Malick Fofana agent has already dropped major Liverpool transfer claim as enquiry made
Liverpool are among a number of clubs being linked with young Lyon winger Malick Fofana. And if the Reds choose to pursue an interest in the 20-year-old, they may have a significant advantage over other potential suitors.

Chelsea have reportedly made a verbal enquiry about Belgium international Fofana, who scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 41 appearances for Lyon this season. At present, the Reds are well stocked on the left flank with Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz having vied for the position throughout the recent title-winning season.
However, there are doubts over Diaz's long-term future with the player having admitted holding talks with other clubs - Barcelona and the Saudi Pro League are among those monitoring his situation - with two years left on his Liverpool contract to run.

But the Reds would have some encouragement if a move for Fofana becomes an option later down the line.
Speaking about Fofana's next club, his representatives from BF SportsPartner told Africafoot earlier this year: "The choice of heart would be Liverpool. He has the potential to enter the rotation, and above all, we would like to see him succeed African legends such as Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and El-Hadji Diouf.
"He has the profile to succeed in the Premier League. He possesses qualities similar to those of Manchester United's Amad Diallo, namely speed, impact, and the ability to create opportunities.
"There's no doubt he can shine. For him, this would be an opportunity to continue his development and, above all, to showcase his talent in a league that favours transitional play.
"However, he'll have to choose the right club, as competition is fierce across the (English) Channel."

Recently linked with a return to the Bundesliga, Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Sasa Kalajdzic has spoken on potentially suiting up for another German club. There's also the matter of the Austrian international's troubled injury history. 'VfB has three strikers, and all three did well last season,' Kalajdzic said. 'A loan always has to make sense. In football, it's rare or even unheard of to sign someone just because they had a great past or out of love. Everything has to fit. I'm not in a position [due to the injury history] where I can point to a club and say, 'That's where I want to play.',' Kalajdzic nevertheless did drop strong hints that he wised to play football in the country of his mother tongue and comfortable culture. His words on life in Wolverhampton surely solicited a chuckle out of most readers. Liverpool closing in on agreement to sign Sadio Mane 2.0
According to journalist Nabil Djellit Liverpool are close to agreeing a €1m deal to sign Sidy Bahama Ndiaye. The 2009-born 15-year-old Senegalese winger is likely to join the Reds from his academy Diambars. Advertisement This is an interesting move. Ndiaye is regarded as a big prospect, who was playing an age-group above his peers at the recent U17 AFCON and certainly caught the eye. But being 15-years-old, Ndiaye will not be able to join the club until he celebrates his 18th birthday as per FIFA rules. His birthday is in December so that won't happen until December 2027, which means the earliest transfer window Ndiaye could join the club is the January 2028 one, which will be in around two and a half years. Liverpool haven't done this kind of deal pretty much ever. But it's not unprecedented in the world of football. Ndiaye has clearly been flagged by Wallbanks as one of those potential players. And it's easy to see why. There are shades of Mane about him, who is the last Senegalese to play for Liverpool. He's incredibly fast and the only way he could be stopped at the U17 AFCON is by being chopped down over and over again by the clumsy feet of opposition defenders. Overall, he averages 8.84 dribbles per 90, which is an extremely productive return. His end product was lacking a little but that's something that can be improved. He's still only 15 years old and has plenty of time to reach the levels he needs to reach.
