Each week, we quiz a prominent person about their style and the inspiration behind it. Ahead, Romance Was Born co-founder Anna Plunkett.
How would you describe your style? It's eclectic. I start with one thing I want to wear and work from that. I have a rule to wear one Romance [Was Born] thing a day. I love wearing colour and print, putting combinations together and mixing everything up.
What's the oldest thing in your wardrobe? My nanna's engagement ring from the '40s. I wear it with rings of my mum's and auntie's. I'm sentimental; I love putting them on every day.
And the most recent addition? A 1980s cropped black brocade jacket that Luke [Sales, Romance Was Born co-founder] gave me for Christmas.
What would you wear … on a first date? A dress with an '80s YSL pump and vintage jewellery. …on a plane? I like to wear baggy, comfy, stretchy things. Luke laughs at me because sometimes I'll wear a black tulle fairy-looking dress. It's probably a bit dramatic, but it's oversized and cosy. … on the red carpet? I wear something from the new season and make a bit of a statement – it's what our brand does best. I'm a shy person, but I love dressing up – it makes me feel more confident. I'll wear hand-painted Giuseppe Zanotti pumps, or a satin pair from our collaboration with Ken Done and LMS.
What's your favourite fashion era? I love 1980s Christian Lacroix. It was a fun moment when people didn't hold back – the high-voltage colour, the big shoulders with small hemlines.
Any other designers you love? Jenny Kee and Linda Jackson. I have a massive collection of knits from Jenny and some of my favourite pieces are from Linda, including a red strapless taffeta dress. For my last birthday, Jenny gave me a Vivienne Westwood piece from the '80s.
What's your fragrance of choice? I wear Chanel Les Exclusifs 'Sycomore'. And I like the Maison Margiela 'Replica' perfumes – my boyfriend recently gave me 'When the Rain Stops'. He said it reminded him of me.

Anna Camp, 42, and new girlfriend, 24, make red carpet debut with steamy PDA outing

Anna Camp and her girlfriend, Jade Whipkey, made their red carpet debut a month after confirming their romance with a steamy PDA-filled outing. The Pitch Perfect actress, 42, and the writer, 24, hit the Los Angeles premiere of Bride Hard at the DGA Theatre Complex Wednesday. The couple posed for pictures together on the red carpet, smiling as they sweetly looked into each other's eyes. Camp had her arm around Whipkey as they smiled for photographers. The You alum stunned in a floor-length sequined teal gown, while her girlfriend rocked a grey suit. Their red carpet appearance comes a month after they were seen passionately making out while out in LA. In the photos, Whipkey kissed Camp's cheek and lovingly gave a peck to the actress' hand. The on-set stylist also pulled Camp in by the waist for a tight embrace as the former True Blood star grabbed Whipkey's face for a smooch. A week before the steamy make-out session, Camp revealed that she was dating a woman by soft launching their romance on Instagram. At the time, Camp reposted an image from Whipkey's Instagram Stories of herself sitting at a restaurant table as she looked into the distance. 'Her smile is a poem, her eyes are roses, her laugh is music for dancing,' Whipkey wrote atop the photo. Camp's romance with Whipkey came six years after she and her second ex-husband, Skylar Astin, called it quits after nearly three years of marriage. 'We can confirm that we have decided to separate, and this decision was made mutually and amicably,' Camp's rep told Page Six in 2019. 'We kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this transition.' The following year after the divorce, Camp began dating drummer Michael Johnson.

‘Penetration': Barbra Streisand's wild celeb confession

Barbra Streisand had a wild answer when pressed on whether she and her longtime pal Warren Beatty ever slept together during their rumoured fling in the '70s. The A Star Is Born actress and singer, 83, opened up about the NSFW matter during an interview with The New Yorker published recently, while discussing a similar anecdote she shared in her 2023 tell-all My Name Is Barbra. 'I know I slept in the bed with him, but I can't remember if we actually had penetration,' she claimed, per the New York Post. 'I swear to God, I can't. There are certain things I block out.' However, Streisand quickly moved away from the topic when the interviewer pressed her further about whether or not she ever slept with the Dick Tracy star, 88. 'But I know we're still friends,' she said, changing the subject. 'Every year on my birthday, he calls me and we have a wonderful talk about our lives, our children, and so forth.' 'So we're still friends,' Streisand added. 'I met him when I was fifteen years old, and he was twenty-one, I think.' In My Name Is Barbra, the star recalled first meeting Beatty at the Clinton Playhouse in Connecticut when she was 16 and he was 21. She described Beatty as 'tall with movie-star looks' and wrote that 'women were already falling at his feet.' Streisand also wrote about an interview she gave Playboy in 1977 in which the reporter asked whether she was ever 'romantically linked' with the Bonnie and Clyde actor. 'I said blithely, 'One of my flings,'' she responded, according to her memoir. 'I was just tossing off a reply, playing the role of a jaded woman of the world.' Still, while Streisand and Beatty 'go back a long way,' she also admitted that there is 'some water under that bridge.' 'Recently, we were on the phone talking politics and who knows what else when he said, 'I remember why we broke up,'' Streisand wrote. 'I said, 'When were we together?'' After hanging up the phone and asking herself if she and Beatty ever slept together, Streisand admitted that they 'probably' did. 'I kind of remember. I guess I did,' she wrote. 'Probably once.' Whether they slept together or not, Streisand and Beatty have remained 'friends for life' since first meeting in Connecticut almost 70 years ago. They also each ended up with the loves of their lives, because Streisand went on to marry actor James Brolin, 84, in 1998, while Beatty married actress Annette Bening, 67, in 1992. Brolin recently opened up about the secret to his and the Way We Were singer's nearly 30-year marriage. 'The best investment we've ever made is our mattress,' he told the US Today show in April. 'And don't misunderstand me,' Brolin added. 'We're both lazy. We love to sleep late. We do a lot of our work on the phone, on paper, reading, right next to each other.'

Kristen Doute gives birth

Kristen Doute has given birth to a baby girl. The Valley star and her fiance Luke Brodrick welcomed daughter Kaia Lily into the world on 11 June and Kristen couldn't be happier, despite the lack of sleep she's already experienced. She told Us Weekly magazine: 'She's here, and we still can't believe it. Luke is even hotter as a dad, and I just feel so lucky. 'And even though I haven't slept or showered in two days, seeing our daughter and finally being able to hold her makes it all worth it. We're completely overwhelmed with love and so grateful for her—our lives are already changed completely.' The couple chose Kaia's name, which is Hawaiian for "the sea", because of their love of the state where they got engaged. Kristen explained: 'We knew we wanted our baby name to have something to do, or revolve around, water. 'Lillies are my favourite flower. They're associated with new beginnings, beauty, and also the name Lily indicates a 'gentle and compassionate nature, suggesting a kind and caring personality.'' Kristen admitted in April she and Luke had already chosen a name for their baby. She told Extra: "She is named." But Luke added: "We're not telling you." Kristen suffered a miscarriage in 2023, and she appreciated the support she subsequently received from her fans. She previously said: "It's been a really wonderful community of women out there who I know have really appreciated me coming out and saying that, as much as I felt really secure in coming out and talking about it because of those women. "This is what I love about being on a reality show, a docuseries, what I love about the good things about social media, is that you are able to find these people that help rally around you, so it makes it a lot easier when you have people to talk to. "And obviously, like, surprise! We did conceive, it worked, so that's also really exciting." Kristen announced her pregnancy in November, revealing that they started trying for a baby at the start of 2024 and had sought the advice of a fertility specialist. She told People magazine: "In late summer, we decided to meet with a fertility specialist to learn about our options and what could be the next step if we decided to go that route. The next month was a whirlwind - getting educated on fertility, and eventually hormone shots and preparing my body for IUI (intrauterine insemination)."
