According to police sources, Rohit had gone for a picnic with nine colleagues when he reportedly slipped and fell into the waterfall. Officials from the Rani Police Outpost stated that the incident occurred around 2 p.m.
Speaking to Guwahati Plus, police said, 'We received the report around 4 p.m. and reached the spot by 4:30 p.m. The SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) team recovered the body around 6:30 p.m."
Preliminary investigations suggest Rohit's fall was accidental, and authorities have not found any signs of foul play so far. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and further investigations are ongoing.
