Ashlesha Sawant and Sumeet Sachdev
Sumeet Sachdev and
Ashlesha Sawant
, who played a couple in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (2002), are reuniting after 23 years — this time in the show Jhanak. While it's been over two decades since they last worked together, Sumeet and Ashlesha say it doesn't feel like a long gap, as their friendship has remained intact over the years.
Ashlesha says, 'Sumeet is still the same — a thorough gentleman who speaks like a British English professor, using these big, fancy words. Back in Kyunki..., he would tease me with his vocabulary, assuming I wouldn't understand (laughs).'
Sumeet shares, 'As a professional Scrabble player, big words are second nature to me. That's where our little inside joke began — and clearly, it's still going strong! We had great chemistry in Kyunki...
and now in Jhanak, we play a divorced couple bound by their grown-up daughter, so it's a very layered and interesting dynamic.'
In Jhanak now post the leap, Sumeet takes over the role of Aniruddh, previously played by Krushal Ahuja, while Ashlesha steps in as Arshi, a role earlier portrayed by Chandni Sharma.
Riya Sharma
and
Arjit Taneja
are playing the lead roles now after the leap. In the current track, Arjit's character has reached Jhanak's (Riya Sharma) village and he is bullied by villagers because Jhanak had to spend the night with him at his guest house due to rains and she could not go home. The villagers now want him to get married to Jhanak and take her to Kolkata. Jhanak's life is in danger and she tries to fight the situation.

Puja Sharma and Ashish Dixit on the healing power of Yoga and Music

On the occasion of International Yoga Day and World Music Day, television actors Puja Sharma and Ashish Dixit share how yoga and music help them stay grounded amidst their demanding shoot schedules — offering moments of calm, clarity, and joy. Puja Sharma, who plays Kanka in Jhanak, is working toward building a more consistent yoga practice and believes even 3–4 days a week can bring a real shift — physically, mentally, and emotionally. 'I truly want to make yoga a more permanent part of my lifestyle because I've seen how even a little bit can create balance,' she shares. Music, too, is an essential part of her daily rhythm. 'I start my mornings with chants and meditation music to feel centered, and before stepping out, I dance to a high-energy Punjabi song to uplift my vibe! After a long day on set, soothing music — be it AR Rahman, Indian classical, ghazals, or 90s Bollywood — helps me unwind and reconnect with myself. Music is my therapy — a silent friend that's always there.' For Ashish Dixit, the lead in Pati Brahmachari, yoga is a way to reset during packed days on set. 'Yoga helps me find moments of stillness in a hectic routine. Even on busy shoot days, I try to fit in short stretches or breathing exercises between scenes. It calms my nerves and helps me approach every shot with more focus.' When it comes to music, his choices are rooted in emotion. 'I often listen to soft instrumental tracks or soulful Sufi music on my way to the set — it puts me in the right frame of mind. And after a long day, nothing beats old Hindi classics to help me unwind.' For both actors, yoga and music are more than wellness trends — they're essential tools for emotional balance and self-connection. Can you laugh like these TV celebs?

Kumkum Meets Kyunki: Juhi Parmar channels her inner Tulsi, as she gives a glimpse of her Dubai tour on the title track, says 'it gives all goosebumps'

The iconic television show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, which once ruled the Indian TV landscape and became a staple in households across the country, is all set to make a grand comeback with Season 2. And what's got everyone talking? The original stars Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay are reprising their much-loved roles as Tulsi and Mihir. The news of the show's return has created a wave of excitement among netizens who grew up watching the emotional rollercoaster of the Virani family. Social media has been abuzz with fan theories, nostalgic throwbacks, and memes celebrating the comeback of what was once the most-watched show on Indian television. But it's not just the audience that's feeling nostalgic. Actress Juhi Parmar , who became a household name with her show Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, also jumped on the Kyunki wave. During a recent trip to Dubai, she posted a fun and nostalgic video on Instagram where she toured a location in full "Tulsi style," with the original Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi title track playing in the background. Juhi captioned the post, 'Nostalgia has always been a flavour I have loved and with it this time, here's a fun take on the song that used to chime in every household at 10:30 PM! I know most of us are excited to see the show coming back, and with it here, I am giving you a fun Dubai glimpse on the track that gives us all goosebumps and takes us down memory lane. And yes, the queen of television @ektarkapoor along with @smritiiraniofficial coming back, what else could Indian Television Lovers ask for… wishing the entire team best of luck…. .#KumkumMeetsKyunki.' The video struck a chord with fans, blending two nostalgic worlds – Kumkum and Kyunki – and proving that the magic of Indian daily soaps from the early 2000s is still very much alive in viewers' hearts. With Ekta Kapoor once again at the helm and Smriti Irani returning to the small screen after years, expectations are high. And if the fan response is anything to go by, Kyunki 2.0 is already a hit, even before it hits the airwaves.
