she was — but insisted she doesn't bear any "malice" towards her.
Rosie told Us Weekly magazine: "I don't want to fight against another gay woman. It's not like we're tenaciously opposed to each other. We're just very different people.
"We have had some stuff in the past that we never resolved. And not in any way as partners or lovers or anything like that, just as friends and comedians, but I wish her the best. I seriously do."

Edison Chen's management clarifies actor's heated exchange with flight attendant

Actor Edison Chen was left confused after realising that both him and the other passenger held the same Diamond status, said his management. PHOTO: EDISONCHEN/INSTAGRAM Hong Kong artiste Edison Chen has found himself facing unwanted publicity after reports emerged that he was involved in an alleged dispute with a flight attendant during a recent commercial flight from Tokyo to New York. According to Hong Kong entertainment site Dimsum Daily, the incident reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over disembarkation procedures, with the 44-year-old star allegedly telling the crew member: 'Bring your complaint letter. I will get you fired.' Chen's management, however, has since clarified the matter, explaining that after the plane had landed, the Infernal Affairs (2002) actor was retrieving his luggage when a passenger behind him began moving forward. Chen reportedly said politely: 'Could I please finish collecting my belongings first?' According to his management, a flight attendant then intervened, saying that the other passenger could disembark first as he held the airline's Diamond status. Chen, who is said to hold the same status, was left confused, prompting the misunderstanding. Chen was previously embroiled in a sex scandal in 2008 after photos of him engaging in intimate acts with Hong Kong artistes such as Cecilia Cheung and Gillian Chung were leaked online. The scandal resulted in him leaving the entertainment industry for 16 years, before he returned to perform as part of the music group 3Cornerz at pop culture carnival ComplexCon Hong Kong in 2024. Chen has been married to Chinese supermodel Qin Shupei since 2007, and they have an eight-year-old daughter Alaia. His management added that Chen is currently in communication with the airline to resolve the matter. ‘I will get you fired': Edison Chen's alleged threat to Japan Airlines attendant

Hong Kong star Edison Chen had reportedly told a flight attendant that he would make her lose her job. PHOTO: EDISONCHEN/INSTAGRAM 'I will get you fired': Edison Chen's alleged threat to Japan Airlines attendant Hong Kong artiste Edison Chen allegedly threatened to make a flight attendant lose her job while on a flight between Tokyo and New York on June 1. On the Japan Airlines (JAL) flight, the attendant had reportedly allowed another Japanese passenger to disembark before Chen, leading him to retort: 'Why do you want me to move for this man while I'm getting my bag? Because he's a VIP. I'm sorry, can you read (the boarding pass) again? Tell me what that says. Well, is there something about diamond (class)?' According to a Xiaohongshu user who uploaded his account of the incident on social media, Chen was retrieving his baggage from the overhead compartment when passengers hurried him forward. The female flight attendant then reportedly told Chen that the Japanese passenger was a 'JMB Diamond member' who would be entitled to priority disembarkation, ahead of him. JMB Diamond, which Chen also holds, is the highest membership tier in JAL's FLY ON programme. The Dead Or Alive 2: Birds (2000) actor reportedly demanded a complaint form and said that he would make sure the flight attendant loses her job. Hong Kong online media Dimsum Daily reported that Chen's manager is currently in talks with Chen and JAL to address the incident.
