Abi Marquez just met the "Superman" team up close and personal! On Instagram, the content creator, also known as the Lumpia Queen, shared a photo of herself with "Superman" stars David Corenswet and Rachel, as well as director James Gunn. In the photo taken in her kitchen studio, the group could be seen posing with several lumpia in front of them as a teaser for Abi's upcoming content with the trio. "It's a bird, it's a plane..." Abi wrote in the caption. The cast and crew of "Superman" recently visited Manila for the first stop of their promotion tour. "Superman" opens in cinemas and IMAX on July 9. 'Superman' stars David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan admit pressure to live up to the hype
The 'Superman' leads admit they are feeling the pressure to live up to the hype of the iconic superhero's story. In Nelson Canlas' report on '24 Oras Weekend' on Saturday, Rachel Brosnahan, said it's her biggest challenge. 'I think it is kind of the constant pursuit of living up to the high bar that's been set for us by all the different versions of these characters that have lived before us,' she said. David Corenswet, the new Superman, added that director James Gunn and the rest of the cast and crew help alleviate the challenges on set. 'I think your focus goes to like, great, I want to show up for these people, I want to do good work for these people,' David said. David and Rachel also said that they also hope to come back to the Philippines as they do not have the time to explore. 'We've heard about the beaches,' David said. David and Rachel previously said they appreciate the love and support from Filipino fans. The cast and crew of the new 'Superman' film have expressed their profound joy and gratitude following their visit to the Philippines, which was the first stop of their world tour. In Nelson Canlas' report in '24 Oras' Friday, David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan talked about the love they felt from the Filipino fans. 'To show up and have people dressed as Superman and dressed as Hawkgirl and Mr. Terrific, and there were definitely some Lois Lanes out there, it's really just we get to come and celebrate this amazing legacy of these characters in this world and get excited for the new chapter that we're bringing,' David said. 'You know, we're the new kids on the block, and to feel that warmth and that kind of support as we're kicking off this tour was really, really special. So we're very grateful to have started here in the Philippines,' Rachel said. David will star as Superman and Clark Kent in the film, while Rachel will play the role of Lois Lane. Director James Gunn also explained his motivation for the approach of the movie, particularly in the current global climate. 'I think that we've gotten in the world—the world seems kind of mean lately. I think that I really just want to remind people and myself about the values of basic human kindness,' he said.
