The former No. 1 overall pick returned from a torn wrist ligament in 2023 with a vengeance in 2024. Burrow played like his hair was on fire, leading the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns. At times, it felt like Burrow would nearly single-handedly lead the Bengals to the playoffs, but his effort just wasn't enough when combined with a horrific defense in Cincinnati. Senger will back up Luis Torrens, who replaces Alvarez as New York's primary catcher. The 23-year-old Alvarez, once rated baseball's best minor league prospect, had 25 homers and 63 RBIs with a .721 OPS as a rookie in 2023.
