Jamie Laing and pregnant Sophie Habboo break silence on 'tense street exchange'
Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo took to social media to speak out after reports the parents-to-be were caught up in a heated exchange
Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo have hit back after reports of a tense street exchange. The pair were snapped appearing to be having a disagreement as they stepped out close to their work at BBC Radio 1's studios.
Pregnant Sophie, 30, is covering Vick Hope on the drivetime show on the station. It seems as though she was in a tense discussion with her husband Jamie, 36. However, the duo have since laughed off the speculation in a social media upload.
Taking to Instagram to shut down the rumours, the pair tried to explain the images. Sophie admitted she hadn't been hosting the show that day as she thought she had heat stroke.
She went on: "I look like I'm dying," before joking she is sure the images had 'extra wrinkles added to her neck'. Her partner laughed as she continued to share her concern for apparently looking older in the images.
The Made In Chelsea star then called out people commenting on the post as internet users trolled the pair. "See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya," Jamie finished the Instagram Stories upload.
He then shared a clip from the Nearly Parents podcast in which he joked Sophie is now turned off as she is pregnant. "Turns out sex is not on the cards anymore," he told listeners as Sophie chuckled.
"Sex stops ladies and gentlemen," he claimed. "It is like your work is done," he went on before opening up on their past.
She recently candidly revealed her pregnancy journey on the podcast, too. On it, she admitted she has struggled with some aspects of her journey. During her second trimester, she said she felt as though she was "dying" and was quickly becoming irritated due to the huge change in her hormones. "This girl has gone from a bit of a b***h to don't come near me," she confessed.
Sophie continued: "Up until week eight, I was smooth sailing. No good aversions, no sickness, so much energy, I was like 'what is everyone talking about this is unbelievable'. Week eight hit and everyone's starting to grate to me a bit. Like that man sat next to me on the plane breathing, like is it illegal if I punch him in the face?
"If you're a fan of the podcast, I love you so much but you're not going to like me if you meet me at the moment." And Jamie confessed to his own struggles with Sophie's mood changes.
He added: "I asked Sophie if she had any cravings and she said 'No, the only craving I have is hating you.' I then spent an evening on Reddit looking at 'Why does your wife hate her husband so much when they're pregnant?'"
And he went on: "Sophie is teaching me to drive and I'm a little bit nervous in the car and she goes 'You're a s**t driver'. I'm literally in my head going 'Oh my God, she hasn't eaten, this is really scary'."

And the pair, plus re-signed Celtic hero Kieran Tierney, 28 — who has a million social media fans — are primed to rake in fortunes from their posts. Brand expert Nick Ede told how they are cashing in on links to other major teams. Robbo is tipped to move to Spain's Atletico Madrid, while McTominay started at Manchester United and Tierney was at Arsenal for six years. Mr Ede said their Instagram figures could be translated into 'millions of pounds'. He explained: 'They attract loads of followers, and not just football fans. "As with any kind of public figure, people want to know more about them. 'And that could be brands they're associated with. It builds up your following. 'It also means they have a strong currency to expand their personal brand — and it's great for the team they play for.' But the trio are not prolific contributors. Tartan Army fan who walked to Germany embarking on new challenge for the World Cup Robertson has posted 761 times on Instagram since 2013, while McTominay has shared pics 332 times since 2016 and Tierney just 215. Mr Ede said: 'Someone like Andy could command £100,000 a post for a top brand. There is a lot of opportunity.'
