Europol
, the platform facilitated large-scale drug transactions, offering substances like cocaine, amphetamines, heroin, cannabis, MDMA, and synthetic opioids, including fentanyl. With over 3,200 vendors and more than 17,000 listings, it became the longest standing
dark web drug market
.
During its five-year run, Archetyp Market attracted over 612,000 users and processed transactions totaling more than €250 million (approximately $289 million) in Monero cryptocurrency, Bleeping computer said.
"Between 11 and 13 June, a series of coordinated actions took place across Germany, the Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Sweden, targeting the platform's administrator, moderators, key vendors, and technical infrastructure. Around 300 officers were deployed to carry out enforcement actions and secure critical evidence," Europol said.

As part of the international enforcement effort, dubbed
Operation Deep Sentinel
, German police led the charge with support from Europol and
Eurojust
. Other countries that collaborated in the effort included Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Sweden and the US.
Investigators in the Netherlands dismantled the site's infrastructure, while Spanish authorities arrested a 30-year-old German national suspected of being its administrator in Barcelona, said Bleeping Computer, adding one moderator and six of the most active vendors were apprehended in Germany and Sweden.
"With this takedown, law enforcement has taken out one of the dark web's longest-running drug markets, cutting off a major supply line for some of the world's most dangerous substances. By dismantling its infrastructure and arresting its key players, we are sending a clear message: there is no safe haven for those who profit from harm," said Jean-Philippe Lecouffe, Europol's deputy executive director of operations.
The operation led to the seizure of 47 smartphones, 45 computers, narcotics, and assets valued at 7.8 million euros, marking a significant crackdown on dark web
drug trafficking

Minor girl escapes kidnap by jumping off bike in traffic jam
Indore: A minor girl, who was being kidnapped by three bike-borne youths from a crowded market in Bori area of Alirajpur, escaped by jumping off the two-wheeler during heavy traffic jam. The incident took place on Thursday, but it came to light only on Friday night when a video surfaced on social media. In the video, the three accused are seen forcefully pulling the minor on a motorcycle while her sister tries to stop them and pull her back. One of the men is visibly wielding a sharp weapon, using it to threaten onlookers and the victim's sister. Despite the chaos and the public setting, no bystander stepped in to help. Acting on the video evidence, the police took suo moto cognizance and registered a case. Man falls into polluted Buddha Nullah at Ludhiana's Tibba Road and body not recovered yet.
Ludhiana: A day of back-to-back tragedy unfolded in the city as the Buddha Nullah claimed the lives of two people — a 10-year-old boy and, hours later, a 35-year-old man whose body remains missing. The latest victim, Ram Krishan, a scrap dealer and resident of Tibba Road, reportedly fell into the polluted drain around 8.30pm on Friday while sitting on a bridge during a power outage. His wife, Om Wati, said he had returned home in an inebriated state and was sitting on the bridge with their two children nearby when the incident occurred. Om Wati told police: "He gave me Rs 50 to buy vegetables for dinner and sat outside. A few minutes later, our daughter came running and said he had fallen in." With no one nearby to help, Om Wati ran to a local fish market to seek assistance. Locals attempted a rescue but were unsuccessful. Divers deployed on Saturday were also unable to recover the body.
