Brooklyn Beckham feud reaches breaking point with cash row and brother's swipe

Tensions between Brooklyn Beckham and his family have reached breaking point in recent weeks after months of rifts led to the 26-year-old snubbing his own father's birthday party.
The feud is widely believed to have started in the run-up to Brooklyn's 2022 wedding to American heiress and actress Nicola Peltz. Reports claimed there was drama over the wedding planning, and recent sources have suggested the Peltz family are frustrated with the Beckhams for not contributing financially to the couple's extravagant lifestyle in California.
Over the weekend, the mud-slinging intensified when insiders branded the Beckham's 'tight' and claimed that Nicola's parents "threw money at anything and everything" - including the two Los Angeles homes where Nicola and Brooklyn reside. In comparison, David and Victoria wanted to instil the importance of money into their children from a young age, with Brooklyn working as a barista at the age of 15.
But friends have defended the financial support the couple receive from Nicola's billionaire parents, hitting back at claims she is 'spoilt'. A source close to Brooklyn and Nicola said: "Nicola doesn't deny she's had a fortunate life, and she's grateful for it. But she's also been working for over 20 years, and now writes, directs, and produces her own projects.
"Her parents are proud to support their children, and the idea that this reflects poorly on them simply doesn't hold up."
Tensions reached boiling point when Brooklyn and Nicola failed to attend David's birthday celebrations last month - despite flying to London to do so. It's thought the couple refused to attend after learning his ex - who was dating his brother Romeo at the time - was going to be there. Brooklyn also failed to acknowledge his dad for Father's Day.
US website TMZ wrote: "Sources say Brooklyn and Nicola were told to show up to the main celebrations or they wouldn't get a chance to see the family... leaving the two saddened because they simply won't be around Brooklyn's brother Romeo and his girlfriend, Kim Turnbull."
Kim, 24, split from Romeo, 22, amid the fallout and claimed she has been used as a "scapegoat" in the feud. Now, in a new interview with The Sunday Times Style Magazine, the DJ and model has opened up about how she deals with the limelight and juggling rumours about herself.
She said: "It's definitely tough, whatever it is, when people are saying things about you that aren't necessarily true and, most importantly in my opinion, don't align with your character and your values.
"You want to turn around and reply to every comment and have your say in it, but at the end of the day you just can't."
On Saturday, Brooklyn's younger brother Cruz appeared to take a swipe at his eldest brother, declaring the "truth would unfold". The 20-year-old took to Instagram to show his support for his parents, sharing pointed lyrics from The Beatles 1969 song with the tentative title of The End to his Stories.
Fans were quick to the link the lyrics to the Beckhams ongoing feud with Brooklyn. They read: "Love you, I love you / Love you, I love you / Love you, I love you / Love you, I love you / And in the end / The love you take / Is equal to the love you make".
He captioned the post: "The truth will unfold".
It has been claimed that Brooklyn's decision to purchase a new home in LA and put down roots in the American city was tied to him wanting to create permanent distance from his parents and their base in London and the Cotswolds.
But an insider denied this. Speaking to the Daily Mail, they said: "This house has nothing to do with family dynamics. David and Victoria also own property in the US, this is no different.
"Both Nicola and Brooklyn's careers are based in Los Angeles, and Brooklyn spent part of his childhood there while his father played for LA Galaxy. During that time, he attended school in LA for several years and built a life and friendships in the city. LA has always felt like home to him."
