Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan is known for being quite active and honest on social media. From witty tweets on X to his Tumblr blog, he also keeps sharing memories of his initial days in the film industry. In his latest blog, Amitabh shared that he completed shooting 'five ad films and two photoshoots' in just around two hours, with the director jokingly saying that he was setting a 'bad precedent' for other people.
Taking to his blog, Amitabh wrote, 'Working away .. and the joy of it .. did 5 films and 2 photo shoots in about 2 hrs…of course they were for an Ad., for a client endorsement .. ! but still !!'
The actor further added that he finished the work so fast that the crew and director were left shocked. 'The crew and friend director tells me – 'I am spoiling the work template of work' ….they told me …'if you are going to finish an entire days work in one 4rth of half a day then, your client shall give more films to be made in the one day designated, and that shall set a bad precedent .. for all ' !!Oh .. I would rather do that for the benefit of the worker, than myself… many a times they ask me what I have seen as change in the Film World .. and I have many changes noticed,' he stated.
However, he didn't elaborate on the industry changes as it can be used to 'attract a headline'. 'BUT .. NO .. I shall not say it here , because this communication Universe has been besieged by the – IMPOTENCY OF CONTENT .. HAHAHAHA .. EACH EXPRESSION SHALL BE GIVEN A DIFFERENT MEANING IN ORDER TO ATTRACT A HEADLINE (sic).'
The Sholay actor concluded his blog by stating that he enjoys doing his work. 'The work is so rewarding,' he wrote. Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Vettaiyan in 2024, which starred Rajinikanth in the lead role. (Also Read: Imtiaz Ali dropped Diana Penty from Ranbir Kapoor's Rockstar after 3 weeks of workshop; actor says 'he felt I wasn't…') Diana Penty recalls facing body shaming for being too skinny. When asked whether she had ever been touched inappropriately while travelling on a bus or in a crowd, Diana said, "I think every girl in Bombay has gone through this. To go to college, St Xavier's, I used to take the train—the central line from Byculla to VT—and then walk to college. There's catcalling, and people try to elbow you. It became a part of daily life. I was a very shy, underconfident, conscious and awkward girl. I would go into a shell. It would scare me. I didn't have the confidence to elbow back." Diana also recalled that from the time she was a child up until around six or seven years ago, she was skinny and faced body-shaming. "It scarred me. You're a child, and if people keep telling you, 'Oh, you're so skinny, you don't eat?' And some aunties would go up to my mother and say this. She used to get so irritated—like why wouldn't I feed my child? As a child, you start becoming conscious of the fact that you're too skinny. It was awful." She shared that her mother once took her to a paediatric dietician, who advised her to feed Diana six bananas a day—though she only managed four—and still, nothing changed. Diana revealed that she has spent her life trying to gain weight and not be as skinny. She recalled that she didn't use to wear sleeveless clothes and would keep layering up to fit in with others. Diana Penty's recent and upcoming films Diana is currently seen in the movie Detective Sherdil, which also stars Diljit Dosanjh, Boman Irani, Chunky Panday, and Banita Sandhu in lead roles. The film is available to stream on ZEE5. She will next be seen in Section 84, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur in lead roles. The release date for the film is yet to be announced.

Amitabh Bachchan brings alive the Indian values in India Gate's new film

HighlightsIndia Gate Basmati Rice has launched a new brand film titled 'India Ka Swaad Chakhte Hai,' featuring legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, emphasizing the significance of Indian values shared through food. The campaign showcases four heartwarming stories that illustrate how food acts as a bridge connecting families, guests, and strangers, highlighting the cultural importance of hospitality and respect for elders. With a comprehensive rollout across cinemas, television, and digital platforms, the campaign aims to position India Gate Basmati Rice as a symbol of Indian values and belonging, resonating emotionally with consumers. India Gate, the Basmati Rice brand has launched a new brand film featuring actor Amitabh Bachchan , spotlighting our most celebrated Indian values which are shared, celebrated and passed on to generations. At the heart of the 100-second film titled ' India Ka Swaad Chakhte Hai ' lies a profound belief — that in India, food is never just about nourishment; it is how we honour guests, respect elders, welcome strangers as family, and carry forward the wisdom of Indian Values. Through four small yet touching stories, the film brings to life everyday moments where food becomes a bridge — connecting strangers, families and guests. With Bachchan as narrator and anchor, the film starts with a thought of making Indian values go viral through food. Whether it's Atithi Devo Bhava or respecting the elders, the idea that "Values Viral Banate Hai" sits at the heart of the campaign — reminding us that in Indian culture, values aren't taught, they're experienced and must be passed on. Through four evocative stories, the campaign captures the quiet yet powerful ways in which Indian values show up in everyday life, from a student far from home finding comfort in a familiar dish, to a newcomer being welcomed with warmth by a neighbour, to a foreigner being embraced with heartfelt hospitality and to a caregiver becoming family through being a meal provider. Kunal Sharma, head of marketing and business head – modern trade and e-commerce, India Gate, said, 'This campaign is a tribute to those timeless principles that flow across generations and regions. Food, in this context, is the medium — a simple yet powerful way these emotions are expressed and carried forward. With Bachchan lending his voice, we hope to spark emotional reflection on what truly binds us as Indians.' The campaign is being launched as a 360-degree integrated rollout, reaching audiences through cinemas, television, and digital platforms over the next five weeks. The film will be amplified through cinema screens across 32 cities (more than 560 screens). In addition, the film will be running across leading national and regional channels including Star Plus, Colors, Zee TV, Star Gold, Aaj Tak, Sun TV, Star Vijay, Star Jalsha, News18 Bangla and more — ensuring the message resonates in multiple languages and cultural contexts. A robust presence across Digital, CTV and OTT, amplified further through influencer-led storytelling to reach audiences in a more immersive way. The film "India Ka Swaad Chakhte Hai" reinforces India Gate Basmati Rice 's commitment to being more than just a food brand. It aims to position the brand as a symbol of Indian values and belonging, resonating with consumers on a deeply personal and emotional level, the company stated in a press release.
