Michigan State football releases ticket information for Ford Field showdown with Maryland
Michigan State football will be returning to Ford Field for the 2025 season finale against Maryland. This will be the Spartans third time playing inside of Ford Field, and will be a similar setup to the Spartans season finale in 2023 against Penn State.
A game on Thanksgiving weekend at Ford Field is a unique opportunity for the fanbase, allowing the metro Detroit portion of the fan base to have a local opportunity to catch a game, all while avoiding the potential for a poorly attended game at Spartan Stadium in gross weather.

While the Nov. 29 game is a long ways away, fans are learning what the ticket information for the game is going to be, and how they can obtain tickets for the Spartans and Terrapins showdown.
Per the Michigan State athletics press release: "From June 2-23, a presale to buy up to eight tickets will be available to Spartan Fund members and football season ticket holders in Spartan Fund donor priority order. Tickets will begin at $49. Presale purchases will require a one-time use promo code provided by the Spartan Ticket Office via email that will be sent on the donor level on-sale date."
General admission tickets will begin being sold on June 24.

One well-known college football podcast is expecting big things from Michigan State's signal caller this upcoming season. The official X account for the College Football with Sam podcast recently posted that they anticipate a big season for Spartans quarterback Aidan Chiles. The account made the strong statement that Chiles will be a "top 20 quarter back in college football" this upcoming season. The post from College Football with Sam noted "having a much healthier and deep offensive line" paired with a "lethal" receiving unit will play a big role in Chiles' growth this year. Chiles -- who is entering his second season as the Spartans' starter -- will look for more consistency from last year. Chiles finished the season with 2,415 passing yards, 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions with a completion percentage of 59.4%. His 11 interceptions led the Big Ten last year, but eight of those came in the first six games compared to only three in the second half of the year. Michigan State opens the 2025 season on August 29 against Western Michigan. The game is set to kickoff at 7 p.m. ET from Spartan Stadium and will be televised on FS1. 2026 defensive back commits to Tennessee football over Big Ten school
Tennessee received a football commitment for its 2026 recruiting class. Three-star defensive back KJ McClain committed to the Vols over Michigan State. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound prospect is from St. Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, New Jersey. 247Sports ranks McClain as the No. 47 safety in 2026 and No. 10 player in New Jersey. Advertisement Tennessee offered McClain a scholarship Dec. 12, 2024. He unofficially visited Tennessee for a practice on March 29 and officially visited the Vols on June 6. According to 247Sports, McClain is scheduled to officially visit Michigan State on Friday. He was offered a scholarship from the Spartans on Feb. 10. Tennessee has nine commitments in its 2026 football recruiting class. The other eight commitments include: quarterback Faizon Brandon, wide receiver Tyreek King, tight end Carson Sneed, offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda, wide receiver Tyran Evans, linebacker Braylon Outlaw, defensive lineman C.J. The Michigan State basketball team received some bad news on Wednesday as top transfer Kaleb Glenn is going to miss the entire 2025-26 season. Glenn was a big addition to this Spartans squad, but a torn patellar tendon is going to keep him on the sidelines next season. Glenn started his college basketball career in 2023 at Louisville, and then he transferred to FAU for the 2024-25 season. He was back in the college basketball transfer portal this offseason, and he landed with Tom Izzo and Michigan State. Advertisement 'Michigan State forward Kaleb Glenn has suffered a torn patellar tendon and will miss the entire season, he told @On3sports,' Joe Tipton said in a post. 'The plan is for the transfer from Florida Atlantic to redshirt this upcoming season. Averaged 12.6 points and 4.8 rebounds per game at FAU.' This is obviously a major disappointment for the Michigan State basketball team as Kalen Glenn was expected to have a big role next season. Tom Izzo doesn't like to take a ton of players from the transfer portal, but Glenn is one that he saw a lot of potential in. Unfortunately, he will have to wait another year before he makes his debut with the Spartans. Glenn is a four-star transfer portal prospect, according to 247Sports. He is the #81 transfer portal player and the #15 small forward. Glenn got a lot of attention from top teams in the country, and Michigan State did enough to secure a commitment. 'Kaleb Glenn is a 6-foot-7 off-ball wing who shot 40% from downtown on 3.3 attempts per game,' Glenn's transfer scouting report reads. 'Down the stretch, he looked like the best player on a deep Florida Atlantic club. He's an awesome offensive rebounder for a wing, and Glenn is a heady cutter who keeps defenses honest. Glenn is a serviceable defender who should be a rock-solid 3-and-D guy for Tom Izzo at Michigan State.' Advertisement Glenn got a decent amount of playing time as a freshman at Louisville as he appeared in 32 games and started in 11. He averaged 14.9 minutes per game, 3.9 points per game and 3.6 rebounds per game, and then he decided that it was in his best interest to hit the transfer portal. Last season at FAU was a strong one for Glenn. He appeared in 34 games, typically coming off the bench. He ended the year averaging 12.6 PPG and 4.8 RPG. His 41% mark from three is one of his most attractive statistics. Tom Izzo and the Michigan State basketball team are getting a good one, but it is unfortunately going to happen later than expected. Hopefully Kalen Glenn can make a speedy recovery and come back strong in 2026.
