Popular film franchise spin-off descends into chaos as stars and crew are wiped out with food poisoning

Something's afoot on the set of Millie Bobby Brown's latest Sherlock Holmes spin–off Enola Holmes — and it's not been pretty.
I'm told that after the cast and crew headed to Malta for filming, the set descended into chaos after a bit of dodgy catering wiped some of them out with food poisoning.

My mole said: 'Millie and her co-stars were in the middle of filming when people started to get sick.
'It's a nightmare because these productions run to such tight schedules and filming had to be stopped.
'There were a fair few affected and it meant everything had to grind to a halt until they got better.
'It ended up being a bout of food poisoning which is just really unfortunate. Luckily it wasn't anything too serious and everyone recovered but it put pressure on them in terms of hitting deadlines.'

Millie confirmed she was returning as Enola, the younger sister of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famous fictional character Sherlock, earlier this year.
Henry Cavill is back in place as the consulting detective, while Himesh Patel is in as his sidekick Dr Watson and Louis Partridge resumes his role as Enola's love interest Viscount Tewkesbury.
Helena Bonham Carter is reprising her role as Eudoria Holmes and Sharon Duncan-Brewster is continuing as the evil Moriarty.

She confirmed they would be starting the film this spring, with the production taking place in London and Malta, where the third instalment is set.
According to the latest blurb put out by Netflix to hype up the movie, Millie's Enola will be seen tackling another mystery, in Malta, where she is 'flung into a nest of vipers'.
Millie Bobby Brown addresses public scrutiny
I doubt the plot twist of them coming down with the tom t*ts will make the final cut.

Ciara is no stranger to pushing the boundaries with her clobber and previously said: 'Fashion's important for me as an artist – it gives me so much opportunity and range to express myself, and I do feel my most confident self when I'm wearing pieces that I love.
'As you put on a look that you love, it does something to you.'

The record, released in 1998, was seen as a pivotal moment for them both – but he's not happy about the reworking.
He said: 'The whole thing felt like a knock-off. It's not, that's just my personal impression. But given how much the Ray of Light album has meant to so many of us, there could be something really wonderful.

'It would be great if the person at the label who selected these tracks stood up. With a rebuttal for some rigorous debate.'
Ouch.
Over to you, Madge.
Skye's no limit for Ekin-Su
Ekin-Su Culculoglu swapped her heels for a pair of walking boots to complete a fundraising trek across the Isle of Skye in Scotland for charity CoppaFeel.

She finished the 100km trek today after five days of walking, which included tackling peaks of more than 3,000ft.

It was for a good cause, as CoppaFeel is a youth-focused breast cancer awareness charity that encourages us all to check our boobs.
The former Love Islander, left, told me she was looking forward to 'experiencing something unforgettable' and I can imagine she didn't mean the aches and pains she and her fellow trekkers Candice Brown and Giovanna Fletcher are no doubt feeling right now.

A source said: 'Denise has made a real name for herself as a DJ and she's been booked for gigs all over the world but to play Glastonbury is a dream come true.
'She is planning a really nostalgic set with loads of Nineties hits that will get everyone dancing.'
Back in 2023, Denise began hosting what she described as an 'inclusive party' called Discoliscious with her best pal Jemma Bolt, which they have held up and down the UK.
The ex-Big Breakfast host said: 'I think a lot of music from then has really stood the test of time, and I guess a lot of people that were out partying in the Nineties, we are at an age now where perhaps we've had kids and started families – and you reminisce about the time when you were young, free and single and just having a really good time.'

She added: 'When I DJ, I don't party. I'm watching everybody else partying. I get a buzz from playing the music, but I'm not out having a wild time like maybe I did when I was younger.'
Trust me, Denise, once you get a whiff of the toilets you'll be necking a medicinal gin and tonic faster than you can say, 'That stinks'.
McFlying In on their motorbikes
Obviously there's no better week to get back into the studio than when the weather is scorching hot.
And while most of us are sunning ourselves outside, the McFly boys have started work on new music ahead of their upcoming tour.

My exclusive snaps show Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter and Danny Jones arriving at a recording studio in London on their motorbikes before getting to work.
The lads are fitting in the sessions around their live dates, with concerts in Gloucestershire and Southampton this weekend before they kick off their Busted Versus McFly tour in Birmingham on September 16.
Their seventh studio, Power To Play, went to No2 when they released it two years ago – and I've no doubt McFly are cooking up some more magic right now.
Didn't bring Hus down
'Anything I do, you know I do it major,' J Hus raps on the title track to the album Big Conspiracy, which he is celebrating the fifth anniversary of with a one-off gig.

That feels true, with tickets for the Royal Albert Hall concert selling out in seconds when they went on sale last month and an orchestra now ready and waiting on stage for his grand return.

It has been years since he played a headline set and when he emerges, he is full of beans. But he seems frantic as he races through songs and jumps around the stage.
The crowd lap it up, excited to be in the presence of one of the best British rappers for years, and when J, right, does lock in, his verses are immaculate.

Big Conspiracy won him Best Male at the 2021 Brits in 2021, but the fans go wild when tracks from his debut Common Sense are performed. But Hus has disappeared backstage and it is a backing vocalist rapping in his place.
J Hus is overflowing with talent and could put on an incredible show. I'm really hoping this gig has persuaded him to do just that.

Dave Grohl, 56, has sent fans into a spin after posing for a photo with US singer Amanda Palmer at London's Royal Albert Hall. Amanda was backstage at a gig by rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs when she bumped into the Foo Fighters legend. After grabbing Dave for a photo, she shared it on social media and told her followers: "Well I'll be damned. Not who I expected to run into backstage at the Yeah Yeah Yeah's show in London tonight, but look, it's Dave Grohl. She added: "We shared a sweet conversation mostly singing the cosmic praises of Melissa auf der Maur, whose magnificence truly obscures both of us. "It was really nice to meet you, Dave." Writing on Reddit, fans have been quick to make the connection between Dave's trip to London and next week's Glastonbury Festival. In 2023, a mystery act called The Churn Ups caused a stir when they featured on the Pyramid Stage bill. Fans went into a frenzy trying to work out who the band was, before they were eventually unmasked as The Foo Fighters. Starting a new thread on Reddit, music fans are now convinced Dave will be making another surprise appearance at Glastonbury. Fans slam Glastonbury as 'worst one ever' as full lineup announced One wrote: "Dave Grohl is in London, likely will be at the festival. Has done bits with John Fogerty in the past and other acts. Surely will be popping up at places this year?" Another replied: "Drumming for Alanis Morrisette possibly? Tribute for Taylor Hawkins?" And a third added: "100% will be milling about - I'd say a couple of guest appearances are a safe bet. Maybe Alanis for a song or Neil Young for an encore." The Foo Fighters' surprise Glastonbury set in 2023 was the first time the band had been at the festival since headlining in 2017. It was also their first major gig in the UK following the death of the band's drummer Taylor Hawkins, who passed away in March 2022 aged 50. Taylor had joined The Foo Fighters in 1997 and, prior to that, was the drummer on Alanis Morrissette's tour. Canadian musician Alanis is listed to perform on the Pyramid Stage at 6.15pm next Friday (June 27), which would be the perfect time for Dave to appear. Other headliners this year include The 1975, Neil Young, Olivia Rodrigo, Charli XCX, Doechii and The Prodigy. Glastonbury 2025 - confirmed acts so far TICKETS to the 2025 festival sold out in just minutes before some of the acts were even confirmed. Here is who has been confirmed so far. Confirmed headliners: The 1975 will take to the Pyramid Stage on Friday. Neil Young will headline the festival for the second time after his last set in 2009 on Saturday after RAYE makes her return. Charli xcx will headline the Other Stage on Saturday night. On Sunday, Olivia Rodrigo is due to belt out her hits for her first appearance while Rod Stewart will perform in the legends slot. More acts to appear on the Other Stage include Loyle Carner and The Prodigy. Doechii will make her Glastonbury debut on the West Holts Stage on Saturday night. Other names confirmed include Noah Kahan, Alanis Morissette, Gracie Abrams, Busta Rhymes, Lola Young, Brandi Carlile, Myles Smith, En Vogue, Amaarae, Cymande, Shaboozey, Osees and Gary Numan. Rod Stewart will also be performing in the Legends slot, having previously headlined at Worthy Farm 23 years ago. This week, the rock icon revealed in an interview how much he is being paid to perform this year - and how much he is set to lose. Rod told the Radio Times: "It was about eight months ago when I was asked to do it, maybe a little longer. But it didn't fit with my schedule because I've got to bring everybody back from America. "It's going to cost me £300,000 to do it and they only pay you about 120,000 quid. So it's going to cost me." 5 Dave Grohl has been pictured with US musician Amanda Palmer at The Royal Albert Hall Credit: Facebook 5 The last time Dave appeared at Glastonbury was with the Foo Fighters in 2023 Credit: Getty

'I went to a Knives Out-inspired whodunnit dinner and was not expecting this'

If you take Cluedo a little too seriously, this immersive dinner could be the next best activity date for you. I went along to The Perfect Bite experience, with tantalising drama and a murder to be solved Ever fancied yourself as Sherlock Holmes or Benoit Blanc? Or maybe you watched the Knives Out films and thought you'd love to be involved in a whodunnit investigation? Either way, if you're looking to add a little more bite to your usual romantic dinner, The Perfect Bite could be the next best dinner date idea. The Perfect Bite - hosted at Gaucho, City of London - adds a tantalising twist to your standard meal, serving up an evening of entertainment while you enjoy your steak and chips. By attending this limited time event, you're signing yourself up to a delicious four-course meal but you'll have to work for it, as you attempt to solve a twist-filled murder mystery, led by detective Logan Locke. ‌ ‌ READ MORE: Daniel Craig looks unrecognisable as he steps out in Venice with wife Rachel Weisz I have to say I wasn't expecting the level of suspense while enjoying my meal. Couples were embroiled in full blow arguments, suspects had breakdowns as we questioned them over their involvement and double lives were exposed. I worked alongside three other guests to find clues between courses, and watch the drama unfold as suspects revealed their true colours as the plot thickened. The Perfect Bite serves as an ideal immersive experience for a group of friends or as an exciting change to your usual date night. I left Gaucho feeling fulfilled, not only had I enjoyed a tasty meal, but I'd also solved a murder and had a decent dose of drama to go and tell my friends about. The Perfect Bite is inspired by Netflix 's Knives Out, which is set for a third instalment. Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery sees Daniel Craig reprising his role as the charming sleuth Benoit. Joining him is an A-list cast including Josh O'Connor (known for Challengers and The Crown), Cailee Spaeny (Alien: Romulus, Priscilla), Mila Kunis (Black Swan) and the legendary Glenn Close (Fatal Attraction, 101 Dalmations). Jeremy Renner is also making a comeback to the franchise. Devotees will recall his stint as the mascot for a hot sauce brand in Glass Onion, but his character in Wake Up Dead Man is entirely unrelated. ‌ The latest instalment will hit the streaming service on December 12, 2025, but Craig admitted that he'd love for the movie to go into theatres. 'Hopefully, Netflix will push it out a bit, and people will get to see it. The people I speak to – the fans, I suppose – all they want to do is take their families and go see it at the cinemas. That's all they want to do. Hopefully we can give them that experience,' the former James Bond star told Variety. Netflix's first-look prompted reactions from fans, with one saying: "Let's go. Love Daniel Craig in this role," while another commented: "I'm just here for Benoit Blanc's Southern charm and all the chaos in between." Another film enthusiast predicted: "This mystery is shaping up to be the best one yet." ‌ How to book The Perfect Bite Immersive Dinner The Perfect Bite, A Dinner Experience Inspired by Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery takes place at Gaucho City of London.
