Dolla members show love as first Malaysian K-pop idol Lingling and fellow KIIRAS members join viral ‘MWA!' dance challenge (VIDEO)
KUALA LUMPUR, June 12 — Malaysian girl group Dolla has shown support for K-pop group KIIRAS after three of its members took part in the viral MWA! dance challenge.
KIIRAS members Lingling, Kylie and Roah uploaded a video on Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube yesterday, performing the choreography to Dolla's hit comeback single, MWA!.
'LOVEEE! Support Lingling,' wrote Dolla member Angel on X along with a Malaysian flag emoji, reposting the video alongside fellow member Tabby.
Lingling, Malaysia's first female K-pop idol hailing from Klang, joined two of her KIIRAS groupmates for the challenge.
The video quickly gained traction online with over 67,300 views and rising at the time of writing.
Fans on social media expressed excitement over the crossover, with several highlighting the Malaysian connection between Lingling and Dolla.
Comments like 'MAKA KAMI RAKYAT MALAYSIA' and 'MENYALAHHH ORANG KLANGGG' appeared across X, referencing both the idols' heritage and energy.
Fans also called for a collaboration between the two groups, with one user tweeting, 'Okeii KIIRAS x DOLLA crumbssss??'
Fans also took to social media to make requests directly to Dolla, with one user tagging Dolla members Angel, Tabby and the official group account @dollaofficialMY in a post asking, 'KILL MA BOSS challenge please?'
Kill Ma Bo$$ is KIIRAS' debut track, featuring a confident, country-western concept with bold visuals and strong choreography, marking a departure from their pre-debut image and positioning the group as a rising force in the K-pop scene.

‘The company is one thing, I'm another,' says Fazura amid RM4.65m lawsuit
KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 — Nearly two months have passed since allegations emerged that the company owned by popular actress and entrepreneur Nur Fazura Sharifuddin failed to settle a RM4.65 million debt owed to a headscarf manufacturing factory. Despite being repeatedly pressed by the claimant as well as by netizens on social media to address the issue, the celebrity has remained silent, going about her daily life, including promoting her headscarves on social media. Speaking to reporters at a press conference after launching the music video of her latest single Luar Biasa here last night, Fazura, 41, said the lawsuit against her company is a confidential matter and has been handed over to her lawyers for further action. Fazura, who is also a singer and television host, said she preferred not to comment further as it involves two separate entities. 'Honestly, there's nothing I can explain because we have to understand that I, Fazura, and the company are two different entities. I can't comment on company matters as that is beyond my scope as an individual. The company is the company, and Fazura is me personally, that's the distinction. 'So really, I can't say much about the company or whatever is going on. I've left all my company-related matters to my lawyers to take action,' she said. Fazura made these remarks when asked by reporters to comment on the RM4.65 million lawsuit filed by a headscarf supplier against her company Pink Fate Sdn Bhd. Admitting that she is affected by the controversy, the Pisau Cukur star said such issues are among the challenges any entrepreneur must face. 'What haven't I gone through in the past eight months? Of course, I've been affected. I'm not someone without feelings but as an entrepreneur, I understand this is normal. I don't think it's necessary to explain, because outsiders may not understand and could twist the facts,' she said. 'I know the business I'm running isn't a small one and I'm confident all entrepreneurs out there will understand the challenges that come with being in the business world,' she added. According to media reports early last month, headscarf manufacturer Obor Holding Sdn Bhd is taking legal action against Pink Fate for allegedly owing the company RM4.65 million. Back with new bite: Spider's acoustic set promises rock with heart this October
KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 — For nearly three decades, Malaysian rock band Spider, whose music incorporates elements of ska (a music genre that originated in Jamaica), continues to attract new fans despite a period when its popularity briefly waned. Appreciating their fans who have supported them for almost 30 years, this legendary band is set to rock the stage through their 'Spider Unplugged' concert at Mega Star Arena here on Oct 25. Spider vocalist Rustam Mustafah, better known as Tam, said the unplugged concert, in acoustic format, is a long-held dream and will feature a more intimate, dynamic and energetic musical arrangement. 'It will be quite challenging for us because unplugged performances are usually done as showcases but this time we're doing it as a full-scale concert... some songs may be rearranged in joget or inang style or performed slowly with drum accompaniment. 'We'll also incorporate strings, brass and percussion by guest musicians to diversify the performance... we're elevating it to a proper full concert experience for the audience,' he said at a press conference after the concert's launch recently. Popular for hits such as 'Phobia', 'Aladin', 'Relaku Pujuk', 'Kasih Latifah', 'Cinta Dewa Dewi' and 'Nazraku', Spider comprises Tam and Aie (drums), and two new members Iss (bass) and Pown (guitar), replacing Tony and Napie, who passed away in 2021 and 2024 respectively. Acknowledging that the loss of the two original members had a deep impact on the band's dynamic, Tam expressed confidence in the new members' ability to carry on the legacy. 'I believe in our two new players, Iss and Pown... they bring their own unique touch. This concert will also be a way to attract the younger generation who may have discovered Spider through radio or social media. 'We want to draw in young fans. They might know our songs but have never seen Spider perform live. This is a chance for them to experience our music in its most honest form,' he said, adding the concert is organised by Naga Legend Entertainment. As for their future plans, Tam dreams of performing in a concert with an orchestra and organising a series of tours to rural areas and higher learning institutions as part of Spider's 30th anniversary next year. 'We want to expand the band's reach to wider audiences. We believe music is more than just entertainment; it holds cultural and educational value as well,' he said.
