Major Dubai Roads Closing For UAE Tour 2025 On Friday

Major roads in Dubai will be closed on Friday, February 21 as part of the UAE Tour cycle race. The UAE Tour 2025 sees a total of 140 riders saddle up for the of the seventh edition of the cycle race. The event is organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and is the only UCI WorldTour race in the Middle East. The roads that will impacted will be: Sheikh Zayed Road Al Naseem Street First Al Khail Street Al Jamayel Street Al Asayel Street Al Khamila Street Al Khail Street Al Fay Street Hessa Street Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street Al Qudra Road Saih Al Salam Street Tripoli Street Rebat Street Nad Al Hamar Road Ras Al Khor Road Al Meydan Road Dubai-Al Ain Road In a post on social media, the RTA said: 'Participants will set off at 12.30pm from the American University in Dubai, heading towards Sheikh Zayed Road, passing through Al Naseem Street, Al Khail Road, Al Jamayel Street, and Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street, before reaching the finish line opposite Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University—a total distance of 160km. Road closures announced in Dubai for UAE Tour

Watch out for rolling road closures in Dubai on Friday, February 21, as part of the fifth stage of the UAE Tour cycling event. Traffic will be halted in phases to make way for the 160 km race, which starts from the American University in Dubai at 12:30 PM. Riders will pass through Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Naseem Street, Al Khail Road, Al Jamayel Street and Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street, before finishing opposite the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University at about 4:30 PM. The route will also cover First Al Khail Street, Al Asayel Street, Al Khamila Street, Al Fay Street, Hessa Street, Al Qudra Road, Saih Al Salam Street, Tripoli Street, Rebat Street, Nad Al Hamar Road, Ras Al Khor Road, Al Meydan Road and Dubai-Al Ain Road. As part of the traffic management procedures, some roads will be temporarily closed for 10 to 15 minutes. Take note: All the major road closures happening this weekend

Major road closures this weekend… Motorists, watch out this weekend – road closures are incoming, this time for the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge and the UAE Tour Women 2025 cycling event. These are the names and roads you need to aware of if you're driving out and about in Dubai. The challenge will take place on Sunday, February 23, and the 92km race will block access to Hessa Street, Al Asayel Street, and Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan from 6.10am to 8.22pm. Since these areas toads connect and cover some key areas like Al Reem, Damac Hills, Mira, Town Square, Global Village, expect delays here. There will be no access to Hessa Street between 6.10am and 9.50am which will then affect traffic in Studio City, Motor City, Sports City, Jumeirah Golf Estates, Al Barsha, Al Barsha South, Tilal Al Ghaf and Jumeirah Village Circle. The shorter races will take place on Saturday, between 6.15am and 9.30am which means that Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nayan towards and from Expo City Dubai will be closed. Roads will be closed from 12.30pm for the participants to commence the race, until 4.30pm. at intervals as part of traffic management. Motorists have also been advised to use alternative routes such as Ras Al Khor Road and Emirates Road until the event concludes. Traffic today… Delays are also expected on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Hessa Street today due to the start of the ICC Champions Trophy at Dubai Sports City, between 11am and 2pm, and again from 9 pm to 11 pm, according to the RTA.
