Ex-Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph arrested, charged in fatal car crash
Former Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph was arrested Saturday morning and is facing a felony charge in Texas after his alleged involvement in a fatal car crash, according to arrest records viewed by The Post.
Joseph, 25, was charged with driving while intoxicated (a misdemeanor) and collision involving personal injury or death (a felony).

that they received a call from Joseph at 5:39 a.m. local time in which the University of Kentucky standout admitted to his involvement in the accident.

Police allege that Joseph's BMW hit a motorcycle, resulting in the death of a 27-year-old woman.
Authorities added in a statement that they 'observed signs of intoxication' from Joseph and that an investigation is underway.
Joseph's incident on Saturday is not his first involvement with the police, with the cornerback being in the car of a suspected gunman in Dallas before a shooting in 2022.
Police ultimately concluded Joseph was not the shooter, and he was cleared of any wrongdoing shortly after.

'We obviously don't need our players to be involved in situations that make this come up about your character,' Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said at the time. 'He needs to be a good player on and off the field and we're going to give him a chance to do that. [Our message to him is] Now get in here and be a good player, be a guy everybody depends on, and make your name in a positive way and clean it up.'

The Cowboys drafted Joseph in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and he played in 26 games across two seasons with the team before being traded to the Dolphins ahead of the 2023 campaign.
Joseph played in four games for Miami before being traded to the Seahawks midway through that season.

He has since made multiple NFL practice squads, but has failed to appear in a regular-season game.
The defensive back is now on the roster of the UFL's DC Defenders after playing in nine games this season.

(AP) — Los Angeles Angels manager Ron Washington will be out indefinitely because of health issues, and bench coach Ray Montgomery will manage Friday night's series opener against the Houston Astros. Washington, 73, experienced shortness of breath and appeared fatigued toward the end of a four-game series against the Yankees. He was cleared by Yankees doctors to fly home with the team Thursday night and underwent a series of medical tests on Friday. The Angels did not specify what symptoms Washington is experiencing, but said the manager was able to address the team in the clubhouse along with Minasian on Friday, and he was planning to watch the game from the GM's Angel Stadium suite. Washington was not made available to the media. 'Wash has not felt great the last couple of days,' Minasian said. 'We want to make sure he's 100% before he's back in the dugout and managing. How long it's going to take, I don't know. I don't expect it to be too long. 'We all know how important this is for all of us, but health is more important than anything, and me personally, I'm not letting him back in the dugout until I know he's 100% OK. I love the guy too much.' Advertisement Washington, who managed the Texas Rangers to back-to-back World Series in 2010 and 2011, was hired by Minasian before a 2024 season in which the Angels lost a franchise-record 99 games. The Angels entered Friday night's game at 36-38 —- 6 1/2 games behind the Astros in the AL West. The Angels are 15-6 in one-run games, a major league-best .714 winning percentage, and 5-0 in extra innings. 'He wants to manage–I don't know if he's ever missed a game–but at the end of the day, you have to make tough decisions,' Minasian said. 'For me, I want to make sure the guy is absolutely healthy, and physically, he's in the right place before we put him back in the dugout. 'We play some close games. They're not the types of games you can sit back, kick your feet up and just watch. D.C. attorney general alleges violence intervention nonprofit misused funds
The District's attorney general has alleged that a nonprofit group hired by the city misappropriated funds that were supposed to go toward preventing gun violence in the Congress Heights neighborhood. In a lawsuit filed this week by D.C. Attorney General Brian L. Schwalb, the city is seeking to recoup more than $250,000 in government funds that went to Women in H.E.E.L.S. (Healing, Elevation, Empowerment, Love, Support) Inc.
