Bears OTAs: Videos from Day 2 practice featuring Caleb Williams, Rome Odunze
The Chicago Bears kicked off organized team activities this week at Halas Hall, including a Wednesday session open to the media.
Ben Johnson's second practice (the first open to the media) provided a glimpse at an intense style of coaching, where the first-time head coach wasn't afraid to halt the action to correct things or players. Johnson even screamed at tight end Cole Kmet for lining up incorrectly. For Johnson, he says the intensity is what we can expect to see from him in practice.
As you can imagine, there were plenty of eyes on second-year quarterback Caleb Williams, as evidenced by the abundance of clips that emerged from the media in attendance. There were also glimpses of receivers Rome Odunze and DJ Moore, as well as the return of safety Jaquan Brisker.

The Bears will hold seven voluntary OTA practices from May 20-22 and May 27-30. There will also be a three-day OTA practice set for rookies on June 9-11.

It's no secret that the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears, as well as their respective fan bases, despise one another, as they hold the NFL record with 210 all-time matchups. And it appears that Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is fitting right into that vitriol. Speaking at Fanatics Fest in New York City on Friday, Williams said that Packers fans "suck," as shown in a video captured by Empire Sports Media. "After the game, after we won at Lambeau — 1-0 at Lambeau — we tried to do the Lambeau Leap, tried to jump into the crowd where our fans were," Williams said. "[Packers fans] just started throwing everything at you, push you off. The Lambeau Leap, it's a real leap. It's not a little baby jump, you actually have to high jump, basically. And they're pushing you, pushing your face." The Bears and Packers split their 2025 regular-season series, with both teams winning on the other's home turf. In Week 11, the Packers blocked a would-be game-winning, 46-yard field goal from Cairo Santos as time expired in the fourth quarter. Then, in Week 18, Santos made a 51-yard field goal as time expired in the fourth quarter, which ended a 10-game losing streak on the season for the Bears, as well as an 11-game losing streak to the Packers and an eight-game losing streak at Lambeau Field. In Chicago's two games against Green Bay, Williams totaled a combined 379 passing yards, 80 rushing yards, one passing touchdown, zero interceptions and a 95.1 passer rating, while completing 73.3% of his passes. As for the season as a whole, Williams, who Chicago selected with the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, totaled 3,541 passing yards, 20 passing touchdowns, six interceptions and an 87.8 passer rating, while completing 62.5% of his passes. He also rushed for 489 yards. Williams, who started all 17 games for the Bears, ranked 44th among quarterbacks with a 67.6 overall grade, according to Pro Football Focus. Both of the Bears' and Packers' 2025 regular-season matchups will air on FOX, with the first game coming on Dec. 7 in Green Bay and the second game coming on Dec. 20 in Chicago. Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams didn't mince words when talking about Green Bay Packers fans at Fanatics on Friday. Williams, 23, was asked which team's fans he has had the most negative experiences with, and the Bears quarterback was quick to point to the fanbase of the Bears' biggest rival. (Photo by Getty Images) Former Ohio State offensive lineman Kirk Barton has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide following a fatal crash early Saturday in Dublin, Ohio, according to NBC4. According to the City of Dublin, Barton, 40, is suspected of driving a Ford F-150 Raptor pickup truck "at a high rate of speed" before entering Historic Dublin, where he crashed into a Lexus on West Bridge Street around 3 a.m. Advertisement The driver of the Lexus, 24-year-old Ethan Perry, died on the scene, according to the city. Barton sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was eventually released from Riverside Methodist Hospital into Dublin Police custody, the city said. Barton was then moved to Franklin County Jail. NBC4 reported Saturday that Barton was charged with a second-degree felony count of aggravated vehicular homicide while operating a vehicle under the influence, according to Franklin County court records, which also show Barton has been charged with multiple traffic-related offenses in the past. Barton is scheduled for an arraignment Monday at 9 a.m., per NBC4.
