Prosenjit Chatterjee supports Aamir Khan's cinema-only release for ‘Sitaare Zameen Par': Aamir can take risk
Aamir Khan 's much-awaited film Sitaare Zameen Par hit theatres on June 20, and in a bold move, the superstar has chosen to release it exclusively in cinemas, skipping an OTT release entirely. This decision has sparked mixed reactions in the industry. In an interview with actor Prosenjit Chatterjee shared his thoughts on Aamir's choice. He acknowledged that while such changes are necessary in today's evolving film landscape, it takes someone with Aamir's experience and understanding of cinema to confidently take that kind of risk. Prosenjit Chatterjee on Aamir Khan's Bold Move Prosenjit Chatterjee said that Aamir Khan's decision to release 'Sitaare Zameen Par' only in theatres is a bold step. He believes that while this may not change everything right away, it's important that someone takes the first step. He also said there's no good or bad way to release a film, what matters is trying something new. "I remember long back when content would be sold to CD companies, and it paid producers handsomely. However, after a year or two, I realised that the CDs were already in the market in a few days, and the theatre business was getting affected. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Perdagangkan CFD Emas dengan Broker Tepercaya IC Markets Mendaftar Undo So I called up all the producers for a meeting and we jointly decided that while the rights would be sold off, we need to have a gap of a good 9-12 weeks. All producers came together, and things changed to a certain level," the Bengali actor said. Chatterjee Sees a Similar Trend from the Past Chatterjee mentioned that he had seen a similar pattern in the past when films first started premiering on television. "In three or four weeks, they would start playing Bengali and even Hindi films on television. So, we stopped that and said let's give it after eight weeks. To save the theatrical business and cinema, he (Aamir Khan) is a person who can think this way or take this kind of risk. Nothing will change, a film will come on OTT and then on satellite television. That's how it works, that's how we reach our Indian audiences. But let's see how this goes (Sitaare Zameen Par's only-cinema model), and I hope it works." Aamir Khan Returns with a Heartwarming Film Marking his comeback after three years, Aamir Khan's 'Sitaare Zameen Par' has received a warm response from both critics and audiences. Directed by RS Prasanna and also starring Genelia Deshmukh , the film is seen as a spiritual sequel to 'Taare Zameen Par', focusing on a heartfelt story involving children. SRK and Salman Show Support at the Premiere On June 19, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan joined Aamir Khan at the film's premiere. The two superstars were seen warmly interacting with the young cast members, fondly called the 'sitaare', making the evening even more special. 'It's on her terms': Taylor Swift reportedly won't change her last name even if she marries Travis Kelce, claims source
Sources confirm Taylor Swift intends to keep her iconic name even after marrying Travis Kelce (Getty Images) The rumors around Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding plans continue to swirl, but one thing is clear—if a wedding does happen, don't expect the global pop superstar to take her partner's last name. According to a recent report from ShuterScoop, a source close to the singer said that the 'Swift' name isn't going anywhere, no matter what her relationship status becomes. Taylor Swift has built an empire around her name and won't let it go 'not even for Travis' With Taylor Swift's brand being one of the most powerful in entertainment today, the decision seems rooted in far more than just personal preference. The insider stated, 'When she gets married, it's on her terms. And that Swift name's not changing.' Another quote from the same source emphasized that the 14-time Grammy winner has no plans to shift her identity, saying, 'She's not giving that up. Not even for Travis.' Indeed, Swift has meticulously crafted her brand over nearly two decades. From her signature lyrics to her billion-dollar Eras Tour, the name 'Taylor Swift' is more than just a personal identifier—it's a global trademark. Wedding speculations grew after Taylor and Travis were named in NFL friend's guest list The marriage speculation ramped up earlier this month when Swift and Kelce's names appeared on a wedding guest list for NFL player Cole Kmet. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 임플란트 29만원 이벤트 임플란트 더 알아보기 Undo According to Page Six, the event planner for Kmet's wedding inadvertently revealed that the couple had been invited under the names 'Taylor and Travis Kelce.' This led fans to speculate whether the couple had already tied the knot privately or were planning to do so soon. However, the insider confirmed to ShuterScoop that the couple is not married 'yet.' And interestingly, Taylor and Travis didn't even attend the event. Instead, they were seen at Kelce's cousin's wedding, further fueling headlines but offering little clarity. While fans eagerly await a proposal, another report from RadarOnline suggests that the weight of public expectation may be getting to Kelce. 'The pressure is real – not just from Taylor, but from her fans and the media. Everyone's watching, everyone's speculating. It's enough to make anyone freeze,' a source revealed. Also Read: Taylor Swift breaks from Blake Lively after shocking betrayal as Travis Kelce becomes her emotional shield Despite the speculation, the couple appears stronger than ever, enjoying public date nights and spending time together in Florida, where Kelce has been preparing for the upcoming NFL season.
