Inter Milan Could Cash In – Lazio To Target Italy U21 Star If They Can Offload Two Midfielders
Inter Milan could cash in, as Lazio will go after midfielder Giovanni Fabbian if they're able to offload Danilo Cataldi and Toma Basic.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908.

Giovanni Fabbian has come to the end of his second season at Bologna.
The Italy Under-21 international joined the Rossoblu from Inter in the summer of 2023. And the Nerazzurri did not just loan him to the Emilian club – they sold him outright.
However, as part of the deal, there is a buyback option in favour of Inter.
And that clause becomes active this summer. Inter can sign Fabbian back for a fee of €12 million starting at the end of next month.

The big question then would be whether Inter will be able to sell Fabbian should they buy the midfielder back.

And according to Sky Sport Italia, the 22-year-old is a target for Lazio.
The Biancocelesti are looking to revamp their midfield for the returning Maurizio Sarri.
However, Sky report, Lazio will have to get rid of a couple midfielders before they can sign anyone new in the positions.
Firstly, Danilo Cataldi is back following the end of his loan at Fiorentina. And secondly, Sky note, there is also midfielder Toma Basic – despite being on the fringes, the Croat is still on their books.

The Istanbul giants could aim to convince the former AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder on the move initially. Then approach Inter formally. Cristian Chivu Stresses ‘Everyone Has To Be Involved' Ahead Of Inter Milan Vs Urawa Red Diamonds FIFA Club World Cup Clash

Cristian Chivu Stresses 'Everyone Has To Be Involved' Ahead Of Inter Milan Vs Urawa Red Diamonds FIFA Club World Cup Clash Cristian Chivu feels that 'everyone has to be involved' for Inter Milan in this evening's FIFA Club World Cup clash with Urawa Red Diamonds. The Romanian spoke to Italian broadcaster DAZN, via FCInterNews, ahead of the group stage clash. Advertisement Inter Milan take on Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds this evening. This will be the Nerazzurri's second match of the Club World Cup group stage match. They drew 1-1 with Mexican team Monterrey in their first. That opening day draw has left Inter with a lot of work to do over their remaining two group stage matches. After today, they will take on Argentine giants River Plate in their final group match. A win against Urawa Reds this evening would certainly see Inter Milan take a big step towards the knockout rounds. However, if the Nerazzurri are to draw – or worse, lose – then they would be teetering on the edge of an early elimination from the tournament. Chivu: 'Everyone Has To Be Involved' For Inter Milan Vs Urawa Red Diamonds PARMA, ITALY – MAY 18: Cristian Chivu head coach of Parma calcio during the Serie A match between Parma and Napoli at Stadio Ennio Tardini on May 18, 2025 in Parma, Italy. 'So some changes need to be made. Also for the match plan.' Chivu made clear that 'everyone has to be involved.' 'Because they're a healthy part of this group. They have quality, and belong in this team.' Meanwhile, Chivu revealed what the formation will be for Inter. 'There will be two attacking midfielders playing behind one striker,' he said. 'We can also have three by having Barella step up, depending on the moment in the match and the approach that the opponent has.' 'It will probable be a more attacking decision,' said the Inter coach. 'We want to have more width, some attacks between the lines, and superiority in midfield.' Chivu made clear that 'we can't give them time and space, so they can't cause us problems with the pace that they have.'
