Brooklyn Beckham feud reaches breaking point with cash row and brother's swipe

Tensions between Brooklyn Beckham and his family have reached breaking point in recent weeks after months of rifts led to the 26-year-old snubbing his own father's birthday party. The feud is widely believed to have started in the run-up to Brooklyn's 2022 wedding to American heiress and actress Nicola Peltz. Reports claimed there was drama over the wedding planning, and recent sources have suggested the Peltz family are frustrated with the Beckhams for not contributing financially to the couple's extravagant lifestyle in California. Over the weekend, the mud-slinging intensified when insiders branded the Beckham's 'tight' and claimed that Nicola's parents "threw money at anything and everything" - including the two Los Angeles homes where Nicola and Brooklyn reside. In comparison, David and Victoria wanted to instil the importance of money into their children from a young age, with Brooklyn working as a barista at the age of 15. But friends have defended the financial support the couple receive from Nicola's billionaire parents, hitting back at claims she is 'spoilt'. A source close to Brooklyn and Nicola said: "Nicola doesn't deny she's had a fortunate life, and she's grateful for it. But she's also been working for over 20 years, and now writes, directs, and produces her own projects. "Her parents are proud to support their children, and the idea that this reflects poorly on them simply doesn't hold up." Tensions reached boiling point when Brooklyn and Nicola failed to attend David's birthday celebrations last month - despite flying to London to do so. It's thought the couple refused to attend after learning his ex - who was dating his brother Romeo at the time - was going to be there. Brooklyn also failed to acknowledge his dad for Father's Day. US website TMZ wrote: "Sources say Brooklyn and Nicola were told to show up to the main celebrations or they wouldn't get a chance to see the family... leaving the two saddened because they simply won't be around Brooklyn's brother Romeo and his girlfriend, Kim Turnbull." Kim, 24, split from Romeo, 22, amid the fallout and claimed she has been used as a "scapegoat" in the feud. Now, in a new interview with The Sunday Times Style Magazine, the DJ and model has opened up about how she deals with the limelight and juggling rumours about herself. She said: "It's definitely tough, whatever it is, when people are saying things about you that aren't necessarily true and, most importantly in my opinion, don't align with your character and your values. "You want to turn around and reply to every comment and have your say in it, but at the end of the day you just can't." On Saturday, Brooklyn's younger brother Cruz appeared to take a swipe at his eldest brother, declaring the "truth would unfold". The 20-year-old took to Instagram to show his support for his parents, sharing pointed lyrics from The Beatles 1969 song with the tentative title of The End to his Stories. Fans were quick to the link the lyrics to the Beckhams ongoing feud with Brooklyn. They read: "Love you, I love you / Love you, I love you / Love you, I love you / Love you, I love you / And in the end / The love you take / Is equal to the love you make". He captioned the post: "The truth will unfold". It has been claimed that Brooklyn's decision to purchase a new home in LA and put down roots in the American city was tied to him wanting to create permanent distance from his parents and their base in London and the Cotswolds. But an insider denied this. Speaking to the Daily Mail, they said: "This house has nothing to do with family dynamics. David and Victoria also own property in the US, this is no different. "Both Nicola and Brooklyn's careers are based in Los Angeles, and Brooklyn spent part of his childhood there while his father played for LA Galaxy. During that time, he attended school in LA for several years and built a life and friendships in the city. LA has always felt like home to him."

Kim Turnbull denies dating Brooklyn Beckham amid family feud

Kim Turnbull, the ex-girlfriend of Romeo Beckham, has spoken out following growing speculation about her alleged involvement in the Beckham family feud. In a candid interview with The Sunday Times Style Magazine, Turnbull addressed rumors suggesting she had dated Brooklyn Beckham, labeling them 'completely false.' 'I have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity with the person in question,' she previously wrote on Instagram. 'I will not continue to receive harassment or be embarrassed on the basis of lies.' The rumors emerged after Turnbull and Romeo Beckham, 22, reportedly split after seven months of dating. Although sources insisted the breakup was unrelated to Nicola Peltz, Brooklyn's wife, tensions in the Beckham family have reportedly escalated, with Turnbull said to have been made the 'scapegoat.' Peltz, 30, allegedly told others she felt uncomfortable around Turnbull, and neither she nor Brooklyn attended David Beckham's 50th birthday celebrations. They also failed to publicly acknowledge Father's Day. Turnbull opened up about the emotional toll, stating, 'It's tough when people are saying things that don't align with your character and values.' Despite the backlash, she says she's learning to take things 'with a pinch of salt.' A source told The Mail that the breakup with Romeo 'just fizzled out' and that both remain friendly.

Holly Willoughby's devastating admission as she discusses life after murder plot

Holly Willoughby has opened up on the toll the vile plot had on her life (Image:) Holly Willoughby has made a heartbreaking admission after opening up on taking a step back from our screens after a sick plot to kidnap and murder her. The former This Morning presenter left the show in October 2023 following 14 years on our screens. At the time she announced she was doing so 'for me and my family'. Sharing the news online, she wrote: 'It's been an honour to just be part of its story and I know this story has many chapters left to go. Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family. I will miss you all so much.' The court heard how the sinister plan had had a 'life-changing' impact on Holly, who bravely waived her right to anonymity. In a rare interview earlier this year, Holly courageously opened up on her experience stepping back from the spotlight following the ordeal. 'I wouldn't wish what happened to me on anybody at all — sometimes things go wrong, but you have to keep going for it because that's all you can do. You have to hold on to, ultimately, [how] all this serves its purpose. A lot of the change has been really good, you know? I've spent a long time not being able to take my kids to school,' she told The Sunday Times Style Magazine. 'I know, the school run, every [other] parent, they'd be like, 'Christ, you absolutely dodged a bullet there.' But there have been so many assemblies I haven't been able to go to, so many things I've missed. Harry [her eldest son], is doing his GCSEs at the moment, this is his last year of school before he goes off to college and A-levels and stuff.' She added: 'And actually I'm grateful for having this time. Without even realising it, I think I've missed that. It's really lovely to get some of that back.' The terrifying kidnap and murder plan is laid bare in new Channel 5 documentary, The Plot To Kill Holly Willoughby, which airs today (May 1). The programme looks back on the events from 2023, when Holly was quickly replaced ahead of appearing on This Morning after learning about the vile plot. The documentary airs tonight on Channel 5 at 9pm (Image: Dave J. Hogan/Getty Images) After Plumb was sentenced Nicola Rice, a specialist prosecutor in the Crown Prosecution Service, said: 'The sentence handed down to Gavin Plumb ensures he will remain in prison, where he can no longer threaten or harm women. 'There is no doubt Gavin Plumb posed a real danger and the CPS proved that his plans to kidnap, rape and murder Holly Willoughby were more than mere fantasy and he had every intention of encouraging others to help him. 'I hope today's sentence brings some comfort to the victim, as well as the victims of his previous offences and sends a clear message that the CPS will always bring the strongest possible case against those who plan violence against women.' Meanwhile in a statement, Holly praised the Crown Prosecution Service and those involved in convicting Plumb. She said: 'As women, we should not be made to feel unsafe going about our daily lives and in our own homes. I will forever be grateful to the undercover police officer who understood the imminent threat and to the Metropolitan and Essex police forces for their swift response. 'Thank you to the Crown Prosecution Service, the Rt Hon Mr Justice Murray, Alison Morgan KC, the members of the jury and all involved in this case for ensuring that justice was done and that the defendant will not be able to harm any more women. I would also like to commend the bravery of his previous victims for speaking up at the time. Without their bravery, this conviction may not have been possible.'
