Love Island star admits 'I lost everything' including flat after blowing money

EXCLUSIVE: Love Island favourite Anna Vakili has remained in the spotlight ever since she left the villa back in 2019 but it's not all been smooth sailing for the pharmacist turned podcast host Anna Vakili was forced to move out of her flat after spending all the money she made on the back of Love Island. The 34-year-old brunette beauty shot to fame on the fifth series of ITV2 dating show back in 2019 alongside the likes of Molly-Mae Hague, Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard. ‌ Over the past six years, Anna has remained firmly in the limelight and is now the host of the popular Sisters In The City podcast alongside her lookalike sibling Mandi Vakili. ‌ The dynamic duo have recently finished their sold out tour but Anna has revealed it hasn't been an easy ride since leaving the famous villa. Speaking on behalf of WhichBingo, Anna revealed: "Going on Love Island is great but it can go up and go down. "I made so much money when I came off Love Island but I got so excited I spent all of it and at one point I lost everything and had move out of my flat. "Now with the podcast it's gone back up and I'm not making the same mistakes I did when I was first out of Love Island. I'm going to be smart this time. "I grew up most of my life struggling for money and suddenly I got money and I didn't know how to manage it but you live and you learn and I'm lucky I've been given another chance." ‌ Before singing up for Love Island, Anna worked as a pharmacist and she returned to help out during the coronavirus lockdown but has since been forced to take a break from the role. She explained: "I was a pharmacist but I was probably the strangest pharmacist you'll ever meet with my fake tits and fake arse. I try to stay in it a little bit but I couldn't keep up with it. ‌ "What I do now is so different to pharmacy and I really enjoy this and that was really boring. The money is incomparable which is so sad because you study so hard." Anna went on to share some words of wisdom to the sexy singletons currently taking part in Love Island series 12 and confirmed that she won't be returning for All Stars. ‌ She said: "My advice would be when you come out be smart with your money and be smart with your cloud, do something with it. Find what you're good at and do it. "I'm just so grateful that after six years that I'm still in this industry but I just think there's no point of me doing All Stars because I know everyone and I know no one is going to be for me. "I'm open to other dating shows and Love Island Games because there's people from all over the world but not All Stars because the people on there are not my cup of tea." Love Island airs Sunday to Thursday on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm

I've been on every reality show but there's a dark side to them and I'm constantly worried about my next pay cheque

HE first rose to fame on the X Factor back in 2012 and while many have faded into obscurity, Jake Quickenden has firmly cemented himself as a household name. But the 36-year-old is the first to admit there's a dark side to it all, which rarely gets talked about but affects everyone in the industry - money. 4 4 Jake told us: 'I'm always worrying about work, you see work come and go, you're wondering when your next job's coming in. 'Obviously you go on a show such as Big Brother and you're loved by some people and hated by others, and there's a lot of factors that you have to think about with reality TV. 'It can be a tough place to be sometimes.' As well as the X Factor, Jake has appeared on I'm A Celebrity, Dancing on Ice, SAS Who Dares Wins and MasterChef to name a few. He has also appeared in a number of stage roles and is making a name for himself in the theatre world. Speaking to The Sun via WhichBingo, Jake - who is a dad of three - said: 'I'm obviously worried from job to job because money is the main thing that kind of keeps you ticking over. 'You want to pay your mortgage, you wanna be able to go on holiday when you choose and stuff, so I guess there's always a worry if you're not working, that you're not earning money. 'I'm not a multi-millionaire, but I've got savings in case some work doesn't come in for a year and I'm auditioning and it doesn't go my way. 'You've got to use your head and think, in the past when I was younger I'd probably just spend all my money and blow it and then not think about the consequences, but when you're a father and you've got a family and a house and a car to pay for then you do have to put a bit of money away for a rainy day or in case work's not coming in.' Jake and wife Sophie are parents to children Leo and Kit, who was born at the start of the year. Jake Quickenden and wife Sophie welcome second child together He is also step dad to Sophie's son Freddie from a previous relationship. The star revealed his kids are his biggest inspiration, telling us: 'Everything I do is for them. 'I wanna set them up for a decent life and I wanna give them a decent amount of savings.' And Jake has no plans of slowing down soon, adding: 'I don't feel I ever do enough, so I'll continue to just kind of work my a***e off and and hopefully continue for a very long time.' 4 4
