I'm not good at golf — but these 3 products make me look like I am
Golf is a game for everyone. It doesn't matter if you're as good as Scottie Scheffler or just starting out. That's what makes it such a wonderful activity. Every golfer reaches a phase where they're not quite a beginner anymore but they're still not good (at least not as good as they think they could be). That's where I am as a higher-handicap golfer a few years into my golf journey. But just because my handicap is high, doesn't mean I can't show up to course looking like I know what I'm doing. Today, I'm going to talk about two products I use every single round that make it seem like I know what I am doing (and one that just makes me look cool). Check them out and you'll be glad you did. I feel like I've been shouting from the rooftops about this rangefinder for the last couple of months, ever since I first saw it at the PGA Show. The CaddyTalk Cube is wonderful for those cart-path-only rounds since it can triangulate the distance from the ball to the flag without you standing over the ball. If you've played on a rainy day, you know how hard it is to pick the right club from the cart. This rangefinder solves that problem. Sure, cart-path-only is still three of the worst words you can hear before your round, but this device makes it less painful. On top of all that, it's just a good rangefinder. It features slope settings that can be turned off for tournaments, and it's small and compact enough to carry anywhere. It's currently my favorite rangefinder, and it'll probably be yours too, once you try it. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. This rangefinder is a game-changer for cart-path-only rounds, plus it offers accurate distance measurements with slope. It's not too expensive for a high-end, feature-packed rangefinder, too. Your buddies will think you have a superpower with the triangulation features, so even if you stink at golf, you'll be the best at giving distances. I have this bag in the now-sold-out Pink Lemonade color, and it's stunning. Every time I get paired with random golfers, they compliment the golf bag and ask about it. If nothing else, it's a good conversation starter when you get paired with other players. However, the bag isn't just about looking good; it also offers all the key functionality you could ever want. It features multiple pockets, a 5-way or 14-way top, super comfortable straps for carrying, and much more. No matter how many golf bags I test for our best golf bag buying guide, this one remains my favorite. Every detail is thoughtfully placed, and the build quality is high. Currently, I'd recommend the Orange Crush color if you want a bag that stands out, like the one I have. However, all the colors are nice-looking, and there's one that'll suit your style. This is simply the greatest golf bag I've tested so far (and I've tried at least a dozen). It has all the features you could want, from a magnetic handle to a small pouch for Zyn (or other small gadgets) and then some. And perhaps most importantly for a golf bag, it looks gorgeous. We've covered the three best golf apps for Apple Watch, and Arccos is the winner for me despite its high price tag. And while you can use it without an Apple Watch, either through your phone or the company's Link, I think Apple Watch is the optimal way to use it. Sure, you can use a dedicated golf watch like the Garmin Approach S50, but I think the Apple Watch delivers a better overall experience for both golf and daily life. I also think the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is the best choice because it offers the longest battery life (GPS apps like Arccos drain the Apple Watch's battery), but any modern model will work well. The data offered by Arccos will make it seem like you're a pro golfer. You'll know your distances for each club, where you're most likely to miss, and so much more. And after the round, you'll know how many putts you took, fairways you hit and your green-in-regulations. Your friends will think you're some golf statistician, but you just have a fantastic watch with an incredible app to support it. We're big fans of the Apple Watch Ultra 2, naming it the ultimate Apple Watch for good reason. Boasting a rugged titanium design with a stunning 49mm display, this smartwatch is ready for all types of golf rounds. Because Arccos is such a battery drainer, I prefer the Ultra 2 over the Series 10 for the extra battery life. Otherwise, a single round will use almost all of your battery.

Philip Morris stock gets a bump from smoke-free Zyn
Philip Morris (PM) shares continue to trade near record highs. The stock has gotten a big boost thanks to its product Zyn, a smoke-free nicotine pouch. Yahoo Finance Senior Reporter Brooke DiPalma takes a closer look at the stock in the video above. To watch more expert insights and analysis on the latest market action, check out more Asking for a Trend here. Well, Philip Morris' stock getting a good buzz from its smoke-free nicotine product Zyn. That stock hitting a record close on Friday. For more, we'll bring in Yahoo Finance senior reporter, Brooke DiPalma. Brooke? Good afternoon, Josh. Certainly record highs stock price for Philip Morris International. On Friday, it hit more than $184 per share. What's really driving that is that Zyn product. Really, its smoke-free portfolio. One analyst telling me that this is part of a multi-year growth story with lots of potential around that smoke-free business. Ever since it acquired Swedish Match a few years ago, that was the owner behind Zyn. And what we've seen here is this demand just keep growing. From Q1 of last year to Q1 of this year, we saw shipments to the US of Zyn cans move from 100 million to more than 200 million. They're passing that 200 million mark. And even since April of 2024, what we actually have seen is this shortage of Zyn here in the US that they say will recover by the third quarter. Now, one thing we also really like here is that it is a high margin business. Each can is only about six grams. So, it doesn't cost a lot to make, doesn't cost a lot to ship here. And also, this category of smoke-free products is really contributing to Philip Morris uh, International's revenue here. We know that as of Q1, which was in April, that business growing about 15% as far as revenue goes, 3.9 billion part of that overall picture of last quarter's revenue of 9.3 billion. Lots to watch there. I told you how, uh, on my commute home to New Jersey every night on that train, Brooke DiPalma, I see those Zyn fans. They're out there. You have been talking also to convenience store CEOs who've been talking about this product and how it's been impacting their business. Yeah, let's be real clear here. I got this story idea after I talked to Casey's General Stores CEO last week. He said specifically the business is growing a lot and some of that is what our merchants have done to give it more, uh, exposure and to reset it. They said, we've helped accelerate that. What he said was that in the last two years, they've seen this nicotine pouch smoke-free business grow 200%. In the last year alone, up 54%. I found that pretty surprising. So, I decided to dive into it. That's incredible. Great reporting. Thank you, Brooke. Appreciate it. Thanks. US Zyn boom pushed Philip Morris stock to a record. Wall Street still sees 'impressive growth' ahead.
Philip Morris International (PM) is riding the wave of smoke-free nicotine products with Zyn. The category has grown so much that convenience stores like Casey's (CASY) and Murphy USA (MUSA) have changed their shelves to cater to consumers looking for tobacco alternatives to satisfy their nicotine fix. "This is a multiyear growth story ... and there's a lot of potential there," CFRA analyst Garrett Nelson said in an interview. Zyn, which produces nicotine pouches without tobacco, was part of Philip Morris' acquisition of Swedish Match in late 2022. Zyn gained so much popularity in the US that it's facing a shortage that started in April 2024. The shortage will be over in the third quarter, the company said. "They are still a market share leader," Needham analyst Gerald Pascarelli said in an interview. "They've been capacity constrained because they were growing so rapidly ... they simply couldn't service the amount of demand." Shipment volumes of the product to the US increased from 132 million cans in Q1 2024 to 202 million in Q1 2025. Earlier this year, the FDA approved authorization to market 20 pouches per can under regulations that, among other things, would ensure that ads are targeted to adults ages 21 and older. Currently, nicotine merchants can sell 15 per can, with each individual pouch weighing 0.4 grams. (The total weight of the can is 6 grams.) Philip Morris' smoke-free business also includes heated tobacco products like IQOS and e-vapor products like Veev. In the most recent first quarter, it accounted for 42% of total net revenue. On June 13, Philip Morris International stock hit an all-time high record close of $184.33. Shares are up nearly 80% from a year ago. That's far more than what Nelson calls its "closest" competitor, Altria (MO), up more than 30%, which produces the brand called On! Nicotine Pouches. In the same period, the S&P 500 (^GSPC) was up roughly 11%. Philip Morris International's net revenue grew 5.8% in the first quarter to $9.3 billion. Smoke-free products like Zyn grew 15% to $3.9 billion; "combustibles," like cigarettes, showed flat growth at $5.4 billion. Gross profit grew 11.8% in the quarter to $6.3 billion overall, with smoke-free products specifically posting a 27.7% surge in gross profit to $2.7 billion. CFO Emmanuel Babeau told investors its gross profit was "fueled by the rapid growth of Zyn." In the US, the shipment volume of oral smoke-free products in pouches or pouch equivalents increased by 27.2%. Outside of the US, nicotine pouch volume also grew by 53% in emerging markets like South Africa and Europe, among others. "Nicotine pouches are relatively lightweight. You can ship a ton," Pascarelli said, adding that they are low-cost to make. The economy — boom, bust, or somewhere in between — won't be an issue, analysts said. "When you have a product that people like and is addictive ... consumers are willing to pay a premium," Nelson said. "Tobacco companies [are] being able to push through price increases very easily." One yellow flag: Is this the next Juul? "There was a ton of people underage that were vaping," Pascarelli said. That drew scrutiny from regulators because the products were flavored, which attracted younger users. Zyn uses flavors like wintergreen that are supposedly less ominous. "They're not these novel flavors (like mango) that really took off with the vapers" who skewed younger, he said. Convenience chains are benefiting too. Casey's General Stores CEO Darren Rebelez said he swapped out cigarettes with Zyn, moving them front and center in displays. Growth of the nicotine pouch business has doubled around 200% in the past two years and 54% in the last year alone. "It's growing a lot, and some of that is what our merchants have done to give it more exposure and to reset it ... we've helped to accelerate that," Rebelez said in an interview, adding that the "decline in cigarettes is real" as consumers experiment with other products. Earlier this year, convenience store 7-Eleven president Stan Reynolds told investors the company "made strategic investments" in expanding its tobacco offerings as "53% of adult smokers are looking to switch from cigarettes to noncombustible products." Once 7-Eleven made the switch, Reynolds said it has seen sales increase in the category. It's also making up half the loss in sales from the decline in cigarettes and is benefiting from higher margins. Per Philip Morris International, from 2012 to 2024, its cigarette shipment volume fell from 927 billion units to 617 billion units. Brooke DiPalma is a senior reporter for Yahoo Finance.
