'Time right' for Middlesex to part ways with Johnson
Middlesex have parted ways with first-team coach Richard Johnson as "results have fallen below expectations".
The 50-year-old has been at the helm since the start of the 2022 season, having previously worked as assistant coach under Richard Scott and taking over the lead role on an interim basis in 2018.

Johnson guided Middlesex to promotion from Division Two of the County Championship in his first season but they were relegated at the first attempt in 2023, finished third in the second tier last season, and are sixth, five points off the bottom, after three defeats in their opening seven matches.
Middlesex have also lost three of their opening six fixtures in this season's T20 Blast to lie off the pace in seventh in a tightly fought South Group, and have failed to reach the knockout stage of either white-ball competition since Johnson's arrival.
Alan Coleman, Middlesex's director of cricket, told the club website: "Jono has put his heart and soul into the role and we thank him for all his hard work.
"Ultimately cricket is a performance business, and we do not feel that the results this season have matched the expectations that we have for the team at our disposal.

"Jono is due a lot of credit for leading the team through the most difficult off-field period that we have had and has embraced the challenge of working within the financial constraints placed upon the club during his time."
Coleman added: "We do though have high expectations for the playing group that has been assembled, and we do feel that the time is right for a change to try and maximise the talent and performances from our squad.
"Jono is a modern Middlesex cricketing great and has served the club exceptionally well during his time as a player, assistant coach and first-team coach."

Kentucky's Jasper Johnson has made the second Team USA U19 cut
The Kentucky Wildcats didn't land a top five recruit like they have done in previous years, but they ended up with a talented class nonetheless. One of those recruits is guard Jasper Johnson, a top 25 player in this year's class. Both Johnson and Malachi Moreno attended the Team USA U19 training camp, competing for a spot on the team that will compete at the FIBA U19 Men's World Cup in late June and early July. When the team was cut down to 18, Moreno was eliminated with a minor injury, but Johnson moved on. Now, the team has been cut to 15 players, and Johnson, once again, has made it through. Other players to make the cut include former Kentucky targets Chris Cenac Jr., Mikel Brown Jr., and Koa Peat. Current Kentucky target Tyran Stokes is also on the list. The final cut will bring the roster down to the final 12 players who will make up the official team. The World Cup will begin June 28th, and Kentucky fans will hopefully get to root for Johnson there.

Luke Wells leads record-breaking Lancashire to Vitality Blast win
Luke Wells produced a record-breaking performance in the Vitality Blast as Lancashire crushed Derbyshire by 80 runs. Opener Wells hit eight sixes in his 44-ball 83 – the most ever by a Lancashire player in Twenty20. Will Jacks led the way with 97 off 56 balls in Surrey's 194 for eight before Mitchell Santner took three for 25, Jacks fittingly picking up the final wicket as Middlesex were dismissed for 119. Advertisement Tawanda Muyeye scored a maiden T20 century to help Kent beat Essex by 47 runs. The opener hit seven sixes and six fours on his way to 100 from 59 balls as Kent posted 219 for three. Dean Elgar (50) and Simon Harmer (55 off 21 balls) hit half-centuries in response for Essex but they were bowled out for 172. Gloucestershire beat Hampshire in style, with David Payne's six off the last ball of the match sealing a two-wicket win.

4-star edge rusher, Alabama target announces official commitment date
A prospect that the Alabama Crimson Tide recently made the top three finalists for earlier this month, a date is now set for the commitment decision of highly-touted edge rusher Cincere Johnson. Johnson, who lists both Ohio State and Penn State as finalists alongside Alabama, will be making his decision June 19 between the three programs.
