Texas 5-star QB commit Dia Bell Dia Bell gets rare opportunity to showcase his skills

Yahoo24-03-2025

Texas commitment Dia Bell is no stranger to making headlines. That continued on Saturday when he was invited to this year's Elite 11 Final. Bell will get to spend a few days this summer in Los Angeles, competing against the other ten best quarterbacks in his class.
For the Longhorns, Bell's latest honor comes as no surprise. The five-star recruit is ranked as the third-best quarterback in his class and the No. 1 player from Florida, according to 247Sports. He committed to the Longhorns last summer and has not changed his mind despite receiving offers from other schools.
Recently, Bell reaffirmed that Texas is where his focus is. During an interview with ON3.com's Steve Wiltfong, Bell revealed that he does not intend to take visits to any other school. He will be in Austin on June 20th for an official visit.

This summer, fans nationwide will get to see how bright the future is as Bell shows off his skills at the Elite 11 Final. During the three-day event, Bell will get one-on-one quarterback instruction in a competitive environment. It will also consist of on-field drills, competition, classroom instruction, and off-field development. For one of the best players in the 2026 class, it will be a chance to get even better.
Additionally, a 2025 Elite 11 MVP will be named at the end of the event. While it would be a nice honor for Bell to leave Los Angeles with some hardware, his focus will be on taking everything in. While there are only a few players in the country with his talent, Bell is not turning down any chances to get an edge.
As Bell prepares for this unique event, he is coming off a very productive year. Last season, the Fort Lauderdale native threw for 2,597 yards and 29 touchdowns. He also did an excellent job of caring for the football, only throwing six interceptions. Now, he will have a chance to shine on the national stage.

He also became the first Texas commit to win the Elite 11 MVP. "A truly amazing experience getting to watch some incredible quarterbacks compete and bond," Raja Bell said. Bell was also named the 2024 Gatorade Player of the Year in Florida. He threw for 2,597 yards before suffering a season-ending lower leg injury in the Class 4A regional semifinals. Ohio State Gets Good News on Highly Touted Star

Ohio State Gets Good News on Highly Touted Star originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The best official visits end with high school prospects leaving campus dreaming about playing for that college football program. Based on the latest recruiting news, the Ohio State Buckeyes achieved that goal with five-star edge rusher Carter Meadows. Advertisement Meadows shared with On3's Mick Walker that he can picture himself with the Buckeyes. 'My favorite part was definitely learning about the culture of 'Fight' that I can definitely see myself fitting in with,' said Meadows. Walker portrayed the edge rusher as needing more time to make his final recruitment decision. But Walker also described the Buckeyes as "well-positioned" for Meadows. 'They are definitely high on my list and for good reason,' added Meadows. Meadows is among the top-rated players in the 2026 recruiting class with On3 giving the pass rusher a five-star rating. However, he's a four-star recruit on the site's ratings. On both lists, Meadows is the top 2026 recruit in the District of Columbia. Ohio State is trying to add Meadows to its growing list of recruiting success stories in the mid-Atlantic. In the 2017 recruiting class, the Buckeyes landed No. 1 Maryland recruit and seventh-overall prospect Chase Young. Advertisement Young eventually became the No. 2 overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft.
