Italy Grants Referees Legal Protection Amid Rise In Assault
Referees in Italy will now be granted the same legal protection as police officers and other public officials, according to Sports Minister Andrea Abodi. This initiative aims to reduce the increasing number of assaults in sports like soccer. A modification to the penal code will introduce significantly harsher penalties, including possible imprisonment, for acts of violence against match officials. These acts include pushing, hitting, or threatening referees. The decision follows months of discussions between the government and the Italian Soccer Referees Association. The law, which is part of a decree approved by the Italian government late on Friday, extends protection to all officials responsible for ensuring fair conduct in sporting events. Abuse towards match officials at all levels of Italian soccer has become an escalating concern. In December, Serie A referees highlighted this issue by wearing black smudges on their cheeks during matches as a form of protest. One notorious incident from last season involved 19-year-old referee Diego Alfonzetti, who was attacked while officiating a youth match in Sicily. In a show of solidarity, Alfonzetti was invited onto the pitch alongside the match officials before the Lazio-Rome Serie A derby in April.

'Betrayed Diplomacy': Iran Says US Attack On Nuclear Sites 'Beginning Of A Dangerous War'
Last Updated: Iran accused the US of betraying diplomatic talks and beginning a "dangerous war" after launching airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities. Iran's foreign ministry on Sunday condemned the US airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, accusing Washington of betraying diplomatic talks and beginning a 'dangerous war" against the Islamic Republic. In an official statement, Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, 'The world must not forget that it was the United States that, in the midst of a diplomatic process, betrayed diplomacy by supporting the genocidal and lawbreaking Israeli regime to impose a war of aggression on the Iranian nation." 'Now, in completion of that regime's unlawful and criminal acts, the United States itself has launched a dangerous war against the Islamic Republic of Iran," it added. Iran said the US strikes were in contravention of international law and revealed the extent of American hostility against Tehran. 'The war-mongering and lawless regime of the United States of America is held fully responsible for the dangerous consequences and far-reaching implications of this egregious act of aggression and heinous crime," it said, adding that Tehran is resolved to defend its territory and sovereignty by all force and means against this 'criminal aggression". It further said, 'The US unlawful attack on Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities, which occurred in the early hours of the 10th day of Israel's military aggression against Iran, has unequivocally exposed Washington's criminal complicity with the Zionist regime in orchestrating and waging a war against Iran." Iran also urged an emergency session at the UN Security Council to condemn the attacks, warning that silence in the face of such aggression would 'plunge the world into an unprecedented level of danger and chaos." It also criticised the UN International Atomic Energy Agency's evident bias that caused the recent catastrophe. Tensions escalated dramatically in the Middle East after US President Donald Trump announced that the United States had completed a 'very successful attack" on three nuclear sites in Iran – including Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. Israeli leaders lauded Trump's 'bold decision" to attack nuclear sites in Iran as both arch-enemies traded fire again on the 10th day of the ongoing conflict. Over 400 people have been killed in Iran since Israel's June 13 attack. First Published:

Govinda TROLLED For Resting Head On Little Girl's Shoulder In-Flight: 'Iski Biwi Sahi Bolti Hain'
Last Updated: Govinda's new look with a moustache and tuxedo set the internet abuzz. A viral video from a flight showed him resting his head on a girl's shoulder, sparking criticism. Govinda, on Saturday, was papped sporting a completely different look. The actor wore a moustache and a tuxedo set with sunglasses. Just when fans were guessing the reason behind his new look, a video of the actor from a flight has emerged. The clip, which is spreading like wildfire, left the Internet trolling him and calling him 'creepy". Govinda, in a now-viral video, was seen resting his head on a little girl's shoulder seated right beside him. The girl looked painfully awkward and confused as Govinda recorded a selfie video, getting closer to her, looking at her, and then stepping back from the flight. It is to be noted that he was sporting the same moustache-look on the flight as well. However, the context of the video remains unclear – it could be from an actual flight or staged as part of a shoot. Nonetheless, the Internet criticised him and called him a 'creep". Watch the clip here: Reddit users reacted strongly to Govinda's video. 'What is he doing? Who is that little girl?", a user wrote. 'Iski biwi sahi hi bolti hai", commented another fan. Others wrote, 'Creep no.1", 'Yeh kya hai? Kaun hai? Aur kyun hai?", 'Had kar di aapne!", 'I hope that isn't a minor, regardless though wtf", 'Why is he doing whatever he is doing?" A section of netizens were of the opinion that it wasn't Govinda, since it was his new look tranformation, and said the video featured his body-double. On June 21, Govinda posed in front of what seemingly looked like a dumpster while flexing his new look. The actor's new avatar will make you wonder whether he is dressed up as the antagonist of a spy thriller. Taking to the comments, numerous fans lauded his new look. Others requested him to make a comeback. Meanwhile, Govinda has been one of the prominent newsmakers this year due to conversations around his alleged divorce with wife Sunita Ahuja. Earlier this year, rumours had it that the duo, who have married for over 37 years now, had approached the court seeking to separate. However, Sunita later dismissed divorce rumours, calling them fake. First Published:

At least three impacts in Israel during Iran missile attacks, 23 hurt
Several buildings were heavily damaged in the Ramat Aviv area in Tel Aviv, with holes torn in the facades of apartment blocks. "Houses here were hit very, very badly," Tel Aviv mayor Ron Huldai told reporters at the scene. "Fortunately, one of them was slated for demolition and reconstruction, so there were no residents inside. "Those who were in the shelter are all safe and well. The damage is very, very extensive, but in terms of human life, we are okay." The Israeli police said in a statement that they had been deployed to at least two other impact sites, one in Haifa in the north and another in Ness Ziona, south of Tel Aviv. A public square in a residential area of Haifa was left strewn with rubble and surrounding shops and homes have been heavily damaged, AFP photos showed. Eli Bin, the head of Israeli rescue service Magen David Adom, told reporters that a total of 23 people had been wounded nationwide in the attacks, with "two in moderate condition and the rest lightly injured." Two waves of missiles were launched at Israel from around 7:30 am (0430 GMT), the Israeli military said. Sirens rang across the country, with air defences activated shortly afterwards, causing loud explosions heard in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Israeli police reported "the fall of weapon fragments" in a northern area encompassing the port of Haifa, where local authorities said emergency services were heading to an "accident site". Reporting on missile strikes is subject to strict military censorship rules in Israel, but at least 50 impacts have been officially acknowledged nation-wide and 25 people have been killed since the war began with Iran on June 13, according to official figures. Tel Aviv, the southern city of Beersheba and the northern port of Haifa have been the three areas most frequently targeted by Iran.

‘Massive Success': How NIA Got Names Of 3 Pakistani Terrorists Who Carried Out Pahalgam Attack
Top NIA officials said they are working on the leads provided by the arrested accused to understand where the three terrorists could be hiding In a fresh twist to the Baisaran terror case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has revealed that three Pakistani nationals carried out the massacre killing 26 people. NIA spokesperson said these three are Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists whose names and identity has surfaced for the first time. The Jammu and Kashmir Police, soon after the attack, had released photos of three suspects, including locals such as Adil Hussain Tokar, a local terrorist from Anantnag in south Kashmir. The two others were Pakistani Hashim Musa and Ali Bhai. 'We have arrested two people and they have revealed that three Pakistani Lashkar terrorists were involved in Baisaran. These three are not the same whose sketches were released," a NIA official said. The two men arrested by the NIA in this case are accused of harbouring the terrorists who carried out the Baisaran massacre. 'Parvaiz Ahmad Jothar from Batkote, Pahalgam and Bashir Ahmad Jothar of Hill Park, Pahalgam – have disclosed the identities of the three armed terrorists involved in the attack, and have also confirmed that they were Pakistani nationals affiliated to the proscribed terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)," the NIA spokesperson said. As per the NIA probe, Parvaiz and Bashir had 'knowingly harboured the three armed terrorists at a seasonal dhok (hut) at Hill Park before the attack". 'The two men had provided food, shelter and logistical support to the terrorists, who had, on the fateful afternoon, selectively killed the tourists on the basis of their religious identity, making it one of the most gruesome terrorist attacks ever," the NIA spokesperson said. This is the first arrest made in the case, one-and-a-half months since the attack. Top NIA officials said they are working on the leads provided by the arrested accused to understand where the three terrorists could be hiding. A massive manhunt was launched based on the sketches released by JK police, but the fresh revelations have led to renewed efforts to identify the absconding Baisaran killers. 'This is a massive success," police officials in Jammu and Kashmir said. The NIA has arrested Parvez and Bashir under Section 19 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. The agency will seek further custody to question the duo after producing them in court.
