Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Ant-Man Star Join Will Ferrell & Zac Efron Comedy Movie
Amazon MGM Studios has welcomed two more cast members to join its upcoming Will Ferrell and Zac Efron comedy movie. The untitled project will see Ferrell playing a TV judge, while Efron portrays a young ex-convict. This marks Efron's latest project with Amazon MGM Studios after starring in last year's Ricky Stanicky with John Cena.
'The story follows a young convict fresh out of prison who takes a reality TV courtroom hostage blaming the megalomaniac TV judge for a past ruling that the convict feels ruined his life,' reads the synopsis.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Baywatch, Citadel) and Michael Peña (Ant-Man) have been tapped to join the upcoming comedy, which will also star previously announced cast members Regina Hall (Scary Movie, Girls Trip) and Jimmy Tatro (American Vandal). Further details about their characters are still under wraps.
The untitled movie will be written and directed by Forgetting Sarah Marshall filmmaker Nicholas Stoller, who has already collaborated with Ferrell and Efron in the You're Cordially Invited movie and Neighbors film franchise, respectively. It will also be produced by Stoller for Stoller Global Solutions and Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, and Alex Brown for Gloria Sanchez Productions.
Besides the Ferrell and Efron movie, Chopra Jonas has two more collaborations with Amazon MGM Studios. She is still set to reprise her role as Nadia Sinh in the upcoming next installment of the spy series Citadel. In addition, she will also star alongside Jack Quaid, Carla Gugino, and Idris Elba in the studio's upcoming action thriller Heads of State. As for Peña, he was most recently seen in Jason Statham's newest action movie A Working Man. He will next be seen in the sci-fi adventure drama Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die with Sam Rockwell and Juno Temple.

‘Spider-Man' and ‘One Life to Live' star Jack Betts dead at 96
Jack Betts has passed away at 96 years old. The actor starred on the soap opera 'One Life to Live' from 1979 to 1985, appearing in 20 episodes as Llanview Hospital's Dr. Ivan Kipling. But Betts didn't get the same credit as a certain fellow western star did. 'In the hotel next to mine was Clint Eastwood,' he recounted in a 2021 interview. 'He'd go up to his mountain and do his Western and I'd go up to my mountain and do my Western. But while his films had distribution all over the world, my films were distributed [everywhere] except Canada and America.' Jon Bernthal reported to join Tom Holland in upcoming 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'
Jon Bernthal could be set to return as the Punisher in "Spider‑Man: Brand New Day," the next installment in the Sony/Marvel Spider‑Man franchise, according to " The Hollywood Reporter." Directed by Shang‑Chi filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton, the film is scheduled to begin production in England this summer and is set for release on July 31, 2026, Sony announced via Instagram back in March. Bernthal previously portrayed Frank Castle in Netflix's "Daredevil and The Punisher," later reprising the role in "Daredevil: Born Again" on Disney+. While details remain under wraps, it is reported that the movie picks up after the events of "Spider‑Man: No Way Home," where the world's memory of Peter Parker's identity as Spider‑Man was erased. Tom Holland will return as Peter Parker, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon expected to reprise their roles as MJ and Ned. The extent of their involvement has not been confirmed. "Stranger Things" star Sadie Sink and "The Bear" actress Liza Colón-Zayas are also joining the cast in undisclosed roles, according to IMDB. "Spider‑Man: Brand New Day" will be the fourth solo Spider‑Man film starring Tom Holland and the first directed by Cretton.

Jon Bernthal to play Punisher again in next 'Spider-Man' adventure
Jon Bernthal is set to reprise his iconic role of the Punisher in the next "Spider-Man" movie. Variety, Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter reported the casting news Friday. The film is set to go into production this summer. Bernthal has played the Marvel comic-book vigilante Frank Castle/the Punisher in his own eponymous TV show, as well as the related shows Daredevil and Daredevil: Born Again. In addition to appearing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day opposite Tom Holland as the titular web-slinger, Bernthal will also play the Punisher in an as-yet-untitled special on Disney+ Both projects are set for release in 2026. Bernthal was also recently seen in The Accountant 2 and The Amateur.
